An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

5) It doesn't matter how many people laugh at you when you jog down the street looking like a bobbing buffalo in a purple sweatshirt. I will live longer.
Maybe. If the running itself doesn't kill me.

:lmao: That comment made me spit out my tea and then yet again at the Georgia comment. :lmao: You are too funny!
Oh my, that is scary at the restaurant. So, I wrote down my guesses somewhere and I can not find them! I think I have it figured out for the most part and this time the clues are typed in my phone.:thumbsup2
Good for you running! I'm trying to get into better shape too. I don't weigh a lot at all but I have a stomach and a chin and a half. Just think about Disney when you run!:goodvibes

Your new flight looks great Liessa !!! We always use SWA as it has a NON stop flight in the morning arriving at MCO usually around 10 am !!!! They have 2 yes 2 free bags !!! They however do not have assigned seats !! So you can opt to pay $10 for early check in and you then get to be an early boarder and can pick your seat !! All other airlines do not have the awesome flight times or the free bags so the $10 for ealy boarding is great !!

Yes, yes? Did you pass out?

Sorry about that postus interuptus!!!! Something came up.... ;)

I agree!:)

If you got there at 7:30 that should give you plenty of time to check in , get through security, and relax for a few minutes before boarding. You don't want to be sitting around for hours... do ya? :thumbsup2

OK, nice compromise..

I'll check in at 7:30. I do have a bar code to scan myself, so check-in shouldn't take too long. The thing I do worry about is security. Not that I'm suspicious or anything- but everyone around me...OY!!

:lmao:

I really DON'T want to sit for an extra hour; the temptation of getting a stale doughnut and a book I don't need will be so overwhelming I might cave.

Oh yes, FDM is a LIFE SKILL.

:rotfl:

I have a bulging disk that flares up every now and then from an old ski injury.

Me too, from a fall on some stairs when I was pregnant with #1.

It IS coming up soon. I turned in all my paperwork yesterday, forgot what a pain it is to fill all that out but I feel official and everything. Plus they can now run the background check. :rotfl: It was so cool though, I just get SUCH a great vibe from everyone there, the office manager/HR person is just a doll and it was just nice to chat with her about nothing at all.

Paperwork stinks, but is a necessary evil. Ick!

Background checks I get. Not fun, but I get it. Too many people have been duped...

HR lady sounds nice! A good working atmos. will make your whole life better! :thumbsup2

I'm doing well on the list, except of course I keep adding to it! Thankfully I still have all of next week. You made me go back and look. Which is a good thing. Here is where I'm at

You have to stop adding to it at some point- at least big things!!!

AKA I need to get my rear end back to the gym (nope, bad neck), get my website up and live (nope, next weeks project), get another website up and live (a freelance job) (meeting with her in 15 minutes!), schedule a darn mammogram (though chances are I can’t get in) (scheduled for monday!), order new RX sunglasses (my new job present to myself but not going to get the other ones…yet)(tried to but turns out the ones I wanted weren't covered under my plan so WAYYY too much $$, may get new regular ones instead. Or not.), purge and reorganize my closet (so I can actually find “work” clothes again)(DONE). And of course sign the kids up for before school care and summer care (DONE)and then negotiate with my dad and sister what help I will need from them over the summer half done...about 1/2 done, my Dad's in Germany for another couple of weeks so won't hit him up quite yet!.

Give your neck time!! The last thing you want is to show up to the office with something that looks like whiplash!

Mammograms suck worse than AirTran!

Good luck on the websites! I wish I was half as tech-savvy as you.

Boo on the sunglasses, yay on getting most everything else done!

Getting a haircut today, mani/pedi next week, facial and massage next week. Also have to create a PTA fundraiser cookbook next week so am pretty positive that no interior painting will be done.

I like that you are doing something for you too!

PTA fundraisers---- meh.
:rotfl:

Did have some set backs so am behind on the site and binder pages (neck issue and a disastrous report card from a certain 10 year old) that have taken up wayyyyyyy too much time./Quote]

I can certainanly see where they would! Binder pages can wait though- getting your neck better is a better use of time, right?

I've never heard anything bad about Jet Blue. I can't believe you were seeing those kinds of changes FIVE months out. I can only imagine how many more you'd see between now and the trip!

AirSuckyTran

:rotfl:

Sounds like a perfect fix!

That's what I was thinking!! 5 months?!! IF they are doing this now, then they certainly aren't done!

Really depends on the airport and airline but they are saying 2 hours most places. I'm still a one hour kind of girl but that assumes I have boarding passes and am walking into the airport at the one hour mark.

Me too. 2 hours has usually been more than enough flying Intern. , but I do understand things have changed (and are changing) all the time. I'm pretty sure I'll be safe with 1. 5 hours.

