Some of us born and raised NE-ers have transplanted to the Disney area, and would fully expect to be part of the new, secular, civil liberties for all country!
After all, MA is the landing grounds of the Pilgrims who were escaping religious persecution. In fact, the church I belong to, The Congregational church... was the religion brought over on the Mayflower. Many of the Congregational Churches in the Plymouth area were built by the people on the Mayflower.
I always found it "amusing" that for the Pilgrims religious freedom meant freedom to practice their religion, but not somebody else's. By most accounts, they were a pretty intolerant bunch. Fortunately we've moved beyond that.
