An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

More on the previous later....

Meantime, the guessing deadline has come and gone- it's time to put this game to bed. I'll bet you are all dying to know just how you did on this little piece of fun we've been having! Aren't you? You are, right?!!

Alright, I'll stop messing with you, here is what you've all be waiting for; the REAL answers for the puzzle. As you know, you had to use the clues I gave you to figure out which of these restaurants- Jiko, Biergarten, The Plaza, Tea, Boma, Kona, and Teppan Edo- fit into which meal on each date given. Really, it boiled down to making educated guesses and using deduction. May I just state now, that you all did very, very well! I am proud of you, and can honestly say, that I'd proudly allow you onto my planning team at any time.... OH WAIT, you already are!! :lmao:

So, without further blab, here are the answers for our last 7 ADRs:

8th- Kona Breakfast

9th- Jiko Dinner

10th- Teppan Lunch

10th- Biergarten Dinner

11th- Boma Dinner

12th- Tea for Lunch

12th- The Plaza Dinner

So. I'll bet you're all wondering what the standings are. Let me just say at the get-go, it was a VERY close game. So close in fact, that we have a 3 way tie for 3rd place!!!

It should probably by now, come as no surprise that Cynthia (eandesmom) has won yet again. I swear I'm not shooting her answers in exchange for Karate protection by her son!

By score here they are:

eandesmom 12
yinyangirls 10
Glennbo123 8
Carissanboys 8
Jenbear123 8
that'snice 7
Millie 7
My_Pal_Pluto 7
Great Biscuit 7
Flossbolna 7
Nodnol 6
Pollito 6
MRYPPNS 5
VroomVroom 4
Disney>333 3
Rosie 2

Jordan?? Did you send me a PM?? I can't find it if you did!

Those were the people who guessed this round- others who played round one were: Diamondintheruff, starnightstarsky, IfUHadWings, Tinkgurl, Jenb1023, Oregonmommyof2, SleepingBooty, Winkers, Pooh'sMate, Kimmylaj, Piper'sMom, JenniferKeala, Jordan???

It would be VERY fun for some of you to pop in and tell us what went into your guesses. What clues helped you? Tell us your reasons and your rhyme!! It will help all of us be better planners!

THANKS, EVERYONE for playing along!! Stuff like this really helps to pass the time and is so much fun!! I think we MAY have time for one more game before I leave- but I'm still thinking on it!!

So, if the top 5 scorers could please send me their addresses, I'll make sure you're taken care of. I have henchmen waiting. Not really, I mean, oh never mind...

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

You aren't going to believe this!! We just found out that our visas will expire at the end of July, and that we must leave the country to renew them. DH is telling me that it won't be worth it to do that for only one more month of time that we need for the month of August, so we may just come back to the States then. He's asking me to move up my trip dates, to coordinate with already being back East too. I asked Mary, and she said I probably should do this!!!!

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

WOW!! Does that mean no visit to Nuremberg then??? Of course that is only one tiny detail in all this mess this must create, but it's the part that has a personal connection for me... :rolleyes1

I hope all works out for you!!!

And I am so bummed that I got Epcot restaurants in the wrong order... :sad2::sad2: And I had thought to put them the other way anyway and forgot all about it when I collected it: touring the WS counter clockwise was the clue.... :headache:

you were sneaky and edited that last post of yours after I replied to your thread... a new version of ninjy posting!!

Ok, reasons for my choices were: I remember that someone who posted here was going to join you for the tea, so this was set for the reservation for three, but not including maroo. Kona made sense on your last day at the Poly. And of course you would eat breakfast there to get Tonga Toast or the macadamia nut pancakes. The one where you would eat a lite meal before had to be a buffet, but Biergarten fit better on the Epcot day, so this had to be Boma. Then on the AK day you would be at Jiko (which also fit with ligering over the meal). Of course the Plaze had to go to the MK day and the Epcot restaurants to the Epcot day. And that's where I was so stupid about forgetting the counter-clockwise clue. :headache: Otherwise I would have made third place... Well, it was fun anyway!! :goodvibes

I just would have thought you'd go to Biergarten for lunch because it is cheaper for lunch, while Teppan Edo has the same menu (and prices) for lunch and dinner. :confused3

Your reasoning was perfect. Just about as perfect as my ninja posting technique!! :rotfl2:

But here was our thinking on Bier vs. Teppan...

I can't personally verify this, but maroo tells me that Bier has a MUCH more extensive menu at dinner. So she wanted to hit it up for that meal. Makes sense to me.

Crazy on moving things up a month! Hope it all works out. :thumbsup2

Congrats Cynthia! :cool1:

Liesa - I'm pretty sure Jordan just posted his answers in a reply here in white.

