An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

My excuse: I was quite in a hurry in the morning, lots of things to do before work because.... I'm leaving for a weekend in Brussels today  ... crazy flavoured beer, chocolates and Belgian fries... here I come!

Have some raspberry beer, that's much nicer than the cherry beer! :goodvibes Oh and fries... :cloud9:

you need the daiquiri WHILE you are in the warm tub.

Feel better! Nothing worse than an outofwhack neck.

If only we had even a little rum in the house. At $45 a bottle, that tends to be a luxury. ;)

I'm so sorry for your neck pain though! or maybe a hug is not the best thing right now??? I definitely recommend the hut tub and then a heating pad with wheat - do you have any of those? I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks, Katharina! I'm starting to think it really is NOT a muscle problem at all, but a disk thing. I took ibuprof., a prescription muscle relaxant, and had massage, and none of those did ANYTHING!! I have zero (literally) mobility putting my head to the left side (ear to shoulder) and cannot look up more than about 4 cm.

I hope time will be my friend on this one.

I don't have a wheat pillow, but if someone could go to the animal feed bazaar they could get it. Meantime I can use a Coke bottle with hot water in it. not the best alternative, but it's something.

When it all comes down to it....it has to be what your gut tells you to do. :goodvibes I'm off to bed, I hope and pray I wake up to hearing your neck is better. That was a gentle hug by the way.

Thanks for the gentle hug!!! And the prayers! I'm afraid you'll have to continue, though. :goodvibes

Dear Katharina, I am really sorry to break the news to you: Flossbolna is my screen name, not yours! :goodvibes

I hope your neck will improve soon! I agree with nodnol on that point though: keep it warm! The heating pad with wheat can easily be made by yourself: just take a small pillow and fill it with wheat or any other type of unground grains, cherry stones are also popular, but those might not be available to you in any large numbers right now. Then warm it up for 10 minutes in the oven at 120°C (about 250°F?). It works much better than a hot water bottle.

NOthing better than a little sisterly rivalry!! You sound like my daughter and I when we "play" on here! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the instructions on the warm pillow. I don't have a microwave, and didn't know you could do it in a real oven.

All knowing big sister, thank you for the hint!

Well, there you have it - it was my secret strategy to confuse you all, so that I end up with lots of points. But it seems I managed only to confuse myself :guilty: ... I thought I had guessed on time... I shouldn't post so early in future, so that I won't forget

I confuse myself all the time. It's an art. Don't worry, still lots of points to be had. I may even double or nothing some of them. Since Alice in Wonderland is out, we should really go "Mad Hatter" and be as crazy as he and the whacky Disney Dining Reservation system.

Yay!! for a trip! I have Belgian roots from what I hear- maybe that's why I love choco!? and fries and lace. Have a super fun time! And tell us all about it when you get back!!

I don't think I'd like either, if they taste like beer. But the fries, mmmmm.....

:woohoo: Got another one right! Wow, I'm surprised.

Sorry to hear about your neck. We can be in pain together  Hope it's not a disc problem. Usually that leads to surgery :scared:

I feel just awful about your neck. Hope it starts feeling better soon. I did that myself in my sleep a few months ago, and it was horrible. I couldn't move my head at all, and had to walk around with my head tilting to the right for at least a week. Heat is the only thing that helped even remotely, but in the end only time really helped.

:cool1:

another point!

not that I'm competitive.

:rotfl2:

a wheat pillow, nice and toasty, can do wonders but I'm really worried it is something else as you mentioned.

This game is too hard! :headache:

Hopefully your luck (after all, that's all it is) will change with the next round! Hang in there!

I know! It's been all day, and no change yet. Hopefully a good night's sleep with do the trick. Surgery sounds awful!!

Me too, Crissy!! Mike thinks it's the way I turn over in bed. maybe so, maybe not. :confused3 I"m about ready to get in another bath, but need to let the hot water tank recharge.

I don't know what your secret is.... I'm sure others would love to know too. ;)

I would have thought that taking a relaxant would have done something if it were a muscle thing- but it didn't, so now, I'm a little more concerned. I think though, there are only 2 MRIs in our country, both a long, long way away.

Whooo..I bite at this one..LOL! S'alright though! I'm glad you were able to get the time you wanted!

I'm sorry your neck is giving you fits, and hoping some time will make it feel better! I hate it when something like that happens for no apparent reason. Double or nothing sounds enticing ;)

I was going to suggest something similar - take a tube sock, fill with rice or even better, dried corn, and heat in the microwave for 2 minutes. I guess there's no reason you couldn't heat it in the oven as well. Then wrap around your neck. This works! It stays hot a long time.:thumbsup2

HI Amanda!!! How are you?? I'll make you a deal. You can bite at this inane game, if you let me bite at keeping up with your thread! :lmao: Which isn't inane at all. I do read the updates though ;)

And that's just it. How can you wake up one morning practically paralyzed??! I don't get it! It must be something I do in my sleep? :confused3

Now rice I can do. Did you know the Aral Sea is practically empty now because of the rice and cotton grown here in the middle of the desert?? Rice is our staple and will fill a sock nicely!!! :thumbsup2 Great suggestion~!

The next round is going to pull a double duty. Since we have these 2 ADRs on the same day.

First off, we are going to Sanaa for a lunch. We asked for a 1:30 ADR but got

What?? It is for 3 people.

Secondly, for dinner we are going to the Cali Grill. We asked for an 8:00 ADR, but got

What?? It is also for 3 people?

Well, at least you're almost 100% in agreement. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I too am thinking that they'll be able to meet your request for Sanaa, so On Time.

Cali Grill will be later.
