Just click the camel in her sig.
Thanks! I thought that was a link to a trip report.

I'm not a big fan of fruit, but it's more like they don't do anything for me...I can take 'em or leave 'em. I'm a bigger fan of vegetables.
My dad used to say that: "we need to get a goat".
Liesa, that pic of the Oregon yard is gorgeous! Are those actually real leaded windows?
Read the updated on your blog - how fascinating - and filthy! The train conditions, I meanI can't wait to hear about the rest of the journey. How often do you put yourself through - I mean, how often do you take this train?
So, I guess no peanut butter and banana sandwiches for you, Liesa? One of my favorites!
Thanks for posting Rebekah's pizza dough recipe. I'm going to try it tonight instead of our normal one. I just use the Better Home's Cookbook recipe. I do have a recipe for a "Boboli" crust. But, I don't think it was all that different from our usual one.
Oh - and I meant to ask about your blog. Could I have the link?![]()

Oh, Liesa...this is for you:![]()
ha, ha. very funny.
let me know if you need any caviar. (it'd be luck you'd like it, and my joke will fall flat here)
I've had it once or twice and don't even remember if I liked it.
Would you be sending it from that "Waffle House of Caviar"?
Well All, It's been fun this evening (morning for you), but it's high time I hit the sack! Church is here at our house tomorrow and I need to be up earlier than I'd like to be to prepare some. But you know I'll be having nightmares of bananas chasing me with spoons, followed by perfectly wonderful dreams of Kentucky Fried Chicken all greasy and lovely.
I love hanging out here in the evenings with ya'll (that southern thing is growing on me!)G'night Liesa!

I can't side with you over the banana thing. I like them. Especially banana bread. Yum!

I know; most everyone I know likes them- except one old friend of mine. One time her friends stuck a banana in her car under the seat as a joke. Even the smell made her gag. After a day of the baby sitting under there in her hot car, well, you get the idea. She got in after work and proceeded to barf all over the car.She was pretty peeved, but her friends were nice and paid for her car to be cleaned out.

Should we blame Maroo for this 'Southern Thing'? LOL
Oh man that is pretty gross.
A few months ago, Mel wet to the grocery store and when she got home we couldn't find the lunch meat. I searched her car 3 times looking for it. She thought maybe they didn't put it in a bag. A few days later there was an awful stench in her car and the lunch meat slid down in-between the seats. I never thought it would be in there. MAN was it disgusting!!!![]()
Mom, you remember when dad told us about when he was 8 or 9, and mistook caviar for blackberry jam?![]()

Yes, you should definitely blame maroo!! Speaking of whom...
HELLLOOOOOO!!!
EWWWW! Was it pastrami?? That would be the grossest!
I"m really glad you are here! 2 trips!?! So fun! LeeAnn has never been either- so I"ll definitely have to follow you along and find out how taking a Newbie goes!![]()

That must of been a rude awakening!!!
It was turkey breast and cheese. The cheese was ok smelling... the turkey was totally nasty! Thank goodness it wasn't summer when this happened.![]()
I get the feeling going with a newbie means seeing Disney through a different lens. It'll definitely be interesting.
Gross!
Also gross! Did he make a PB&J out of it?
Kinda like the time he wiped with poison ivy one time during geology field camp!I swear upon my grave tis true!

It's a gross kinda of thing- rotten food. I think he smeared about a tablespoon of it on a cracker and plopped it in. YOu have to understand, his family is very elegant and well-mannered (ummm... completely opposite from mine, it's a wonder we ever got married), so there was no way it was coming back out- and there's only one other way... DOWN.![]()
Yes, they are! and in the dining area, my FIL made a gigantic stained glass window (also leaded) from different textures of white glass! It's so pretty!
I wish I could post more on it, but since I have to use a network "hider" thing (can one of you techie people explain how this works?) it is soooo slow to use the internet. I don't use it to do my normal surfing, but to get to my blog I have to go that route. I get frustrated with it, and since I know they are now reading it, I have to be more careful. Hence, only weekly updates now. I have sooooooooooo many stories to share, and once I get back I'll use that as a story telling place.
We take that train about once a year. It's a 24 hour ride. ONe time some friends were coming from the north of our country into the big city and a coal train in front of them derailed. They were stuck on that train for an additional 24 hours. They ran out of food and water, and diapers for the baby. It was horrible! They missed their flight to Thailand, too.
