Angela's Journey to the Life She Deserves (Posts Welcome!)

God morning Angela,
 for you today. Sounds like last night was tough, but today is a brand new day! You did manage to get your exercise in and that is always a good thing. Plus, you did have points left over. I hope that things are better with DH too.

Take good care of you today and have a wonderful day!

Tracy :wave2:

Angela, I'm not sure you can call it a binge if you're COUNTING the chips!! :rotfl: :rotfl: That just proves that you're making this a way of life - you can eat those chips but mentally you're counting them and adding up the points!! You should be proud of you!

I hope today goes better, especially with DH. My DH and I are the same way - we usually misunderstand each other rather than disagree. :D Just another good reason to make up! ;)

I'm glad you're doing so well with your treadmill! I bet your next visit with the scale will be a happy one!! ::yes::

Have a fabulous Wednesday! :sunny:

Angela- I have to admit I didn't do the stepper last night. :( I feel like I really let you down, didn't stick to my end of the deal. :( Well, it won't happen again tonight! I am motivating myself all day here at work to keep my date with the *evil* stepper! :bounce:
Sorry your day didn't end on a high note yesterday. i had a difficult time with emotional eating yesterday as well. Well, we are learning new things about ourselves and our triggers as we go along. we are bound to get better at this, right?!::yes::
I hope your having a good day today Angela! Get on that treadmill a make it happen!:earseek:

angela, i agree with doe...you counted those chips, and you accounted points for them. you may have turned to food for comfort, which we know we shouldn't do, but it's hard! and at least you worked them into your points. this is a positive step, even though it feels like a backward binge. i hope you're feeling better now that it's a new day

hope your day goes well today :sunny:

Good evening everyone!

Thank you all so much for the encouragement. I don't know what I'd do without you guys. As my DD says, you're the best! ::yes::

Sharon--You didn't let me down at all. Sometimes life happens, and I completely understand. Sounds like we had a simliar day yesterday. I sure hope yours was better today. :D

Today was a pretty good day. Wednesdays are always really busy around here for some reason, but I managed to get in 3 miles on the treadmill (broken down into 2 miles this AM and the last mile this evening). Foodwise I'm still not making very creative or wise choices. I just don't have the energy to think too much when it comes time to cook, and we've been so busy that a big cooked meal just hasn't been possible lately. Oh well...there's always tomorrow and the promise of grilled chicken.

I hope that you've all had great days. I'm off to, hopefully, catch up on today's journals before DH glares at me to come help with the kiddos. Good night everyone!

 Hi there Angela,
Did your dh happen to write a trip report about your Dec. 2002 trip? I pulled up all the trip reports with MVMCP in them awhile back and seem to remember a newly pregnant dw report :D .

You are really doing great with points and exercise this week. I know what you mean about not having the energy to cook big meals. Lately, I haven't been cooking much myself. What I like to do is cook at least a couple of good meals a week and then have leftovers ::yes:: . Oh yes, and the crockpot is a lifesaver too.

Hope you have a bright and sunny day :sunny: ! It's pouring like the dickens here ;) .

Hey Angela! WTG with your exercise again!:teeth: You are doing great!!
Here's an idea for some quick healthy foods. I pick up the bag salad in the produce dept, use grape tomatoes, add a little skim milk mozzarella cheese, pre sliced mushrooms and some of the baby carrots - viola! Salad without having to cut a single thing! Plus, other than the cheese, everything is zero points! I also like the lean pockets (frozen food) for lunch - the chicken one is only 4 pts. And chicken noodle soup is only about 2 pts for a cup. I know what you mean about not being creative with your food. Careful, because if you get in too much of a rut, it is easy to go off plan!
Hope you have a great day today Angela! We are definitely on for exercise again!!

Hi Angela!
You are doing a great job with exercising and with your food choices! Keep up the good work!:Pinkbounc

I hope you have a wonderful day today!:sunny:

Happy Friday everyone!

I didn't even make it online yesterday. :( DS is cutting 3 teeth right now, and it's making him miserable. All he wants is to be held by "ma ma" so that's pretty much all I did yesterday. I didn't even get on the treadmill, but I did walk (holding my little 20 pounder, no less) for about 30 minutes while waiting for my car to be serviced at the dealer. Does that count, Sharon? DS was up off and on all night, but he seems to be feeling pretty chipper this morning. Hopefully that will hold, and I'll get my 3 miles in tonight.

I went a little nuts  with food yesterday. DH was handling dinner (see above), and he ordered pizza. I was starving, so I ate...and ate...and ate. If WW works like it used to with banking points, then I'm okay for the week. I went over by 14.4 points yesterday. :earseek: Today's a new day...and I'm still full from last night.

