So where are your stockings?

Ours are currently hanging on the wall, secured by thumbtacks (we are very classy around here). Once they are filled, they will be sitting on the couch, leaning against the back cushions.

When I was really young, my parents had a fake plastic fireplace to hang the stockings on. After they got rid of that, my mom would just fill my stocking up and leave it under the tree on Christmas morning

This year when I got home from college my mom had the stockings on our staircase which I think is a great idea. Our staircase also is next to our dining room where we have Christmas dinner so it was a good place to add extra Christmas decorations.



Honestly, I don't think I've ever been in a house with a fireplace that had stockings hung on it Think it's sort of a tradition that has faded out maybe because not everyone has a fireplace.

I have a stocking rack that says "and the stockings were hung.........."
I bought it years ago at a craft fair. The stocking pegs are the old fashioned square nails. I love it.
We just moved into a new house and for the first time ever we have a fireplace. I hung my stocking rack above the fireplace, below the mantle, it is perfect

We have a fireplace but we also use a stocking rack/stand that's very cute. There are a lot of different styles. I have mine sitting/standing on the hearth close to the tree.
