Ok, I've been meaning to update this but the last few days of our vacation just kept me too busy!
On Thursday the 6th, ds's birthday, we had an early breakfast at Ohana and then headed to Epcot for the day. We intended to hop over to HS later for Fantasmic but Ds didn't really want to hop so we stayed. This day was cooler weather and it rained later in the evening but it was still a great day. We did so much-Soarin', TT (twice for me!), Mission Space (Ds only), Maelstrom, Ellen, Journey, EO, Gran Fiesta Tour and the American Adventure. Had a great, long lunch. The best part of the day was when we were standing at American Adventure waiting for the next show. Ds was wearing the birthday ears and his button. A CM came walking up and called for my Ds's name, asking if there was someone there by that name because they had a phone call. Long story short, we all followed ds wide eyed while the cm chatted with him, handed him the phone and Goofy sang him Happy Birthday. It was just way too cool!
Friday we did AK/HS. It was chilly and very rainy Friday morning but we trudged through. AK was a bit of a bust because Dinosaur was down and ds didn't want to do much else in the rain. Luckily Dinosaur opened back up before we left so we got one last ride. Stopped at Rainforest Cafe for lunch. Although I love the atmosphere, my food wasn't that impressive, considering the price. But my Mom loved her meal.
After a quick wardrobe change for me in the room, we headed to HS and spent the rest of the day there. Although Fantasmic is a must see for us usually, ds was tapped out so we skipped it and headed back to Pop to hop a bus for DTD. Got some dinner and got ds some Legos and headed back.
Saturday, our last day, we spent a couple hours at MK.
Overall, it was an AMAZING trip! The only thing I think I would change is having more time with just my DS and I, which was the original reason for the trip. But that's not a Disney thing. It's an I-invited-her-for-three-days-and-she-bought-a-five-day-hopper thing.
We tried a ton of new things this trip-boat ride from HS, Magical Express (new for ds), Beaches and Cream, Rainforest Cafe (again, new for ds), staying on property (New for ds), BOG, Lights Motor Action (Seriously had never seen this and I LOVED It), and probably a couple other things I'm just not remembering right now.
The only thing we didn't do, that I REALLY wanted to do was get ds a haircut at Harmony. So he remains quite shaggy!
Highlight of the trip, hands down, was the MSEP with ds on Sunday. <3
And that's our trip in a nutshell. I'm currently planning our next jaunt for two weeks in June!
