Enjoying the TR a great deal. :thumbsup2 You sure have been busy, just wondering, do you have plans to relax?
Keep up the great reporting, we all enjoy it.

Finishing up dinner at Coral Reef, then I think we are heading back to the Fort. We will probably do the campfire and movie

If y'all want entertainment. Come to site 1901 and watch the park rangers attempt to dig our trailer and truck out of the sand! What a way to start a vacation

snowmedic, is it cold back home in Vermont?

Yeah it was cold here today too. It got down to 83F LOL and this blue stuff was in the sky. Do you know what it is? :rolleyes1

My crew laid around today, napped this afternoon, that gave me time to roam around.

Getting ready today for supper was interesting. We fired up the charcoal and cooked two nights worth of meat: steaks and chicken breasts.

I went to Trails End to buy separate sides as we learned we could do. Here was the scene inside the TE takeout door.

TE Porch shot - a requirement of a TR.

So here is the scoop on the takeout sides. A large side (serves 4) is $3.99 and I bought 2 large sets of fries to go with this for the 5 of us (way plenty). A small side is $3.40 (serves 2). A large cornbread (2 big pieces) is $2.99 and I bought 3 (way too much) and a small cornbread (1 piece) is $1.29. So here is the receipt for 3 large pairs of cornbreads and 2 large sides:

So we had a steak dinner for about $9 per person at the site (meat $20 for 5 people, sides $20 for 5 people, charcoal and tomato $1 per person). The charcoal also cooked our chicken breasts which are in the pup fridge for another night with another side (I'm leaning toward the mac and cheese ;))

DIS Poster FSU Ed was looping 400, saw my green DIS sign, and stopped to say hi. Brother, that excuse about losing the password will get you off with a warning this time! Chime in as you can.

Ok off we go!

Well DS#1 and I just checked you out in the dark and everything looks okay now.

Wanted to post that we went by and introduced ourselves to Ed after seeing his post this morning. Was so nice to meet someone who I have posted with before. Ed your site looks great and good luck with your plans on a new RV in the future. We will see you again before you leave as we usually make our rounds every other day thru all the loops with the Corgi's so keep an eye out. Again so nice to meet you.....Mike

We are dug out and in spot 1901. Provided entertainment for the entire loop for about two hours. Wonderful park rangers and kudos to the sweet man and wife two slots down who brought me a glass of wine!

Great pics Ed, my daughters and I just toured through the horse pics and the oldest loved them. Asked if we would ever meet ya...we'll have to work something out in the future. My wife became homesick looking at the pic of 420, she asked how the squirrels were doing...;)

You're right, the fishin signs definitely are screaming Frank's name.

Keep it coming, I'm tuning in...

"new RV in the future"

Are you kicking some tires on a new rv? What type? Enlighten the rest of us please

Ed, your Mickey light looks great - I'm envious! Glad y'all are having a good time, and hope the weather continues to be great. We're having a cold 'blast' again, and would love those temps! How is FP+???? :)

Loving the trip report! We will be down for spring break next month, so obviously this is just adding to my excitement!! Less then 3 weeks to go :)

How are the temps? We stayed at the Fort last year about this time, and that awful cold front came through. We ended up in pants and long sleeve shirts the whole time. This year, we are especially looking forward to some warm sun after the crazy winter in PA!

Enjoy the rest of your trip and I look forward to reading more posts!

Lunch at the Rose and Crown Pub.

Thanks for a great trip report. It's ALMOST as good as being there! We are coming back down in October and all our kids/grandkids will be joining us. It's their first time camping at the Fort for the little ones and I can't wait. I will show them the pics on this thread to give them an idea of the area!:cool1:

Great pics of the Fort, DW a 2 DD's are enjoying seeing the Fort again.
Keep them coming, wishing we were there also.

Loving the pic of the liquid lunch. :drinking1 Best kind of lunch there is.:dance3:

Good day at DHS! Lunch at backlot express then made all FP+ ressies plus some. Came back to the Fort and picked up our golf cart and DH took a nap. Now headed back to eat at DHS at sci- fi

You're updates are making the day for a lot of us. Keep it up Ed! Looking forward to going back to the fort!

Libba- glad to see you finally got to have some fun! Hope the rest of your trip is smooth.

BamaEd - LOVING the pictures! I'll be checking back. and I just have to add that is super sweet that you went to check on the dis poster who was stuck, I have to say that is one of the things I love about camping is the friendliness, I swear campers are a different breed of people :)

We got in Saturday afternoon after a 22 hour straight drive. Had a few small problems setting up, but the only thing we did in Illinois was drain the anti-freeze from the water lines. It's still below or near freezing in IL. Anything here is always better. DD and DS and I are having a great time. DW flys in on Friday, then we fly the kids home on Sunday, so we can spend a few more days here by ourselves. If you are looking for something unique for your campsite, come check out the 1300 loop at night. I don't know how it is done yet, but I need one. A guy on the backside of the loop has 2 Mickey head rope lights and the traditional Mickey head post light, but he also has a small laser. There is a small laser about the size of a can of vegetables pointed at the rope lights. The effect looks like a mirror disco ball, just not spinning. There are spots in the trees everywhere. His vehicle looks like it is pokka-dotted. Pretty cool.
Hope everybody is having a good time down here. Let's get some more sunshine. I was suppose to have a new rig by now, but we love our Bayside popup and van, so life is still great. The fifth wheel will get here when it gets here.
