An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Liesa, I just read about it on a news site, too. I hope things will calm down for your colleagues and I hope everything will work fine with your visas as well.

Thanks, Cynthia! Have a wonderful day at work! I'll bet you're getting ready for Day #2!

I want to call my colleagues tonight, but don't want to put them in any more danger in case they are being watched- as I'm sure they are. I'm putting up an update in a little while as to how this will directly affect us in June.

I have two words for your ladies....Title Nine.

Day 3, can you believe it?

Oddly, it's way down on the headline priority on Fox, but THE TOP STORY on BBC. I do too!!! Post on this later...

I have two words for your ladies....Title Nine.

Day 3, can you believe it?

Googling now.

Yeah, oops, I see I wrote day 2, but Wednesday is just finishing here, so that would make it Day 3! This week is already half over for me! :scared1:

Well, in order to make sure our lives are constantly in a state of disarray and never knowing what's coming our way next, circumstances have gone to pot in a neighboring country. So what?? You might ask. How does that affect you??

Let me give you 3 ways it affects us:

1) As per a new law made a couple weeks ago, the government is enforcing the rule that foreigners leave this country in order to renew their visas. Normally, we would go to Kyrgyzstan, but with the unrest and rioting, this is not possible.

A group of teachers from my son's school in the big city left for a visa run this morning, but were turned back at the border. Now they are having to make other arrangements for getting new ones.

That will be VERY expensive for us; AND here's the clincher.... it may be SO expensive that my DH decides it isn't worth it to renew in July only for a one-month extension. :scared1::scared1: Making my April Fools joke cruelly ironic!!

2) We have a lovely holiday planned for June at a resort on Lake Issyk Kul in June, when we would have renewed our visas anyway. Now that is a bit up in the air. Of course, there is 2 months to get things settled down there. But if this coup is successful, the change will likely take a very long time. We will miss out on saying a real good-bye to many very close friends and miss a piece of closure we will really need.

3) We have personnel in 2 of the cities with rioting. We are quite worried, yet, unable to make contact with them. It would be unwise and unsafe for them. They all have children, and one of the cities is very small. We vacationed there 4 years ago, and it is a lovely place.

So, this is what we deal with occassionally; it's that time again....

WARNING: Men Beware!!!! This has TMI- You've been warned!!! YOu can read up to Carissa's post, then stop!

Stopping!

.

.

.

You knew we woulnd't actually stop right? That's like telling the kid in kindergarten not to taste the paste.

On a more serious note I hope the bubes who are rioting don't cause any problems. Please stay abreast of the news and try to keep up with the wires. Don't be a melon head and decide try to stick it out if things become too dangerous. If there are knockers at your door, make sure it is a bosom buddy before you open it. Stock up on rations, especially coconuts as they can be burned for heat if it gets too nippy. I'm sure there are mounds of supporters here and we all give a hoot...er that is we care deeply about your safety. So please strap yourselves down, and fill your cups with the joy of knowing that you are in our prayers.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

This was hilarious...

Liessa...

Hope everything works out!! Nothing like a whole heap of stress huh...

And I really hope you are able to find out that your peeps are alright...

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

That right there, was seriously the funniest thing I have EVER read here!!! EVER!!!!

By the way, I"ve eaten a ton of paste, in Kindergarten, and loved EVERY sticky bite. Actually it wasn't sticky. I'd let it dry into crumblies then eat it.

It was take me far too long to come with something as witty and funny, so I'll just gracefully bow out, but not too low....

omg

crying!

That is SOOOO funny!

But...about that April Fools joke?!?!?!?! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

GREAT for you!!! What are you doing for it??

I just did another "run" (good night, I love calling it that!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:) and came home can completely DESTROYED IT by pouring myself a cup of coke and having sweet and sour chicken for dinner. :rotfl2::rotfl2: I just can't muster the gumption to cook 2 separate meals- fitness plan or not!