Good for you... you turned the tables on 'em! How dare that airline try to take away your Disney time!! :snooty:

Kathy

I really didn't feel like I had a choice. I mean if I had been going to a convention or other business=---- I mean they just can change things by practically a WHOLE day and think they can get away with it. And a WHOLE day at Disney is way more important than that! ;)

I'm actually right over the border into New Haven County, but it's really close. The weather was crazy that night.

There was no reason that their flight should have ever taken off. The weather was horrible in the NY area when they took off, and the forecast was only calling for it to get worse.

I was sitting in the cell phone parking area thinking there was no way the flight was ever going to land. The wind was horrible and there was no visibility. My parents said the pilot actually tried, but then had to gun it to take off again. My mom wanted to kiss the ground when they finally landed.

That's CRAZY!! I'm sure they might have lost more than just your parent's as customers that night!

Reminds me of an aborted landing by a Lufthansa flight posted on YouTube I saw. Just google rough landing Lufthansa flight. It's AMAZING! Same thing- big wind.

I think that the airlines have been bumping it up lately. I know Jet Blue was telling me 2 hours before hand, and that's out of a really tiny airport.

Maybe they just don't want to be liable for making you miss your plane. I think the TSA should be held more accountable in this area. ;)

I have so many stories from around here. If they all weren't so shocking, it'd be funnier.

I'll post all the clues at the end, so don't stress out too bad. It'll be interesting to see what everyone comes up with in the end! :thumbsup2

I wish there was a C25K iPod mix using all Disney music... Hmmm... hey, Timbo!! ARe you listening to me??

Well, to be honest, I wanted to go with SWA; I've always heard great things about them, but they didn't have a very good fare. Cheap or free, remember, trumps everything else. ;)

Hey Howdy Ho!!

It's FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY!!! Hot Diggity!

Today, I have a new group of 5 ladies starting another quilting class. This is significant in that it's really my last ministry here before leaving. I have one older lady who's heard some "Good News", but is not so sure. If you could remember that, I'd be grateful. ;) We'll meet for the next 8 or 9 Fridays.

Then, on Monday, we are hosting a Seder Meal here at our house. For all of you who've done one, you know how much work goes into it. A LOT!!!! By the way...

To all my wonderful Hebrew friends out there:

Have a wonderful!!! WONDERFUL Passover!! Next year, in Jerusalem!

So, the weekend (as usual) will not be filled with DISsing. In order to be ahead of the game, pun-ically speaking, I thought I'd give you your next, and last, set of ADR Combat Clues.

Here we go:

This ADR is also for Sunday, Sept. 12th:

1) For 2 people

2) It's our last TS Meal, and our last park time.

3) There will be EMH in MK until 1 AM or so.

Now, hopefully, all these combined will give you enough to fill in the blanks. Remember, those blanks are: Which restaurants, in which slots- B, L, or D.

I will post them all again, but they ARE in the links on pg. 1 if you want to think on it before I can get them all posted once again probably on Tues.

Remember, you have to have your guesses PMd to me by midnight Wednesday the 31st. So, if you need more time use the links- otherwise, it will all be together in one spot on Tuesday for you. ;)

Good Luck!

It just wasn't!! I was more than done with their shenanigans!

:scared1:And that's the worse shenanigans I've heard of in a long, long time!!! :scared1:

Glad you found a good alternative to AirTran! :thumbsup2 Your liberal use of the word shenanigans reminds me of Super Troopers. Have you seen it? Probl'y not. There's a LOT of language in it. But so hysterically funny in so many parts! If you can find it on TV, watch it. ;)

Reminds me of an aborted landing by a Lufthansa flight posted on YouTube I saw. Just google rough landing Lufthansa flight. It's AMAZING! Same thing- big wind.

Everyone thought it was the wind, but it turns out that there was more to this incident: the planes computer reacted in a way that was not documented for the pilots (and this caused the swerving of the plane) and the instructions in the manual of the air plane was unclear on when a landing would be unsafe in strong winds. It turns out that the pilots did a great job in an unforeseeable situation. :goodvibes

I thought Passover didn't start until Wednesday? :confused3

The last two clues are really are. I think I know where you're dining, but which one! GAH!

Hope I can get one right......it may not happen though knowing my luck...;)

I think you're going to fine.

Hmmmm.... I'll have to take a looky- not sure what I'd be getting myself into, but I'll check it out when I get back to the States.

Is this the one you are thinking of too??

JetBlue better treat me better than this!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

If it was a computer error thing, then I'd say the pilots are true heros!! :thumbsup2

The last two clues are really are. I think I know where you're dining, but which one! GAH!

