And soon there will be 4

WOW! That's amazing! Poor Mama having to do all that hair! We have a figure skater and a ballerina so far, the 2 year old is too young to have a hobby, but doing buns every week and having all that long hair is getting to me! And they are shoppers too :confused3 - my 4 year old asks me everyday if I will take her shopping - she loves clothes!
I applaud you, because I think it takes a very special person to raise 6 daughters!!!

6 daughters e gad I would die lol our oldest is into cheerleading (yuck) and gymnastics. We are playing at the JLC on Friday night between periods of the knights game our 5 year old is so excited she is a big hockey fan and even loves the HABS like dad and NANA and grandpa LOL.

We didn't start out to have 6 girls. It just worked out that way. We are a blended family but they were so young that they're all mine/ours. The age range when we all became a family was 2 to 11. Those were busy years. Thank goodness for crockpots and dishwashers! We had swimmers, joggers, skiers, gymnasts and a party girl who was almost the end of us. :scared1: In the end, they've all turned out well. One specializes in pediatrics, one graphic artist, one owns her own ad agency, an office manager for a large utility company, another is a carpenter and a cardiac technician. They're all grown now, so we get to do the fun parts all over again with grandkids.

I am the youngest of 6 girls and one boy. It has been an eventful life, let me tell you!

I just returned to work and get asked all the time when #5 is going to happen. Like I'm going to give them an answer!

We don't I mean I should say I don't want to know what it is until the Dr or nurse comes out and tells me what we had.

Huh??? Wouldn't you be IN there with her? The days of fathers in the waiting room smoking cigars went out the window a looooonnnngg time ago.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I was the youngest of 4 girls ... my best friend growing up had 3 brothers, and we both agreed that I had the better end of the deal. :lmao:

PrincessasMommy ... that's a lot of pressure for a boy! ;) When my Mom was having me, she told my DAd that it had better be a girl because she wasn't about to start over with something different at that point! :rotfl2:

Beth ... 6 girls all so close together in age. Man, I'll bet those hormonal hissyfits during PMS time was a bucket of fun for you and your hubby. :scared1:

If you don't find the humour in all of it, you'd probably slash your wrists. Don't worry, I got my revenge. Four of them have kids of their own. Karma can be a good thing.

LOL nope I don't actually stay in the delivery room I go in till the baby starts getting ready to arrive then I head to the waiting room or Timmies and then they come and get me when it is all done and cleaned up. I pass out at the first sign of blood I can't even stand having my blood taken at the Dr's office. The only time I can stand blood is if it is shed during a hockey game.

I used to faint at blood too ... but they wouldn't let me wait in the waiting room when I had my kids. :rotfl: I actually do much better now, and was fine when my kids were born, despite problems that would have had me fainted on the floor in the past. ;)

Have you thought about staying in, and just making sure you stay up at the head of the bed? Or even plop yourself in a chair and see if you can stand it? It's truly a wonderful miracle to experience. I see why you don't want to give them another "patient" to have to take care of, but maybe it's worth a try??? If not, call me that day and I'll join you for the Timmie's - LOL.

Ya we tried teh staying at the top of the bed and sitting in a chair but when I turned gree as the nurse said they told me to leave the room so they didn't have to tend to me also as they said I was of little priority untill things were taken care of elsewhere LOL.

As a nurse that does Labour and Delivery...this is exactly what happens.
If you are fortunate we may throw a pillow under your head. DH was there for both of ours..he stuck close to the head of the bed...however when Dr Natale announced that Braeden was coming Sunny Side up(face towards the sky) and that he was going to turn him with the next contraction..Dave had to check that out!:rotfl: As long as you are there to support her thru the labour end of it and she doesn't seem to mind you slipping out for a Timmies..that's fine besides what help would you be laying on the floor!! Congrats to you and your family...Maybe this one will cheer for the right team...The Leafs!!!:lmao:

LOL ya I was told that I would lay there bleeding if I passed out as there were other pressing matters to attend to first. I stay as long as I can then I head to the door and make the phone calls as for the Leaf comment that was uncalled for LOL J/K no way will any of my kids cheer on the Leafs that is grounds for dismissal from the family LOL...

Sorry F4, I thought the Leafs comment was :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Good one, Kat! And you're right, when it's baby time, the Dad is way down on the priority list. ;) Great that you have a gameplan that works for both of you.

Tell DW that I said "hi" and that I hope she's feeling great.

Ya ya you would like that comment ya Leaf lover LOL j/k you know we love ya Maryliz. So far she is feeling pretty good but I suspect that may change as she starts getting a little bigger and carrying the babyif history hold true this one will be quite big. Our first was 6lb9oz then it went to 7lb10oz and finaly 8lb8oz so I predict this one will be almost 10 lbs.

I can't imagine that little DW of yours droppin' out a 10 pounder. :scared1: I think going back a good 7lb baby is the way to go. I'll keep my fingers crossed for her. :)