Well, at least the run balances out the food. Before you would have eaten the food and not done the run. So that is still an improvement! I am doing my version of WW and hoping to take the dog for a long walk several days a week for now.

Hilarious!!!!! :lmao: :rotfl:

ON a more SERIOUS NOTE:

There has been some serious unrest just south of us- bad enough that we received embassy warnings. Many school teachers who work at my son's school were making a visa run this morning (we now have to leave the country to renew visas) and were turned back at the border. They will plead for an extension tomorrow morning, and then make plans to go somewhere else- possibly Turkey??

Anyway, this has happened before, and we're not too concerned here, but we have many company members there in the cities where there is rioting!! We are praying they are not in danger!
I'm so sorry to hear this! I hope things will settle down so you can leave on schedule!

I hope your friends & colleagues are well & safe.

Good for you!!! Dont beat yourself up over the food, take on one challenge at a time, it's to hard to change all of it at once, most people fail trying to change it all at one time. So there's incentive to change things one at a time. :goodvibes

I want to call my colleagues tonight, but don't want to put them in any more danger in case they are being watched- as I'm sure they are. I'm putting up an update in a little while as to how this will directly affect us in June.

It certainly was chickey-poo! Every time I "run" (There I go again, calling it my run :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:) I think about our little conversation about the Ta-tas, the Ladies, the breadsticks, whatever you want to call them. Just say, I am woefully ill-equipped for the task at hand!!!! I need to call my Mom to come to the rescue and send "some of her support"!!!

"The girls," need all the support they can get you know.

I have two words for your ladies....Title Nine.

Best site for "The girls." :goodvibes The best one you'll find for lack of bounce factor is the 3 Reasons Support, those "girls" aint movin NO WHERE with this bra of substancial support, it's very comfy and moisture wicking for your moments of sweating. Take it from a woman who deals with ummmm, how do I say this and it come out nicely....a woman of "substantial area for support" this baby will do the trick I promise. I would say the only down fall is the unab**b thing, but if you don't care about that as much as you do about comfort and lack of bounce than this is the bra for you girl!

Liessa...

Thanks, so much!! I hope we get word from our leadership by morning!

I should have typed this lastnight....I need prayer for my Dr. appt. to go well. I did something to make to make my leg/knee mad and now I feel I need to see a orthopedic doc about it.
Considering my trip is 41 days away, I'm hoping there isn't anything that is seriously wrong and that I'll be well by vacation.
Also my darn lower back went out on me, (major down fall to having "substantial area to support" I'm so aware of how I need to lose weight :sad2:) it's not as bad as it's been in the past, and I'm pretty use to it, but I would like it to be short lived, so prayer for this would be great too.
A big THANK YOU in advanced.
To ask for prayer is kinda a big deal, this is a major stride in progress for me. :goodvibes I will pray for anyone anytime, but have a hard time asking for it for myself. What's up with that? :confused3

omg

crying!

That is SOOOO funny!

But...about that April Fools joke?!?!?!?! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

The Peeps over here always pull out the funny when it's most needed!!!

yeah, I hope that funny I tried to pull off isn't Someone Upstair's way of pulling a joke!! ;)

Hilarious!!!!! :lmao: :rotfl:

I know!! Actually, we eat pretty healthfully and pretty low fat. It was just a fluke that it was a running day AND we had deep fat fried food. See, if I was really serious about wrecking my fit plan, I'd have washed it all down with wine. But nah. Asian and wine, I just can't do.

I'm so sorry to hear this! I hope things will settle down so you can leave on schedule!

It's a spot that seems to rotate. Take a number, and have a seat. You'll be called shortly.

I wouldn't worry. STalk your best opportunity and seize it like the day. We need all the funny we can get.

Yes, lucky for you, I wasn't drinking anything at the time. So you still hold that place firmly in your grasp. :thumbsup2

"The girls," need all the support they can get you know.