Passover Eve is this Monday, starting as sundown. My calendar says Monday, websites are saying Tuesday, but I think they mean midnight on Monday.

Hmmm..... wish I could help you out, buuuuuuuuuuuuut....:rotfl:

I think I have to rework all of my guesses.

Better get to work! ;)

Believe it or not, I have my answers ready. They're probably all wrong, but I have them ready. I'll wait to pm though.

It must be the same, there was this one incident here in 2008 in Hamburg and it was discussed a lot - especially since the co-pilot who was landing the plane was only 24 years old and people were pretty quick in blaming her. It wasn't a computer error, it was that the wheels briefly touched the ground and the computer switched over into "on ground" mode instead of keeping the plane in the "in air" mode. So the plane was no longer really flyable. And that this would happen in this situation was what the pilots were not expecting because it wasn't documented. So when they aborted the effort of landing, the computer switched back and they could land the plane in the second attempt.

I'm just glad I have several days to put these pieces together!

Sounds like you're going to need them! :rolleyes1

Believe it or not, I have my answers ready. They're probably all wrong, but I have them ready. I'll wait to pm though.

Tomorrow I'll try to make some sense out of everything and put it into one post- if not tomorrow, it'll have to wait until Tuesday (my time).

I meant to add a link--- sorry!!! It was the one in Hamburg~~ Exactly that one- where the wing briefly touches and then it takes off again. PHEW!! There would have been some serious doo- doo on my part!!

Here it is for those who want to see it

Here's how it's going to work. Over the next couple of weeks I will issue a series of hints and clues to our remaining 7 ADRs. Your job is to decide which restaurant fits the clue and whether it will be breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Here's what may help you:

Past info. from Rations Drop (Pt. 1 of this PTR- see link below)

Intra-post banter (I hope you were paying attention!)

Park hours including EMHs

Pay attention to things we may have mentioned that we'd like to do outside of the parks (hint go back to our Resort and Misc. Top 10s)

As you can see, this will involve a good deal more strategy and hunting. Get your inner-park planner on!

You won't be submitting your guesses until the last set of clues has been given. Sometime around the 27th or so depending how I do at posting. Regardless, I'm asking that you PM your final list of guesses on, or before, the 31st of March.

The points you've gotten in phase 1, of course, will count towards your final score.

Now for your choices we have: (remember, your job is to place these on their day and their meal slot. It's not about times anymore- that was far too much a crapshoot!)

Garden View Room at GF
Teppan Edo
The Plaza
Boma
Biergarten
Jiko
Kona

There are 7, thus you will, again, get 7 sets of clues. Put on your best M.I. hat, and get ready...

Here's your first set of clues:

Wednesday, Sept. 8th

1. We're moving from the Poly to POR this day.

2. It is a reservation for 3.

3. We won't be using a regular park ticket this day.

4. Tonight is our MNSSHP.

Here's your second set of clues:
This one is slated for Thursday, Sept. 9th

1) We'll be spending the day at AK (no PHing).

2) In the evening, we are going to Yeehaw Bob's show.

3) We'll want to linger over this meal and enjoy our time, but not too long.

Here's CLUE #3 in our little game of ADR COMBAT:

This ADR is for Fri. Sept. 10th, for 3 people.

1) We'll be spending the day in EPCOT.

2) Mostly likely we'll tour counterclockwise in WS.

3) We'll be watching Illuminations in the evening, then catching PM EMH

Clue #4 in our Game of ADR Combat.
Basically, you will just use, once again, the clues for #3. But I will add that this is ALSO for Friday, Sept. 10th.

Remember:

1) We'll be spending the day at EPCOT.

2) We'll likely be touring the WS counterclockwise.

3) PM EMH will be that night until midnight.

4) Hopefully, we'll be doing a KP Mission today.

5) This ADR is also for 3 people

Clue Set #5:
This is for Saturday, Sept. 11th (3 People):

1) Today is an all-day DHS day.

2) Because of the nature of this meal, we'll be eating a lite meal earlier.

3) After our day at DHS and meal, we may be hitting up Jellyrolls.

Here are the next clues (Set #6) for your thinking on:1)

This is for Sunday, Sept. 12th.

2) It is for 3 people, but not Mary.

3) We are going to MK, and NOT PHing.

Here we go, Last Set of Clues (#7)
This ADR is also for Sunday, Sept. 12th:

1) For 2 people

2) It's our last TS Meal, and our last park time.

3) There will be EMH in MK until 1 AM or so

Now, go ahead fill them in, Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner AND which restaurants for #'s 1-7.

My inbox is cleared out, and ready to receive your best attempts by midnight, March 31st. Good luck!!