WOW!!! It HAS been a long time!! Everything ok over there??

You know, I've neven seen a bad food review from POP! Honestly!

Sis says Dulles is closest to her house, so I'll stick with that for now. But if JetBlue starts messing with me, I'm out of there. ;)

I've said it before, CANCER SUCKS BIG TIME!!

JOSEPH UPDATE:

Joseph and him mom, J, are being evacuated to Istanbul today at 12:55. I really don't have any updated information about his condition except that he's awake and responsive. As I know more, I'll pass it along!

Everything is fine - work and home have just been super crazy which doesn't leave much time for the DIS and the way I like to follow and post.

Sis is right about Dulles but at least you know you have options in case Jet Blue becomes JetSuckyBlue. :lmao:

Cancer does suck big time especially in kids!

So glad to hear Joseph is responsive and getting evacuated! I would like to see someone tell me I could not be in my child's room at the hospital - it would resemble that restaurant fight minus the drunkeness.

I'm so tired I'm not sure any of this will make sense or be spelled right.
I guess I'm just one of many who feel this way after reading posts....my daughter wants a tramp. and I've told her countless times, FORGET IT!

No Trampolines at my house either! I don't even like the idea of DD getting on one.

According to the AllEars blog I read the Wishes Dessert buffet is on again.

Has any one done this? What do you think and do you think it's worth doing? It seems like a lot of money for four people to eat dessert.

Tnkerbelle565 (Kristine) attended it in October and said that she wouldn't spend the money again. When she was there, people wouldn't stay at the tables and lined the railing to watch Wishes and then no one else could really see. Not sure if that is the case every time or if they rectified it. Let me know what you find out - I am considering it.

Camille - I asked your dates because we are going to spend two days at WDW in May!:woohoo::yay: For those of you that don't know me or my family, DH is a Disney tolerator. We took three vacations in a row to WDW and DD and I went once solo. I then promised DH a non-WDW vacation as our next trip. We planned to do his vacation early this year and then a WDW/Universal vacation in December. Well, the larger house we bought is costing more than we thought to upgrade/repair so there is no budget for two big vacations. DH decided he wants to do a short cruise and suggests tacking a few days at Universal onto it. Great! Then, we decide WDW is out for this year but we have the Give A Day tix. So he says he would be okay with a day or two at WDW at the end of our trip. We always wanted to stay at the Poly but could never afford it for a week so we are staying there this time. We will be at Universal 5/15 - 5/17, on a RCCL Bahamas cruise 5/17 - 5/21, then 5/21 - 5/23 at the Poly (probably doing the MK on 5/21 and resort time, resort hopping and DTD on 5/22).

Sorry for the hijack Liesa!!!!

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

HOLY COW!!!! This trip has been a total roller coaster!!!! :scared1::eek::scared1:

Congrats to Cynthia on winning the game!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Oh my gosh, I hope the whole Visa thing doesn't completely mess up all of your plans.

Congrats to Cynthia! Enjoy your yurt. Or shashlik. Or fermented camel's milk.

Jordan did post his in white. I compared mine to his AFTER I submitted mine. (Believe me....well, how do I put this....let's just say it wouldn't have helped me to cheat off of him.)

A little birdie told me I got all of my answers right in the last round. Here was my thought process:

#1 "Won't use a regular park ticket" meant that it was probably a non-park restaurant (MNSSHP could throw a wrench into it, but I figured since you included it as a clue it was solid that it meant "non-park"). Then, since you were moving out of the Poly on that day, you'd be very efficient and hit Kona for breakfast.

#2 "Day at AK" translated to me as limiting this one to either Boma or Jiko. Question #5 saying "Lite meal earlier" told me that had to be Boma, so this one was Jiko, and you wouldn't go to Jiko for lunch, so Jiko for dinner.

#3 "Spending the day in Epcot" told me this had to be either Teppan Edo or Biergarten. "Touring WS counterclockwise" told me you'd hit Teppan Edo first. You're an efficient tourer, so this one will be Teppan Edo for lunch. The next one will be Biergarten for dinner.

#4 This one was already decided above. Biergarten for dinner.

#5 "Lite meal earlier" means we're going to Boma for dinner baybeee!

#6 "MK, no park-hopping" means somewhere near MK, but not necessarily in the park. "Reservation for 3, but not Mary" means you're meeting someone (I don't remember who), but where else would you go to meet somebody near MK, on a Sunday afternoon? Garden View for lunch.

#7 "Last TS meal, last park-time" translates to me that you want to stay in the park. And the last restaurant I have left is in MK. So, The Plaza for dinner.

Thanks for the update on Joseph.

Millie, I've heard pretty good things about the Wishes Dessert. Can't remember whose report I read it on. There might even be a blog on it on allears...not sure. It might be something we book for Peepfest.:thumbsup2

Jordan I second the Wishes Dessert Party for PeepFest!!!!:banana:

Almost forgot I will have to find a stand in for the NOSE PICKIN" Bushes sneak attack pix !!!:rotfl2:Looking for volunteers !!!:lmao:

Holy visas Batman!!!:scared1:

I think it will all work out.

YES!! that's what it was! I remembered he guessed, but couldn't think of where.... thanks!!!!

Everything is fine - work and home have just been super crazy which doesn't leave much time for the DIS and the way I like to follow and post.

I thought so. Just remember... there are seasons in life.

Sis is right about Dulles but at least you know you have options in case Jet Blue becomes JetSuckyBlue. :lmao:

Options are my best friend!!

Cancer does suck big time especially in kids!

Stories like Mya's break my heart! I know God's heart is broken too at the brokeness of things on Earth.

So glad to hear Joseph is responsive and getting evacuated! I would like to see someone tell me I could not be in my child's room at the hospital - it would resemble that restaurant fight minus the drunkeness.

Update just came in re. Joseph... see below!

It's just not done here. The medical system is about 50 years behind Western systems.

No Trampolines at my house either! I don't even like the idea of DD getting on one.

I'd steer clear of getting one.

Tnkerbelle565 (Kristine) attended it in October and said that she wouldn't spend the money again. Opinions are all over the board on this one. Hope you find out what you're looking for!

You can totally hijack anytime!!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: ON the Poly!!! I'm so stoked for you!! You'll have to post pictures!!

It has at that!

You followed the clues perfectly!! You read everyone exactly as I meant you to, and as that little birdie told you, you can join my Planning Team ANYTIME!!! :thumbsup2

Yes, I remember J kinda missing the boat a bit; I'll go back and look- maybe he's even tied with Rosie for lowest score, and I'll have to send a gift to him too. :confused3

Jordan I second the Wishes Dessert Party for PeepFest!!!!

hmm.... I have an idea for it too. Need to post it on Peepfest site!!

Almost forgot I will have to find a stand in for the NOSE PICKIN" Bushes sneak attack pix !!! Looking for volunteers !!!:lmao:

As long as she doesn't go flying across the restaurant, land face first on me, and spill my drink!!! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

UPDATE on Joseph:

Joseph rested comfortably at the SOS clinic last evening.

Today, J. (Joseph's mom) and Joseph departed on a commercial aircraft with a SOS
doctor accompanying them for Istanbul, Turkey where he will receive
quality care under a pediatric neurologist. Joseph is very weak and
continues to have dizziness an a headache. They have a layover in
(our capitol city) before flying on to Turkey. Please pray for safety and
stamina to make this long journey. Pray for wisdom for the SOS doctor
and that in all he will make it without complications. Tonight he
will check into the hospital in Istanbul.

We have received reports from colleagues from within (our company) and other
organizations that the medical care and facilities are excellent
there. We are trusting Him for answers and wise direction for
Joseph's recovery.

Holy camolie! That's crazy town - moving your trip up to July?! Hope it all works out!

:woohoo: I made it to the top five! I just messed up Jiko and Boma. I knew I would, especially since they're in the same place!!!

Top 5 ain't bad!!!

I hope Joseph is on his way to recovery! I was meaning to comment on the visitor problem in the hospital: it used to be the same here in Germany when I was a kid. When I had the tonsils removed and had to stay in hospital for one week, my mother was only allowed to visit for one hour in the afternoon. :confused3 Luckily, this has changed now and parents are able to stay in hospital with their kids now. So to me these rules just appear to be very old-fashioned...

yes, leave it to me to be completely selfish in the midst of your stressful news.

Same as above with the following addition.

#6. "No Mary" clinched this one, she had no interest in the Tea and there is no way this would be for any other meal which left the Plaza for #7.

I do still think calling it lunch is pushing it though

:rotfl:

Yes, it was the same with moms delivering and dads not being allowed in 30 years ago in the States. Things have come a long way, but change comes so slowly around here!! In ALL areas!

Yes, she still has no interest in getting all prissy with us. Not that a nice pour of cognac is prissy or anything.... :rotfl2::rolleyes1

But you are right. There may have to be some supplemental corn dog nugget action at Casey's later on. or a (nother) Dole Whip float. :rolleyes1

WHAT?!?! How did I get second?!?!? I seriously wasn't gonna guess at all. Maybe the last few months here have sunk in. I feel like I know WDW all ready and have yet to visit...
