Has anyone stayed here before? We're not looking for anything overly fancy. Just something comfortable enough to sleep in, as we don't plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel room? Are there any mini fridges or anything in the rooms? Thanks in advance!

It's basic and older.

The room have a small fridge, not mini and microwave. The delux rooms have modern linens the regular room a floral pattern. The grounds are nice and the pool is huge.

It's a 7 minute walk to the park gates and parking is $4.

yes! We stayed there for 3 nights last month. Rooms were decent. We had two queens, a table & chair, nightstand, dresser with tv, mini fridge & microwave in our room.

Would you recommend it and/or stay there again?

We're trying to figure out whether we should stay at this one (which gets decent reviews on tripadvisor), or just pay the extra money. Thanks!

It would be nice if it included breakfast. This is my only complaint I didn't have any problems.

It's the cheapest/closest option. If the price was low I would stay there again.

I have stayed here three times with the latest being last week. It is clean, the rooms are nice sized, the grounds are well kept/quiet, the staff is friendly. All rooms have a nice balcony or "back yard" area. It is only a block from the parks. The pool is huge and heated.

If I am not staying at DL resorts; then this is my first pick. IMO; great value! I paid 89 during the heart of spring break.

This Oct will be our 3rd stay. It is not a "great" hotel but we like it and it's inexpensive and a quick walk.

We stayed there last September form3 nights and we will never stay there again. Yes, it was really cheap (I think we paid $59/night for a standard room?) but the room was dirty. There was a spot of the sheet, the carpet was filthy, there were globs of hair under the bathroom sink. No continental breakfast, which wasn't a huge deal but it would have been nice. I just felt dirty the entire time I was in the room.

However, there were some good things about the hotel. The room was really big, the grounds were quiet, the walk to the parks wasn't bad (you do have to cross two streets, but not a big deal). There is a bar in the lobby and they have pretty good drink specials ($2 margaritas). Parking is cheap (but it's free at the Candy Cane Inn!).

Anyway, other people like it, but I don't recommend it.

We have stayed there a number of times. Its our budget option when HOJO doesn't have retro rates available. As others have said, its older, but its always been clean for us. The rooms are huge compared to everywhere else we have stayed near DL, there are good sized fridges and micros, the pool is nearly olympic size, and it has a hot tub. The only problem we have ever had was during an August stay with record breaking temps...the a/c was in and out, so we had repair men in the room a couple of times. No big deal, could have had the same problem at home, especially in weather like that! We spent a ton of time in the pool that trip.

We would gladly stay again, especially at the $59/nite rate. Also, I know they say they charge for parking, but we never have been. No idea why:confused3

Thank you very much! I appreciate all opinions, good and bad. We looked into the Retro Rates for HOJO but it appears as there are no available dates for when we'll be there. Parking is no big deal to us, as we won't have a car, nor will we be renting one. And the walk is nothing - we stayed more than half a mile away last time. With the majority of the reviews I've read being positive, I think we'll be staying at this one! Thank you all again!
