Hi, I was hoping to hear opinions from anyone who has stayed here before....how was it? Would you stay again?
I want a hotel that is close for naps in the afternoon, and that has an outdoor pool.
I was going to book HoJo, but they will be renovating the main pool when we will be down there....
Thanks!

I love Camelot but if a pool is important to you, then this is not the best choice. You'd be better off booking HoJo, their quiet pool (before renovations) was at least twice if not 3 times the size of the pool at Camelot. I'm sure even after the renovations, the pool at HoJo will still be nicer. The one at Camelot is on the 4th floor (hotel has 5 floors, maybe 6?) and is like a small basic rectangular backyard pool.

The rooms, staff and breakfast are great at Camelot and it is always on my short list when planning a trip. Well breakfast maybe not great, but nice to have. But again, since the pool is important, this is not the place for you.

Edited: I found a picture of the pool. Looks like it is bigger than I remember, but still smaller than the 2nd pool at HoJo.

The pool at the Camelot Inn may be on the small side, but IMO it isn't bad at all. The Camelot also has a small hot tub, and they provide plenty of towels at the pool.

Last year I stayed at both the Camelot Inn and the HoJo, and I think they're both good. I would definitely stay at either of them again.

The Camelot Inn has a free continental breakfast that is okay, while the HoJo has no continental breakfast. The Camelot breakfast area has trays (you might have to ask the host), and it's okay to carry breakfast food back to your room.

Walking distance: The walk from the Camelot takes 5 to 7 minutes, and it seems to be a quarter mile, while the walk from the HoJo takes about 10 minutes and it's a half mile.

The Camelot usually costs around $120 to $140 (not including the 15% tax), but you can sometimes get the Entertainment Rate at the HoJo. (The HoJo's entertainment rate would be $59 (with tax: $67) or $74 (with tax: $85). The entertainment rate is not available from mid-June to mid-August, and other busy times of the year.)

FWIW, I wrote a review of the Camelot Inn on TripAdvisor, with the title "I would stay there again!".

HTH :earsboy:

:cool1: LOVED IT!!! Stayed there last year and the year before! Close to the parks, clean, free breaky and my kids loved the pool!!! It is not very deep so was great for my kids as we didn't have to go in with them!!! Would stay again this year but they were alrady booked!!!