Val--DH did write a trip report. He posts under "Goofmeister" so if that's what you read, then you now know what I have to deal with on a daily basis. :p

Sharon--Thanks for your encouragement and for the food tips. The salad sounds great! ::yes::

Tracy--Thanks for stopping by. I always appreciate your cheery posts!

I hope that you all have a fantastic day! :sunny:

Hi Angela!
Your poor DS!:( I remember the days of cutting teeth. With Emily, you never knew that she was teething. With Caley, everyone knew she was teething. When we went to WDW last May, Caley was cutting four teeth at the same time. All things considered, she did pretty well until we came home to Ohio. Whew! I hope that he starts feeling better and that you both get lots of good sleep tonight!::yes:: :o

As for the food thing yesterday... I completely understand. It sounds like yesterday was a tough day and that pizza sounds pretty good. Today is a new day and yesterday is forgotten. By the way.....what were we talking about? ;)

I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend, Angela! Take care!

Tracy:wave2:

:wave2: Hi Angela,
Aww, I hope ds is doing better today. I remember those days of cutting teeth...no fun for anyone :( .

Pizza does me in everytime. Don't know why but once in a while you just gotta have it. You sound like you're in a good mind frame about it though. Like you said, today is a new day.

Wishing you a happy weekend :sunny: !

Hey Angela - I hope DS is feeling better. Nothing worse than not getting anything done because you can't put him down even for 5 min! But on the other hand, I'd love to do it again for a day!:teeth: I just don't want to do it 24/7 again, thus no more kids for me!
Yes, the 30 min of walking while holding an extra 20 lbs DEFINITELY counts!!!:teeth: So, yes, you got your exercise in Friday!:bounce:
Pizza - what can I say? I had a terrible run it with it the first Friday of lent. Then I had it again last Friday and it just wasn't so great. I kinda lost my taste for it?! I don't know, but I do think those things get easier as we go along. ::yes::
I hope you have a great day and you get a chance to relax a little bit. We have fog and maybe s**w, so heres some :sunny: for you!

Hi guys!

Thanks Tracy, Val, and Sharon for stopping by and thinking of DS. He's feeling much better today, which is great after 3 nights of not sleeping or being put down at all. Tracy, my kids are the same way. We never knew DD was teething until we saw the tooth, but DS lets us know loud and clear. I'm dreading the molars already!

I got a new Pilates video on Friday (Pilates Crunch for the abs, butt, and thighs) and have done that the past two nights. Eating hasn't been that great...too many sweets. I'm staying within points, but that means very little to me if I'm filling up on junk. I've got to focus on eating MUCH healthier this week!

After DD's soccer game yesterday, we headed to Home Depot and purchased some new shrubs and flowers for our landscaping. After a couple of hours of digging and getting sunburned (sorry, Sharon), our front yard looks so much better. Then I came inside to be depressed as I watched my beloved Cowboys lose a heartbreaker. Grrr....if they'd only played how they're capable of playing, we'd be playing for the championship Monday night.

DS is getting tired of being on the floor (what else is new  ) so I've got to end this little rant now.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!

~Angela :wave2:

Good Morning Angela! How is the little guy doing today? Better I hope! :) And how are your muscles fairing? (I'm not even gonna ask about the sunburn.... )
Okay, its a new week. Are we challenging each other for exercise? I still need a little kick in the you know where to keep me on track! :p
Alright, you need to stay 100% OP this week, cause I'm sure with Easter we'll all be falling apart next Sunday.
Hope you have a great day today! :wave2:

Good morning Angela,
I hope your little guy is feeling better.::yes:: And did I read that you got sunburnt yesterday? Please send some of that sun our way. :sunny: We woke up to snow yesterday morning. Blah!:(

Hope you have a great week! Take care!

Tracy:wave2:

:wave2: Hi Angela,
Just stopping by to wish you a Happy Monday :sunny: ! Hope all is going well with ds and the teeth.

Happy Monday everyone!

Today is starting off great! I woke up to a phone call from DD's teacher. She wanted to let me know that Samantha was chosen as her school's student of the month. They had a presentation during chapel (she goes to a Christian school) this morning, and I cried. She's so grown up already. Where in the world did the time go?

Anyway...I got to grab my 20 pound clippie this morning because I lost 2 pounds last week. :jumping1: It's got me so motivated that I'm back into this 100% now! Yippee!! ::yes::

Sharon...We are definitely on for exercise. I need you to reciprocate with that big kick in the behind. It's amazing how this little challenge is paying off. :p

DS seems to be doing much better today. He has a doctor's appointment this afternoon to check his ears. Hopefully they'll at least be getting better. His teeth have come through some, but they've still got a long way to go. At least they're not hurting him anymore. :wizard: *** that it stays that way!

Thanks to you all for stopping by and for your unending support of me so far. It's making a huge difference, and I hope each of you know how important you've become to me. ::yes::

Have a great day everyone!

~Angela :wave2:
