And This is Why They Added DOORS to the TRAM! - Nov. 12 TR*END THOUGHTS 11/17 Pg. 27*

Great update...and who doesn't love Dumbo?

Love the pictures with Goofy and Daisy.

Great update! The Storybook Circus area is so cute! I really need to go on Dumbo someday, I say I'm going to on every trip and I never do! :confused3

Aww Goofy and Donald are so cute! I wanted to meet them in November when we met Minnie and Daisy but we just didn't have time! And for some reason I keep getting confused and thinking Pluto is with them. I really need to meet Pluto on my next trip too! :thumbsup2

I'm so jealous that Jenni can sleep in a plane. Like you, I can't!

I'm so jealous she can! Every time I try.....epic fail.

I hope you are doing well.

I'm sorry I'm late to join in.

Thank you. It's okay being late, I've been late to many of these before. ;)

I also loved the "under the sea ride". But I wouldn't wait hours for it.

Isn't the "going under the sea" effect cool?

I love it too, but I agree, I would wait may 30 minutes max for it. I love the under the sea effect, it's one of my favorite parts.

The new meet and greet is just too cute! I love Storybook Circus. A lot.

I love that area too, and love the meet and greet. Anyplace that I can consistently see Donald is okay with me. ;)

Great update...and who doesn't love Dumbo?

Love the pictures with Goofy and Daisy.

Everybody loves Dumbo! In past years I just haven't gotten on often because of the lines. But that shouldn't be a problem anymore. :thumbsup2

You definitely need to go on Dumbo someday. It's a rite of passage. :cool2:

We didn't get to Minnie and Daisy on this trip, so I'm looking forward to doing that in July.

I did feel like I was in Dumbo. LOL
Nice pics with the characters.
All caught up again.

"I Went to Rock and Roll Heaven, and I Wasn't on the Guest List"
Debra - Empire Records

We had just finished up meeting with Donaldo and Goofini, and decided to make our way over to Tomorrowland. But not before getting some Photopass pictures along the way!!!!

Extreme close up!

Where did we head after getting to Tomorrowland?

Yes yes. I had to get my scoring fix on. I love this ride! Love love love love. Well, let's just say that I love winning. Hehehehehehe.

Upon entering the ride, we were given this.

I my friends, was the keeper of the read time card. I'm so special!

The wait time was posted at 40 minutes, but we actually waited only 20.

"Yes sir I will accept my mission to defeat Emperor Zurg!"

I was off my game a little, I have to admit! I'm ashamed.

Jeni's score.

Our conversation after the ride went a little like this:

Me: Man! My score was horrible that time. I'm ashamed!

Jeni: Well, it's just me and not your brother, so don't worry!

So true dear SIL. So true. See, if I had lost to Jason, he would have been all like "nanana boo boo, yooooouuuuu loooooooosssssstttt!"

Brotherly love, I tell you. Brotherly love.

Of course, my sisterly love back to him would consist of me punching him in the face. :thumbsup2

After that, we decided that we were going to eat some lunch. Earlier in the day, we were like "oh, let's go to Be Our Guest for lunch! We'll just be there right at 11am".

You would think I was an amateur. For realz. A straight up amateur. "Oh, tra la la, this amazing new restaurant just opened, and I'm going to show up at 11am and get right in. That's exactly what's going to happen. Aren't I pretty?"

:upsidedow

That's not what happened. We got there, and there was a MOB of people all the way back on the bridge. We literally made it, from 200 yards away saw the crowd, and were like "NOPE. Not happening!" Seriously. There were so many people, it's not even funny.

And that was my amateur mistake.

We both discussed and knew we would be eating dinner there in July, so we opted out of waiting. BUT...we were hungry. Man, HONGRY!

So we figured we were close to Fantasyland, so we went to Pinocchio's Village Haus. I know, it's not the same at BOG. Don't judge me.

We ordered a chicken flatbread.

And a pepperoni.

And we split them between the two of us. They were good. Not Via Napoli, that's for sure.

Word to the wise. Don't eat pizza at Via Napoli, and then follow it up with flatbread from Pinocchio's Village Haus the day after. Just don't.

So, we're waiting in line at Pinocchio's and you know how the CS locations are set up? Right, you order, go to the right, and exit on your left. Simple. Right.

So we're waiting in the queue to our right, waiting for our food. This old dude (seriously, I should have called this TR The Revenge of the Crotchety Old Farts, based on this guy and the DUI guy), literally pushes past me in the line I'm standing in and goes "EXCUSE ME!", to go get his food.

Then, gets his food, turns around to exit, sees me standing behind him (hello! This is the line FOR FOOD!) and goes "EXCUSE ME!" again.

