An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

OMG, that is the cutest picture for DHS! You are good at that!

Let's see...I'm trying to think of anything else to add to your list. Actually, the busts are over in-between Sounds Dangerous and AIE.

Look for Mickey's feet hiding underneath the posters when you go through the James Cagney gangster scene. It's on the left.

I'm going to add more info. about each park for you when I get home this weekend and I have my "Hidden Magic" book with me.

I can't take credit for ANY of those DISigns! They were all done by the VERY talented people on the DISigns Board on the DIS. I WISH I were that talented, but I lack the tools and the time.

OK, busts are located. :lmao: That seriously sounds funny!

I think I have the Hidden Magic Book, but should go through it again. ;)

Isn't there something about a rope near the Indiana Jones show that has a sign on it like "do not pull". I haven't found it yet, so I'm not sure what it does. I think tinkgurl wrote about it in her "just engaged" TR.

YOU'RE RIGHT!!! I forgot about that one. Where is that Tink; it WAS on your TR! I suspect it might be near the IJ Show?? :confused3

AND YES! I will definitely do some karate moves to scare the eggs out of the fried rice over there.

HEY ALL!! W3D2---- DONE!!! And it was easier than the first time!! I think I"m getting it!!:banana::banana: (I haven't used that banana in months!)

I forgot about that one too!

It's right by where you exit the IJ show. There's a sign that says something like "Do not pull the rope".

Thanks, Tink!! I knew you'd remember! I will definitely PULL the rope. If it were in my house, it'd fart. One my my brother-in-laws taught my kids that- I thank him profusely. :sad2:

This definitely sounds like one of the three men in my house! :scared1:

Boys will be boys. But, I have to say, I have 3 girls who can outdo their counterparts- they just don't laugh about it. :rotfl2:

Hi-dee-ho good neighbors!
Sorry I havne't been around much, we had a celebration here at our house Sunday for Mothers Day and my brothers birthday, so I didn't get on much that day and when I have been getting on as of late it's been for information I've needed to write down in my notebook for the parks.
Also I had my back go out late last week (thursday) :headache: and it's made for a interesting weekend. By Saturday I was was walking standing up straight instead of at an angle (Praise the Good Lord above! :worship:).
It's amazing what anger will do to the body....I literally bent at a slight and I do mean slight angle to get the cord off the carpet cleaner to clean up the hot cocoa spilled on the newly cleaned (off white) carpet in the living room by my dd10 who's grounded from t.v., not allowed to eat outside of the kitchen and also grounded from sugar. The spots she spilled gave her away on all accounts as you might of guessed, hence the anger. :furious:
Needless to say I yelled and then proceeded to curse under my breath and bent forward and felt the pull. Much like Mr. Incredible in the Incredibles movie. Oh! My back! :scared:
I felt so bad about the yelling and all, so I ended up called a friend who helped me go through some prayer and confession (she's one of the few I can call and confess my dumbest moves to and not feel like she's judging me, mainly because she's been there) and the next day the back started getting dramatically better. :worship: I had for sure allowed the spirit of anger to take hold.
By Sunday I only felt a slight twinge (normally these things don't go away for me in less than a week sometimes it can take up to a month), but today I felt nothing getting out of bed. :worship: I've done a lot of praising to say the least, I just thought for sure I would be going to WDW with a back out and not much riding of the rides. I should have known better.....when you seek the Kingdom first He's got your back, in my case literally. :lovestruc
He's a good God.....all the time.

By the way.....

One More Week!!! One More Week!!! :yay:

Miss you all. Oh, when did the facebook, e-mail and twitter thing start showing up in the bottom of the pages?

So where are they from?? I'm very curious now!

No big mystery country - just Mexico. ;) The culture is just so much more relaxed than what I am used to and irritates me greatly sometimes. I swear DH is never on time for anything, so I have started telling him appointments are 1/2 hour earlier than they are. ;)

Now, as an extra special bonus, I couldn't wait to show you this. I wanted to devote a whole long series of posts about getting my gussy-up on, but I picked these up from my seamstress yesterday, and they completed my AK get up. See those fancy new pants?? My mom sent in some fabric which I adored and immediately capris came to mind. $10. A brand spanking new pair of capris that fit like a glove for $10. I picked up that cute scarf specifically for my AK day, and look how well it goes!!! I"m so excited!

Cute outfit and GREAT deal on the capris!! :thumbsup2

Whew! I'm caught up. What a birthday fiesta that was, 3 rounds AND fireworks! I'd have slept for days.

Even with getting up 5 times.

Loving the DHS page. Oh wait, I'm biased.

:rotfl:

Seriously stroll, enjoy the streetmosphere, enjoy the shows and look at the details. So much there. So very much.

Wonderful story, Camille! Thanks for reminding us again that we can always trust! :goodvibes

Most countries that aren't in Europe or NORTH America are. It's REALLY hard for Westerners to understand the concept of "EVENT-Oriented" cultures. For them, the event starts when you need to START getting ready for it. Not when you need to BE there. There's a GREAT book on this that we were required to read called Hot and Cold Cultures. It gives really good insight on those VERY big differences.

We do the same thing. If we want someone over here for a meeting, we tell them a half hour earlier too. Works- most of the time.

I LOVE my new carpis. I wore them all day yesterday- they are SOOOOOOOOOOO comfy!! I do need to move the button over a scooch, but that's easy. Now, I just need to have some self-restraint and put them away, so they are still in good shape for the trip.

Honetly, I am still tired. But am getting things done each day. Now, since my party is over, I feel like I can really pack up the house and take stock of our baggage allotment situation.

YES!! I thought you might like that particular page. ;)

I have a lot of time on my solo day to just sit and relax and stroll at DHS. From 2 or 3 until after F! Can't wait!!
