As a very small gesture of our appreciation of the monumental sacrifices and heroic accomplishments you’ve made for us, we’d be honored if you'ld join us for our Illuminations cruise. We have a boat reserved on 12/5/07 for the 9:30 PM show. You’ll need to be able to board at 8:00 PM at the Yacht Club dock.

If you’d like to join us, please let us know how many are in your party (and anything else you’d like to share) by posting a response here, leaving a Personal Message, or e-mailing us.

If this doesn’t apply to you but you know of someone to whom it does, please feel free to pass this information on to them.

We wish we could bring all of our heroes in the military, emergency and safety services, veterans of all wars, etc. We appreciate you all.

(We also posted this on the "ILLUMINATIONS CRUISES-What they are--How to book--FIND ONE TO SHARE" thead awhile back - we stil have room.)

Humbly in your debt,
Tim and Bonnie

Im sure your week will be as lovely as this gesture is, enjoy!
(we will be there in NOV.)

What a lovely gesture. May you have the Happiest of Holidays and a safe and wonderful New Year! :santa:

That put such a warm feeling in my heart. Dh is military and we live in a town where our family gets talked about because of what he does. Thank you so much for caring. I have to make sure to show him this thread. He is leaving in a month for 15 months and he was just saying last night that he feels like it will be in vain cause no one cares anymore. GOD BLESS YOU and your Family.

As a military wife you offer warms my heart!! Thank you so much for appreciating the military families. We would love to take you up on your offer, but unfortunately we won't be there until Jan.

You should maybe post this on the military thread.

Thank you again for your generous offer!!

This is so thoughtful, it brings tears to my eyes! I hope you and your invitees have a wonderful cruise!

:sunny:

What a wonderful gesture of kindness. I wish we could meet you for your cruise, but we will be spending that week at home and with family, as DH will be leaving for Afghanistan for 15 months the following week. Thank you for thinking of families like mine, and especially at the holidays. My family wishes you a great trip and wonderful prosperous New Year.

Your post brought tears to my eyes. It is so sad that we live in a country where most people don't take the time to really find out whats going on in this world. They glance at a headline..... listen to a sound bite on the nightly news......or rely on a celebrity to tell them how our country should be run. I have traveled to quite a few other countries.....hands down....we live in the GREATEST country on this earth. The words....THANK YOU....just can't convey how I feel.... to the men and women who risk their lives.....so we can have the freedom to live as we do. It's a shame that even if someone doesn't agree with the war.....that they can not appreciate the sacrifice your husband and others are making for them. I CARE and I APPRECIATE your husband! THANK YOU and GOD BLESS!

What a thoughtful offer. I have two younger brothers who are in the military, one who returned from Iraq just a couple weeks ago. Thank you for supporting our troops!

For anybody with family members in the military, please check out the Patriot Guard Riders. They do beautiful welcome home escorts and make our men and women feel incredibly loved. They did a beautiful even for my brother last month and it was an experience of a lifetime.

Thank u so much. He came home this morning and I showed him this thread and he smiles and said Your Dis friends are sweet people. He wants to make this a better place for our kids he has always felt strong about this even before we had our boys and when people criticize you for wanting that it makes him feel down. He hates the fact that he has to leave for such a long time but he also feels he is doing his part. And I want to say thank you for restoring his faith.

disneygal2007 -- Not to go O/T, but it's a shame the people in your town don't realize it's because of the sacrifices made by men like your DH (and family!) that they have the freedom to criticize any of the decisions made by our government. Some people just don't get it! :sad2:

They don't at all.

I second all of that.

We’re all booked – my apologies to those we couldn’t take. If you PMed me, I will reply to you tonight (Pacific Time). Please know that we tried to do it as fairly as we could – we did not presume to try to determine who “deserved” it – all the respondents do as far as we’re concerned.

We’d also like to thank everyone who posted such kind words. We are truly touched. In fact, it’s getting difficult to see the screen (somebody must be cutting onions).

We can all agree on who really deserves the kind words – here’s to them! :thumbsup2

I just wanted to start by thanking you for making such a heartfelt offer for a military family. My df is prior service vet he served in 82ndairborne as well as national guard. I also have a cousin who is currently deployed this is his 3rd trip to the middle east. He barely survived his 1st trip and after spending 3 months in a german hospital and 3 months in Kentucky hospital he spent 5 months in rehab and was deployed withint less then a year of his IED injury. It trully brought tears to my eyes to see that others out there care. I want to wish you and yours the most wonderfull Vacation and a Happy Holiday. May all your Disney Dreams come true.
