Anaheim Desert In can't book for August 2017...Sold out or just rooms not released yet? Any Reviews?

Hi Gang,
Have been to WDW 10+ times and need a change. I have reading everything I can my hands on and there is a lot.
I have decided Anaheim Desert Inn, because I have 3 teen girls and we NEED 2 bathrooms or there will be a murder...
Anyhoo, I tried to book but, it says no rooms available May 2017 and on, now I am hoping that they just have not allowed booking yet...but, there is another part of me whispering- it is the busy season and this hotel is so close, so it could be completely booked. I hope my first thought is the correct one, but need to know 100%.

Plus, if you have stayed here can you give a mini-review, I have read the breakfast isn't great and Park Vues is but, the bathroom situation is WAY MORE important to our family.

They haven't released those dates yet. But the earlier you book the better the rate with this hotel for sure so keep looking. My guest is maybe June 1st the May 2017 will be up.

Yeah my June dates weren't up. I ended up picking April instead so that was up. You'll be up in a month or so. Definitely watch it.

As for the hotel itself. We don't need a fancy breakfast. We needed the space more than warm breakfast. They have the usual. Fruit/pastries/cereal. They have trays so we brought them back to the room and it was perfect while others were getting ready. The room is spacious but very plain. Nothing too fancy. Ours has always been very clean (important for me). Don't expect much out of the pool, but they do have one. We use the rooms for crashing only so take this with that in mind. In the evenings there was enough room for some people to crash while others hung out, ate snacks, watched tv. The fridge and microwave are super helpful. This will be our third stay if that says anything.

You might try calling directly, it's possible they will take it over the phone. You can also request where you want your room (though they can't guarantee it, but they will note your request) and ask what the best deal available is, which they don't mention unless you ask.

I agree with Emmers, it's good for crashing, plenty of room, and very clean. We had polite, fast service. When I called to make reservations this last time, they had me in the system from last year and were very welcoming at my wanting to return. Last year I requested top floor, as far forward as possible (closer to the front and therefore the park, plus no little feet running overhead). They upgraded me for free to a parlor suite, top floor, close to the front. It was very nice. Again, if a super nice pool or big, hot breakfast are important to you, this isn't the place-- but those are not important to me. Breakfast was what I usually eat, cereal, yogurt, juice, so that was great. Not big on the pool when the kids are not with us, though theirs is indoor and adequate, if plain.

Online the dates for August 2017 wont be available for booking until towards the end of August 2016. At least thats my experience every year when we book there.

They typically don't release the dates until about a year in advance. And it seems the rates are the cheapest right away and then gradually go up a bit.

We stayed in a parlor suite in 2015 and liked it. Nothing fancy, of course. But we liked all the space. The bed was pretty uncomfortable but we survived. The walk to the park was so short...it was great! Breakfast was basic. We also bought cereal and milk at Target to have in our room.

The first day there, the pipe under our sink was leaky. They came and fixed it quickly so it was no big deal to us. Staff was very friendly.

Parking lot is small but again, we survived.

We will be staying there again in 2017.
