We are definately getting up later and later as the honeymoon progresses! By now I am picking up the phone and slamming it down without listening to Mickey. We finally drag ourselves out of bed at 9. Ate breakfast in the room with our dwindling food supply. Glen is still going out and getting me coffee every morning while I'm in the shower - and he doens't even drink coffee!
We decided to take the car rather than the Disney transportation so that I could finish up my coffee in the car (Didn't want to lug around the refillable mug all day!)
Our first stop was MGM to finish up what we hadn't seen on Wednesdy. It was already past 10 by the time we got there.
Our first stop was Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey. On Wednesday this closed for a while in the afternoon due to technical difficulties. It was funny but kinda silly. I spotted a Hidden Mickey on my way out (fire extenquisher). The interactive machines in the lobby were better than the show! We were the only ones who stayed and played with them! You can tape your voice over a character's voice and here it replayed with the video clip. It was really neat _ I did the evil Queen in Snow White. We left here and went and waited for seating to start for Indiana Jones. We had missed this show and wanted to make sure we got.in. It was nice to sit in the shade. This show is very well done.
When the show was finished we wanted to see Hunchback but the timing was off so we went to see Voyage of the Little Mermaid instead. This show was cute! We both enjoyed it.
Now we had seen everything but Hunchback and there were no shows playing for awhile. We decided to head over to the Magic Kingdom.
Walking down Main Street we stopped in the Candy Store had bought a treat and a cold drink.
We stopped and watched the show at Cindrella's castle. It was great with so many characters. Definately a must see!
Next we headed over to see ExtraTERRORtestrial Alien Encounter. You know in the pre-show area when the video comes on and explains the storyline to you. Well Glen almost got in a fight with a group of people when he hushed them. We were trying to listen to the video as this was our first time ever in this ride and they were having this REALLY LOUD conversation about a swap meet back home. They were really rude! I liked this ride but Glen thought it was sucky!
The crowds were definately up from the week before (Sept 11 week).
From here we did Buzz LIghtyear which we both loved. (WHat's up with the scoring?) We sat down and ate our lunches we had brought in on a park bench and than headed to do the Tommorowland Transit Authority. This is a nice relaxing ride with no line ups. We stopped at Indy but the line was too long. We were disappointed that COP was closed as well as HM.
We did Winnie th Pooh again as Glen had missed the picture of Owl and Mr Toad. We wanted to get on the Liberty Bell but had missed it so decided to head over to Tom Sawyer's Island instead. The parade was going on at the time so we had to weave in and out of the crowd to get there. We had seen the parade the week before so decided to skip it.
I think we missed a turn someplace because we realized later we didn't see all of Tom's Island. We split a ice cream float at Aunt Sarah's and headed back off the island. We stopped in to see the Country Bears Jamboree which is as hokey as ever! And did Spash Mt and BIg Thunder MT again. These were probably Glen's favs while mine are Peter Pan and Winnie.
We walked thru Swiss Family Robinson and did the Pirates of the Carribbean again. Swiss Family is out dated and I think needs to go. We were the only ones on it.
We were hungry so decided to head out and back to the ASMu by 5. The House of BLues was were we had decided to go for supper. We had the buy 1 get 1 free coupon from the Oralando Entertainment Book. It wasn't bad but I'm glad we didn't pay full price for it.
After supper we headed down to the World of Disney to do our major souvenir shopping using our Disney CLub card discount. We had not bought much up to that point except our honeymoon ears. We spent about $250 and that's with the 10% discount!! i I bought a sweatshirt and tshirt, Glen a sweatshirt and a cap, both got beach towels, colouring books and candy for our nieces and nephews, mugs for our parents, and a really nice frame for a honeymoon picture. Than we headed over to the art store where we got a really cool needlepoint with Mickey painting Walt on a easel for me to work on. WHew...
We were going to head over to PI for a drink but decided to head back to the AMU. We went for a swim and than had a margarita in the poolside lounge.
