hello, all! I'll have family visiting from Utah and Orlando. Wanted to include a ballpark tour of Angels stadium for my nephew who's a huge fan. Looked at their website and know the logistics.

Wanted to know other people's experience, if they felt it was worth it, etc. The group will drive from the Anaheim Desert Inn & Suites (across from Disneyland's Harbor Blvd entrance).

TIA! :blush::blush::blush:

We toured Angel Stadium 3 or 4 years ago, loved it. It is so cool some of the stuff you wouldn't otherwise see. We got to sit in the broadcaster area, see the opposing player dressing room. Hope I didn't mix that up as we have also toured the Padres and Mariners.
It is definitely worth doing.

It's a nice tour. It's only offered certain days of the week when the team is away. I highly recommend it. It's also one of the very cheap side when it comes to the cost of a ballpark tour. Depending on the day and time you could end up with a private tour. That happened when I did it last May.

Never done the tour but I have read it is so worth it, its on my to-do list... have been to several games and going again on Sunday!

We did the tour a few years ago from memory it's on Tuesday's in the offseason ( that's when we did it) not sure during the season

It was not offered during the off season the past two years. It's currently offered during the season on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays when the Angels are on the road and it's offered at three different times.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! We are planning on doing it on a Tuesday at 12:30. I checked the schedule to make sure they were in the road. Otherwise, would have gotten game tickets. Will get Dodgers tickets in the meantime. Nephew really wants to see a professional game while in town.

For dodger stadium I recommend getting tickets in the lodge section for a good view. They also offer a stadium tour there and theirs is offered almost daily during the season and off season, it's a bit more expensive then the Angels tour.

Anyone there 4-25 through 4-27 should go watch the best team in the world. They'll be in town to continue their ownage of the Angels. :)

Thanks! I looked at their site also about the tours and it's much more expensive than the Angels. Because this trip is going to add up (cousin staying for 2 weeks), we can't spend that much money on the tickets. The section I saw online is 2nd section from the top and either behind home plate or going toward 1st base. Is that the Lodge or Loge section?

We are staying in August at Grand Califonian and we are taking our kids to a Yankees/Anaheim game. How far is the stadium from our resort..how much is transportation? Thanks :)

The loge is the level up from the field. The seats aren't bad in the lower reserve section just if its a day game depending on which side you are on you will be in the sun for most of the game.

we didn't take the tour but we did see an angels/yankees game at the stadium. its not far at all from disneyland and it's just right up the road with no turns.

It's a couple miles east of DL straight down Katella. We always have our own car so I don't know what other transportation costs.
