Jen - so sorry to hear about DD! How scary! I hope her little chin feeling better today.

I_heart - I can't believe what is happening! I hope it gets resolved and your DS can have bully free days!!!! My friend called me hysterical last night that one of the boys in their neighborhood pushed her son down walking home from school yesterday, I just don't get why some kids think its okay to be violent!!!


DS is doing well and they pushed proactive antibiotics during the endoscopy so hopefully no ER today the bad news is that his stomach is not any better and he has to stay on all his meds and probably even up his doses we'll know more when we get the biopsy results. Such a helpless feeling!!!

Well, I'm glad his procedure went well although I'm saddened to hear the results were not what you had hoped.

I understand what you mean about feeling helpless. DD1 has her tooth extraction Monday and I can't even think about her going under a general without feeling faint. Parenting is such a tough deal. Totally worth it, but still

This year the DIVA trip is Wednesday, Feb 27th thru Sunday, March 3rd. Not everyone is there the entire time. Meals and/or activities are planned for all those days. You're free to join in as many or few things as you want. They also do a tee shirt that one of the DIVAs and her son design. This year DD is going with me for a couple of the days but she's not as into it as I am so I'm not sure just how many group activities I'll do on those days. I still need to buy a tiara for the princess photo .... I don't think DD is too thrilled about that one!!! One of the DIVAs is traveling thru Sacramento today and a bunch of us local folks are meeting her for dinner so at least I will have met a couple of people. I'll let you know what I think of the trip after I get back.

So, DH's meeting went very well. He has a way of getting results that I seem to lack.

I can't say for sure how well things will turn out, but there was no threatening or hurting today so that is a step in the right direction.

He did say that the principal ended the meeting by saying to please, please call asap if something else happens. His reply, IF something else happens I will be setting up a meeting with my lawyer and the superintendent. I'm sure he will fill you in after that. I'm sure you understand. I know you are doing everything you can, but this is my kid and there is nothing I won't do to keep him safe.She smiled and said yes, I get it. Progress!

Thanks again to all of you for your support and advice. Every day you all feel more and more like a second family.

Your DH sounds like mine, in being better at getting results. Hopefully this will be the last time your child has problems with this bully.

I really, really want to go on that Diva trip, Linda!!! Maybe....just maybe I can talk DH into letting just ME go next yr/ in January (that's when they usually are, right?) for the next one!!! I'd be your roomie, if you'd like to stay at Disney Land Hotel with me That's where I gotta stay when I go! How many days are the Diva trips? It is a group of DIS women who get together for an annual Disneyland Meet - they are very friendly and welcoming and begin a thread for the next trip right after they return from a trip. There is a LOT of planning and meets - whoever signs up can go to whichever get togethers they want to attend. Many of the DISers have been going for years, so they know one another well now.

I had wanted to go a couple of years ago, but was overwhelmed by the thread and could not keep up...and did not know anyone to room with or attend events.

Linda is meeting Laurie tonight or tomorrow - I almost roomed with Laurie
(DizNee Luver ), who is an amazing woman and real sweetie. It would have been her first time that year as well - now think she has gone twice...or maybe Jan will be her second time attending, not sure.

The thread is on the Disneyland Community Board - Linda will know the exact title of the thread, but it has Dis Divas in it, I think.

Melissa: Sorry to hear of what you are going through with your DS...sending lots of hugs.

Linda:and Minnie&Nana I am intrigued by this Dis Diva trip talk...only today I found myself daydreaming of a trip to WDW with all of you!!

Miss: Thanks for asking about DD4, she is doing ok, only a sore chin. But had to have her at the Doc for a Chest infection today, and she now has some meds to take too.

Iheart: So proud of you and your DH, you are making changes for your DS and I am sure you will keep getting results now. Please keep us updated. And I feel the same way about all the ladies here. When something happens good or bad around here I now have to first phone my mom, and then let you all know!! Keep looking forward to your upcoming trip...WOW I AM SO JEALOUS!!! But in a good way...

Marie: Yes I am so up for this type of trip too someday! Let me know how you will convince your DH, so I can use the same material on mine!


Side note...my mom was at the Dr.s with us too today. She told me she has been experiencing heart pains for a couple of months now but the past little while they have gotten worse. Last night she had some that scared her, and thought 'oh maybe I should see the DR.' They hooked her up and did some minor testing on her, and he said he is concerned, and should have her an appointment with a cardiologist within a week. She is scared...her mom (my nana) died of a heart attack at 74, only 1 year older than my mom. She had suffered with angina for years. He told her if the pains come again like last night or get worse to call 911.

Oh and my Dad's nose is still bleeding after being cauterized twice. The specialist now says he has a hole in his septum, and needs to have some minor surgery to fix that.

So....I am trying not to worry about all this stuff. DH asked me why I seemed so calm. But I don't want to worry now without all the info. I am hoping if there is something it can be corrected. I just wish she hadn't waited so long to go to the DR.

She is well, but her outpatient procedure turned into an admittance due to pain. She is strong and positive, as always and expects to be back home very soon. I had a milk shake in her honor today and I recommend you all do the same

Hi all,

Received an email from Sarah tonight. The surgery went well, and she ended up being admitted to the hospital as the pain was too much. With this surgery it can happen to some, and Sarah was one of them. She does have a private room, IV fluids and in her words &a lovely IV pain medicine that takes about 2 minutes to work. Both her and DH were relieved she was admitted as its where she needs to be.

Understandingly she is too tired to read or post on the DIS, but know she would send along her usual upbeat hello to all...
