An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

You, the idiom purist, must go here... It's a good explanation...

HERE

I promise I will never use it in its shortened version again. :hippie: Now that I know.]

and yes, that makes 3 posts by yours truly in a row...

Why is it that of all people, I knew you'd come through for me!! :lmao:
Of course it would of been me! :rotfl2:

OK, no LIIT for me. I'm not going to go out and buy 3 more bottles of booze for one or two drinks. But the Collins I CAN and WILL do. I happened to have some good OJ AND club soda is actually MORE popular and cheaper than reg. water here. If you go out to eat, it's hard to find non-gassed water.
I didn't know if you had other bottles laying around.

Hope it was tasty!

So, I'll let you know how my collins goes tonight!! ;)

Send a glow cube!!

 He was weird!
HEY! I'm not weird!!!!!! ;) :rotfl:

May all of you dreams be Frued-free, and safe for your children and loved ones. May they be full of Tangierine-y goodness and may you be let into the lounge of your virtual cruiseships. :cloud9:
LOLOL :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

If I have a cruise dream- I'm blaming you! :rotfl2:
Hope your night was dream free!

Liesa- Your pic looks great... Congrats on week 2!!!!!!!!

And just when you thought this thread could get no more convoluted...

The Collins was great. So great that I'm struggling to type this! And that I guess, is a good sign.

Recipe:

1 oz. (I"m a lightweight) Gin
2 oz. OJ
2 oz. Mineral Water
Twist of lemon
1 tsp. sugar syrup
Ice to bring to the top

It was better than good, and 1000% better than that grody vermouth junk Mike brought home. Blecho!!!

So, with fumbling fingers and a happy heart, I'm off to type the rest of my book inventory. I'll be on and off as I can.

Peace.

, "The proof's in the pudding" or in this case The Flab. If anything, I hope the cottage cheese factor will more resemble cream cheese, and not be so easily prone to "dance" when I hit the road, or Disney World.

Liesa....seriously you have zero flab!!!

Way to go with the program...just the thought of running makes all my joints hurt...I wasn't kind to my knees and ankles when I was young so now they are getting their revenge.

You know that scene in Emperor's New Groove?? The one where Yzma lifts up her skirt to show them the knife and they cringe??

Yeah....

I ate me some PUDDING and it was GOOD!!!:rotfl2:That is also an explaination of the phrase:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

There are many such phrases that the true meaning has been misplaced ;)

Does anyone know or heard of :lmao: the expression "Paying on the NAIL"????
Does anybody care?

Never heard that one, Rosie. I 'll look it up and check it out.

Edited to add: It says it was adapted to "Cash on the nail" in the States in about 1800. That one I have heard.

Checking in, reading along, cracking up.

Flab? Seriously? I've got more flab in one chin my friend.

Apple slicers are nifty. I don't know the origins of ours as it was a gift, but it is nice to have.

Running and breathing have always been mutually exclusive for me so I avoid the former in preference of the latter. Which I suppose lends itself to the existence of multiple chinage

Hope your book inventory goes well. Why am I suddenly hearing the librarian song from The Music Man playing in my head?

Hey Liesa! Hope you've been having a good week , sounds like its been busy. I've got a lot to catch up on around here!

Congrats on finishing week 2 of C25k! I still haven't started it. In fact, I haven't been able to work out at all this week because my asthma's been flaring up. This seems to happen every time I get into a groove with a new workout. A month or two into it, I'll have a flareup that will set me back to page one.:confused3

I'm going to try to get an update done on my ptr later tonight. We'll see if I have any readers left;)

SOOOOO behind and I see you started a GAME while I was gone.

harupmph!

:rotfl:

No flab that I can see either but I know how you feel. I think between the neck injury, then the new job and the vacation I've gained 10 pounds or at least it feels that way. I think I need to diet just so I can gorge myself again in august.

Or not but back to the gym I must go

sorta caught up. Not really.

Haha!! Neither do I, I just hear my daughter who's takingit right now talk about those terms. :confused3 I really want to work in a surgical unit. Bek, my daughter wants to go the ER route. I hope she's up for immense amounts of stress in her life....

I can't remember if we've talked about this before, but my little sister is actually a surgical nurse. She loves it, except for the whole stroking the surgeons' egos part.

Bingo!! Give that girl a prize!!

Yay! For MNSSHP and my prize! ;)

Here is a little Jiko review from last year.

Keep in mind that people were very dressy here. I don't think I'd go here with a toddler again if I had the choice. I'm sure you will have a great experience here. The taste of Africa was really good and Juliana was even eating the different kinds of flat bread.

Thanks for that review, now I'll convince DH to get the scallops next time cause those sound really tasty! We also had the Taste of Africa and really enjoyed it! :thumbsup2 And we did notice that there were no children there when we arrived (left DS with Grandma in the hotel), but soon after a table with 2 small children, younger than 3 were sat across from us. They were not very happy. The whole family was weird. They didn't want to order anything that was on the menu and wanted to change everything to make it "less African". What's the point of going to Jiko if you don't want to try something new? :confused3 Save your money and go to Sizzler or Ponderosa :rolleyes1

I have my outfit picked out- will show you all later- I do hope it's dressy enough.

I know DH & I dressed up, and I can find the printed picture but not the image for some reason. He wore black pants and a button down shirt, and I wore a really cute faux wrap dress. I would say we were dressed similar to most other patrons there, except weirdo family above that was wearing jeans and shorts.

And I agree with the others that your "before" picture looks better than a lot of people's "after" picture. There is no visible flab.

So, speaking of C25K, I have been doing better with food choices and quantity this week and walked the dog two nights. Baby steps, right?

Hope you guys aren't too chatty tonight so I can catch up in the AM!

Just a head's up!!!!!!! If you've followed Mrs.TheKing's stuff before- she's back under her new screen name, Cinderella's Twin. If you like excess amounts of potty talk then she's the one for you. Very funny, if you're in the right (or wrong) mood. Just wanted to let you know she just put up a new PTR right up there.

Going back now to read and repsond + I have a funny story I'm dying to share today. ;)

I love this place!! LIIT, Tom Collins, Freudian dreams, apple slicers, and imaginary flab! It's got everything! :lmao:

I've been tired this week - don't think I can stay up much longer. Hope your book inventory is finished.