I didn't budge. I motioned my head to the left at the sign that says EXIT. He finally figured it out (ding ding ding ding ding), that he was trying to push through the line.

Then, this other guy that was also waiting to the side to get his food, turns around after he grabs his and goes "EXCUSE ME!" I must have had a look on my face, because he was like "I'm kidding, I'm kidding!"

I look at Jeni and I'm like "I was going to seriously punch him in the face if he was for real".

No, I'm not violent, I promise. :flower3:

After our lunch and our ordeal with pushy old fart, we headed over to the Haunted Mansion.

"Oh, herow!"

One of the side effects of going to WDW over Thanksgiving are the crowds. The wait time wasn't bad, but DUDE. The sheer magnitude of people that were in the area AFTER the stretching room.

Moo.

I'm going to say it again.

Moo.

We were cattle.

Moo moo.

Up next: I'm makin' waffles!

We're planning to do lunch and dinner at BoG in July. I'm thinking we'll line up nice and early :lmao:

Great picture of you. You look great! And, I should have posted this on the PTR (but I read the updates back to back and got myself all confused) but WAY TO GO! How awesome are you running 10ks? Keep it up, you're doing great!:yay:

I am so looking forward to eating at BOG. YEAH only 8 more working days and dad and I leave for FL :drive::drive::drive:

I always feel special when carrying the wait time card too. It's such an honour.

I kind of feel sorry for folks who don't eat counter service. It's such an "entertaining" experience!! :crazy2:

Haha, so much violence in this update.

We're going to attempt to eat lunch there at some point too, but I now know that if you want to eat lunch there, you have to show up at 10:30am. :rotfl2:

That's okay that you read the updates backwards. Sometimes I can't keep everything straight either, but I'm super excited that I've made it this far from a fitness perspective. :goodvibes

So do I. But then again, it doesn't take much to make me feel special. :lmao:

It is an "entertaining" experience. It's also the main reason that I like to eat CS at off times. I just don't like contending with that much stupid at one time. :rotfl2:

So so much violence. Hahaha!

Wow, you think that score is BAD for Buzz??? You should see my scores! Like seriously, 20,000 if I'm lucky! :rotfl2: I HATE that stupid ride! :rotfl:

I'm lucky that I got to go to lunch at BOG during the dress rehearsal, because the line wasn't that long, we just walked right in, but I kind of want to go again in December, and I know it's going to be impossible. Sigh. Disney problems.

I've never been to that Pinocchio place, but that pizza looks good! I love the Via Napoli "authentic" pizza, but that generic Disney pizza is just so yummy sometimes! That guy who tried to get by you though, what a jerk! Ugh!

(And don't worry, I say I'm going to punch people in the face all the time, I'm surprised no one at Disney hasn't heard me yet! :rotfl:)

Holy Cannoli! You call that a bad score? Yeesh! I don't want to ride Buzz with you because I fear my self esteem would be mortally wounded. :rotfl:
Ahh too bad BOG was too backed up for you to eat there.

Word to the wise. Don't eat pizza at Via Napoli, and then follow it up with flatbread from Pinocchio's Village Haus the day after. Just don't.

Noted. :thumbsup2

Gotta love when people push through a crowd the wrong way.

I love most of the HM queue until the cattle herding part. That drives me nuts.

Your score on Buzz looked good to me.
I love Pinocchio’s to eat at.
Rude people annoy me.
All caught up.

So, I’m playing serious catch up again.  However the good news is I have discovered two new beverages to try in the World Showcase- Rosa Regale and Nuvo. And since I MUST have a Grand Marnier Slushie whenever in go to Epcot, I’d better plan on taking the bus rather than driving to this park the next time I go if I’m going to try these as well. I rarely drink, so it doesn’t take much.

I love the Ariel queue, too! It is awesome. I love the whole NFL section, but my favorite part is the BatB parts. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movies of all time. I feel like they just plucked the village out of the movie and set it down in FL. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

I love Storybook Circus, too. The whole area is so much nicer than Toontown. I was a little sad to see Mickey and Minnie’s houses go, but I’m sure they will eventually find some where to settle. Until then, I hear Cinderella has a really nice spare room in her castle.

Love the character pics from Storybook Circus. Our last visit I tried to get my daughter to go in the tent to meet the characters, but she just wasn’t interested. You’ve seen Goofy once…. Next time, I will make her go. I love Donald’s costume. Shame he was boring for you. I don’t think I’ve ever met a boring Donald. Aurora yes, she always has an “I’m too good for this” attitude, but Donald? It takes some serious skill for Donald to be boring! Too much to work with.

Back to back postin'. What, what! (It's Friday..what can I say?)

Let me just say, I would be doing handsprings if I got that score on Buzz. I am just not good at that game. No good!

I love CS lines. I really do. The trying to back out the way you came through the pick up line. Awesome! It shouldn't take a sign or a degree in rocket science to figure out that this big empty space to my left is for me to exit with my tray of food. And I've never seen people get madder when I actually follow directions and use both sides of the register to order and get "in front" of them in the ordering process. Look I can't help it that they don't follow directions or haven't noticed that this is the way CS works. If the CM wants to have the line on just one side they will tell me so. I really shouldn't laugh at those that don't understand, they probably haven't been to WDW a gazillion times. But honestly, when people are shouting use both sides of the register....

I am so jealous you are going to BOG next month!!! I had to cancel the reservation I had in May there. I just wanted to cry. Here was the conversation:

Me: Yes, I need to cancel a dining reservation
CM: Okay, do you have the reservation number
Me: Yes. It is 439thisnumberistoolong
CM: (Upon seeing the reservation) Oohhh. Are you sure you want to cancel this?

I look forward to your pictures and a description of the event. Here's hoping there are no crotchety old farts there to dampen the experience for you.

I saw that BoG lunch line at 10:30 and it was crazy. Nope. Not doing that. Thank goodness I had a dinner ADR.

OK, I can't stand counter service for just the reason you mentioned. I find people like that very annoying and I'm glad you gave him the head tilt directions. Too funny! :rotfl:

That line after the stretching room always makes you feel like a cattle. I am always afraid someone is going to step on me because of the way the line moves.

Fun update!

I'm very hard on myself and extremely competitive. :lmao:

I definitely want to check out BOG for lunch too, based on the menu. I'm hoping to make it when we go next week.

The pizza at Pinocchio's Village Haus was pretty good. In comparison to Via Napoli though, it just wasn't the same.

Hahaha, I'm glad I'm not the only one that says I'm going to punch people in the face all the time. :rotfl:

Hahaha, yeah, sadly that is a bad score for me.

Yes, for sure Via Napoli is definitely superior to Pinocchio's Village Haus. Not that it would be surprising.

Agreed, the cattle herding part of the HM is the worst.

Your score on Buzz looked good to me.
I love Pinocchio’s to eat at.
Rude people annoy me.
All caught up.

Haha, agreed on all counts.

Subbing on... Back to read....;)

Glad you're here!

No worries, I've always felt like I have to play catch up on the DIS continuously I don't know where time goes most of the time.

Absolutely, have Rosa Regale and Nuvo. They are some of my favorites to sample around WS. It doesn't take much for me either.

I adore that queue also and the entire new section. BatB is one of my favorites too, but so is the Little Mermaid, so both of them being added just makes me very happy. I love all of it.

I love Storybook Circus, too. The whole area is so much nicer than Toontown. I was a little sad to see Mickey and Minnie’s houses go, but I’m sure they will eventually find some where to settle. Until then, I hear Cinderella has a really nice spare room in her castle.

I agree, I like Storybook Circus more than Toontown. They still have Toontown in California, and when I was there in April, I felt more out of place than I do when I'm in Storybook Circus, so I definitely think it was a good addition and change.

I want to make sure we see all of the characters in Storybook Circus next time we go. I love them in their costumes!!

Back to back postin'. What, what! (It's Friday..what can I say?)

Let me just say, I would be doing handsprings if I got that score on Buzz. I am just not good at that game. No good!

Everybody always tells me that too. I'm just the kind of person that wants to get the highest score all the time. :lmao: My name is Danielle....and I have a problem.

I love CS lines. I really do. The trying to back out the way you came through the pick up line. Awesome! It shouldn't take a sign or a degree in rocket science to figure out that this big empty space to my left is for me to exit with my tray of food. Right?! I don't understand. People do it all the time, but this guy just took the cake. I'm like "um........pay attention!" Ultimately, the moral of my story is that people who don't pay attention just drive me crazy!

I am so jealous you are going to BOG next month!!! I had to cancel the reservation I had in May there. I just wanted to cry. Here was the conversation:

Me: Yes, I need to cancel a dining reservation

I look forward to your pictures and a description of the event. Here's hoping there are no crotchety old farts there to dampen the experience for you.

Oh my god! Having to cancel the reservation would have been absolutely heartbreaking! I totally understand how you would have felt. I will make sure I take plenty of pictures of our meals there.

Fun update!

It's insane isn't it!? I knew it would be crowded, I just didn't realize it would be that crowded. We were both hungry and when we're hungry, we're just not willing to waste a lot of time. Hahaha. Jeni and I take our food very seriously. :rolleyes1

I'm an expert at the head tilt directions. I use them when I'm so irritated with people that if I use words, they might not be nice ones. :rotfl:
