Lew's dad was having chest pains today and was taken to the hospital. He's had some heart problems in the past. Right now the diagnosis is an irregular heartbead which may have caused a minor heart attack.

He's being transferred to another hospital soon, one where his doctors are on staff, which means his condition is good enough to allow that. Lew's been with him since early afternoon and he probably won't make it home for a while.

I'd appreciate it if you could send some good thoughs his way. Thanks.

Router trouble here... I'm no longer wireless... Luis is about to go get a new router to fix that though

Alan - no, i was never a cheerleader - i was in the :rockband:

Star and Bethany - it is so much easier when they are in school all day - will be even better when my DD gets to that point.

Star and Bethany: I too am going to be the mother of the first grader soon.......June 4th! Makes me sad? well, maybe a little.....(hey, where's that underwear waving smilie when you need it?)

Busy day here today...running errands, school paperwork, last minute stuff. Kaitlin has her end of the year party tomorrow for her class that I volunteered to help with...hopefully it will not rain! :sunny:

I am so jealous of all of you going to the Angelcon Lou-ow. I wish I could come.

I started buying the paper products for Sarah's party. We will have to hope for no rain that day. I want to be able to go outside, cicadas or not.

I wish school was almost over for us! Nick has decided to work through the summer to complete 5th grade so he can be in 6th by the end of October. Of course I won't push this so if he decides to take it slower that is fine with me

I must have missed the Angelcon news too!! :confused3

I can't remember anything else. My brain is too tired and I am being sent signals by our black and white furbaby that it is time for bed :cat:

I'm praying for Lew's dad. It sounds promising that they were able to move him.

Tonight was Amy's band concert. They played the them from PotC and All That Jazz. Both made me think of angels. It was the last concert of the year. Yay! David just has to play for graduation.

By the way, he's trying out for Junior drum major. Think good thoughts for the next few days please. There are 6 or 8 great kids trying out. He has a great attitude and won't be heartbroken if he doesn't get it, but it'd be cool if he did.

On the other hand, September cant come fast enough for him to be in school all day. I just dont know what I will do with all that free time

I'm a little sad about that, I'm gonna be pretty lonely.

Starting next year all the kindergartens here go full day so I feel lucky I got the last year of the halfers.

Morning. Long day yesterday. Lew finally got home close to 11 last night and his dad is settled for now. There were some "issues" going back to his stay in the nursing home in February that were never resolved and that created a big-time delay in getting him admitted last night. He's OK other than the concerns with his heartbeat. Thanks for the good wishes.

I'm doing some training at work today, tomorrow (yuck!) and a few days next week. I don't mind but the timing stinks. Have a good day everyone. :wave:
