So this morning I had to get up early since today I would be getting my braces off yay, and so my mother and I left my sister at home for a few hours while we were out. I come home to find her on Club Penguin and I wondered why not VMK. I eventually get on and decide to try and log on to the mule I created at VMK Central. To my suprise I find an IP Ban. Outraged I use the contact us to find both my account who has not been on in 2 days and my sister's account banned for 24 hours. I notice the description say "for telling someone you are home alone" and I knew right away that of course it was my sister. But then I was more angry with VMK because why would they ban my account as well if it was only hers? So now both of us get a mark up because of her mistake? I've talked to her and I find it ridiculous that she would say that and this is just wonderfulll. I sent a response to VMK about this strange situation and although its 24 hours, I should not suffer because of her mistake.

Just a warning to everyone if you have a sibling and 1 computer, trust no one because now we have a very angry brother to sit around all day.

Guess your sister needs to get you another Space mountain Mickey. I feel for you. What she did was very wrong. No kid should tell anyone that they are home alone. I hope your parents are dealing with this serious issue.

I feel bad for you. But VMK can not tell who own what account on the same IP address. Well at least it is only 24 hr banned could have been so much worse.

Aww, that stinks. VMK should only ban your sister so that she'll learn her lesson and be careful from now on. I don't believe it's fair for you to be banned but thankfully it is only 24 hours. This is why I don't want my younger brother to play. It would mean that I would have to sit next to him the entire time to make sure he doesn't reveal any personal information.

But on the bright side, congratulations on getting your braces off! Yay!!!

It stinks with how it is but as was said they can't tell who was on and what accts belong to who. At least it is just for 24hrs. Glad your parents handled things and did give her a punishment. I can imagine there are those that don't care. Which is just sad. As a mom myself I would have not only given a grounding out but taken online time away as well for that time frame.

So I logged on tonight after playing all day to find the following message from VMK in my mailbox:

We have no record of the avatar you mentioned being banned.

Now I have nothing against VMK_Shorty and he has helped me much in the past. I am though glad that it was not just a black hole. What I'm a bit angry about is that I know next time I need to grab a screenshot of my ban notice? Also the 24 hour ban was up at 10:32 ET this morning and they now sent this at 8:30pm ET, that is their promise every 48 hours, but still if I could have contacted someone sooner I could have shown them. So I wonder what in the world is going on? I was banned I recieved not only through the contact us but also the message when trying to log on. Unless my IP has changed since then which I highly doubt.(I did not try to get around my ban yesterday by changing the IP because I wanted to punish my sister). Is that how everyone would explain it?

It just seems to be worse and worse customer service on their part. You get a notice of a ban and that is the reply? Maybe they didn't check the dates and looked at it the day the sent the email out and at the time the ban was over. They seem to be lazy about going back and checking on actual things from how it seems with not just things but many other things as well.
Glad you didn't go around your ban and did it to teach her a lesson. Good for you.
