Anaheim Marriott Discover Disney Rate

I hope someone can help me with this one. The Marriott near the convention center has a Discover Disney Rate. It is about 100.00 more than regular rate. It includes 100.00 Disney gift card per night, free self parking and a shuttle to and from Disneyland for 2 adults and 2 kids.. My question is about the shuttle. The Marriott associate I chatted with said it was a dedicated shuttle aka not ART and we would need to pay for our teenage son. Anyone booked this rate recently?

If the rate is $100 more than the regular rate, it sounds like you're paying for your own gift card. Why not book a lower rate somewhere else and buy your own gift card in the parks? There are so many Marriott properties around DLR these days. Even staying somewhere a bit further away (the Delta in GG is a Marriott property, for example) and using ride share to the parks might save you more than that hundred per day and the cost of a shuttle. And if you wanted to skip the shuttle, could you use the TS buses for free for your whole family?

That is helpful. I guess if we were to rent a car, we could save on parking? I have time to see if the rate goes down. Other bonus, I get Marriott rewards for paying the hotel for my gift cards.
