And for the first time in FOREVER...Back to WDW October 2014

I love the idea of getting the boys lightsabers right after the Star Tours ride! Plus I forgot to add that I realllllllly want our oldest to do Jedi Training. He will flip out!

And I agree that it will probably be MK on the last day! I think we'll be able to do all of the "kid" stuff in Epcot in a day. My mom and I already decided that we're leaving all the boys alone that evening and heading back to explore World Showcase on our own!

Thats a great idea for Epcot. I know we didnt get to do everything we wanted in a day, but I at least got to walk through all the countries in the World Showcase and do most the rides with the kiddos!

Following along! :)

Great! Please let me know what you think of my plans as I go!

I am so excited for World Showcase! I remember it being my favorite part when I was 9 so I know I'll love it even more!

Do you know how far the drive from Savannah to Disney is? I've thought about that as a stop as well!

Sorry Im just replying to this, the subscribe thing didnt work and didnt send me emails :headache: lame!

Its about 4 1/2 hours from savannah to Pop :) Im excited, I always wanted to go to savannah. We won't get to spend a huge amount of time wandering but we will have a little time so :thumbsup2

That's a good distance too! Are you planning on going to the parks your first day?

Yayyy!!! I got my first Disney mail!

We've gotten the maps/DVD/brochures but this is REAL!

I put the magnet up and looked through the book with the boys! I was hoping to get a flashdrive (that comes with this packet sometimes I think?) but I'm sure that is more for returning guests.

Nope! lol. Just doing DTD and the Disney outlet. We're gonna do dinner at T-rex, since my oldest is a dinosaur nut. Maybe a swim at pop? Otherwise not gonna do too much.

That's our first day plan too! DTD for lunch/shopping and then we're hoping for dinner at Chef Mickey's that night!

And I booked right around Valentine's Day!

Ill be there the same dates, also 7 of us. We are staying at POR. Getting excited to make my ADR. This is my brothers first time going so I doubly excited.

Dining/ADRs

I'll just start this post out by saying that I feel like I have spent a RIDICULOUS amount of time reading menus, reviews, suggestions, and trip reports to figure out our food plans. I never knew eating was such a big part of the Disney experience!

With our October dates, we are really hoping for free dining. But if free dining isn't offered this year or for our dates, we will be purchasing the regular plan anyway. I just really like the idea that everything is paid for already!

If dining is free, we will get the QS plan because we are staying at AOA - a Value resort. We want to upgrade to the regular plan which will cost $525 (4 adults and 1 child, the two youngest will share or we will get them something to supplement!).

To me, this is totally worth the upgrade for the table service meals. We are planning on LOTS of character meals and a dinner show. Dinner at Chef Mickey's would be $200 out of pocket!

So here are my plans for all the yummy food!!

Sunday 10/19
Arrival/DTD

Breakfast - in our Jacksonville hotel (continental)
Lunch - Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express (QS)
Dinner - Chef Mickey's (TS)

Monday 10/20
Hollywood Studios

Breakfast - in room
Lunch - Hollywood & Vine/Disney Junior Character meal (TS)
Dinner - Pizza Planet (QS)

Tuesday 10/21
Magic Kingdom

Breakfast - in room
Lunch - Casey's Corner (QS)
Dinner - Any of the other 3 MK QS I want to try - Pecos Bill's, Tortuga Tavern, and Columbia Harbour House (QS)

*This is the night that I'm "planning" on MNSSHP so we may opt for an early dinner at AOA after a nap too! That will be QS as well.

Wednesday 10/22
Epcot

Breakfast - in room
Lunch - Sunshine Seasons (QS)
Dinner - Biergarten (TS)

Thursday 10/23
Animal Kingdom

Breakfast - Tusker House Donald's Safari Breakfast (TS)
Lunch - Flame Tree BBQ (QS)
Dinner - Mickey's Backyard BBQ or Hoop De Doo (2 TS)

*I know HDDMR gets much better reviews. I just need to decided if the boys (especially my wild middle son) will sit through the 2- hour dinner and show!

Friday 10/24
Magic Kingdom

Breakfast - in room
Lunch - One of my remaining MK QS picks - Pecos Bill's, Tortgua Tavern, or Columbia Harbour House (QS)
Dinner - Crystal Palace (TS)

Saturday 10/25

Magic Kingdom (probably)/Departure

Breakfast - in room
Lunch - the last of my MK QS picks - Pecos Bill's, Tortuga Tavern, or Columbia Harbour House
Dinner - on the road home

For our "in room" breakfasts I'm planning on bringing cereal, garola bars, muffins, squeeze yogurt, cheese sticks, fruit, etc. Since we're driving we can pack it all and even bring a cooler for the cold stuff!

It looks like we will be paying for one meal QS meal OOP. I could drop the Tusker House breakfast or skip the dinner show and we would be at the right number. But I think we can find the most inexpensive QS and just pay OOP so we can experience it all! Or on our last day we can leave the parks for lunch - probably the best option. Especially if we have a big snack mid-morning!

Yay!! I love POR! When we don't fit into a family suite I think we'll be getting 2 rooms there!

We loved the hoop dee doo review. They involve the guest in the show my boys were 7&5 the time we went and they want to do it again. I think I will be doing my planning this weekend while I'm at work. My husband tells everyone he goes to Disney for the food.

Exciting! But I thought that A of A isn't typically included in the free dining promos?

The Little Mermaid rooms usually aren't included. But we are staying in a Nemo family suite which usually are in the free dining offer!

The food seems like a huge part if Disney! I think I'll try the HDDMR. Now I've heard lots of people say their kids loved it. I thought the Mickey's Backyard BBQ would be good for characters but since we're doing 2 meals with classic characters we will get our fix there!

You will love it! Even Maddie who was only 15 months at the time was laughing and very entertained! It does cost 2 dining credits tho, just a heads up. But sooo worth it! We loved our seats on the balcony with small kids bc no one sits in front of you and you have a great view! :thumbsup2

Can i just say something crazy?(get it, cause of your title? :rotfl2: ) seriously, similar ideas about breakfasts in room, totally hitting up peco bills and harbor house. And unless hours dictate something else well be at hs monday too! And well deff be at mk saturday too! Also i agree about the dining plan being nice just cause you know its all paid for, plus we're doing doing a signature meal, and using our snack credits at the food and wine festival for lunch one day so were really saving in the long run, even if its only a little.

Also, off topic but yay i got my mail today! We booked around the same time btw! Lol.

So what did you get for mail from Disney? Now I'm excited to get something! !!! I haven't gotten anything yet
