An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

The spring celebration looks like it was fun. I love the costumes, although those poor girls look like they are freezing.

The fight sounds awfully scary. I hate being in bars when fights break out. Too many people feel the need to join in just because.

And happy birthday Maroo!!

They were very chilly! But we did notice a few pairs of jeans underneath all those flouncies. ;) I was wearing a coat and scarf, and you can see Anara's mittens. I can't imagine just standing around waiting to dance for an hour!!

It was both scary and interesting all rolled up into one comical dinner.

Liesa - I think you missed my posts. Either that or you're just ignoring me. If that's the case - carry on! :rotfl:

All right Liesa. I'm too competitive not to give the 2nd phase of this game a go. Now that I'm home and feeling more caught up, I'm trying to put some guesses together. I'm a little confused though. Are we supposed to tell you which restaurant AND whether it was for breakfast, lunch or dinner? :confused3

Okay. I've figured this one out on my own. I didn't think I had seen anything about including which meal in the first post about the new portion of the game, but I just read it again and saw it. So, we give you a list of which restaurant on which day and which meal it's for. Got it.

I'm so sorry, Carissa! I have several posts from a page or 2 ago that I have to respond to still. Today has been a minute on then off again. DH is home for the next couple of days, and it is SOOOOOOOOO hard to post while he's here.

I'd never ignore you :goodvibes, just barely keeping up right. It always takes longer to go back and find older posts and think about them etc... hopefully tomorrow will be a better day at catching up!!

No worries! I just thought maybe you'd missed them because you were replying to others after mine. I answered my own question anyway so I'm good. ;)

WOW! on many levels.

Dinner fight. :scared1:

Welcome spring :yay:

Lovely pictures, it looks like a wonderful day though very chilly!

Tim and the whip...

priceless.

It's hard to eat mutton with teeth missing! :goodvibes

That festival looks amazing - I can't wait to read the blog post!

I know what you mean about fights. I hate violence, but on the other hand - its hard not to rubberneck, and it can be pretty entertaining, as long as no one is seriously hurt.

Yes, it is actually very sad. These people were unwanted during the Soviet Union, very often they tried hard to keep their cultural identity while being surpressed and then they are finally able to come to Germany where they again are often not very welcomed and find that they are again outsiders.

It reminds me very much of the exploitation experienced in North America...

Tim - Awesome pictures! :lmao: I can see my husband raising an eyebrow if someone sent me a whip. But, he'd probably just be excited. :rolleyes1

Liesa - What a crazy dinner experience! :scared1: That spring festival looks so cool! What beautiful colors. :goodvibes

I really hadn't thought of it that way.... but now that you mention it....

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I knew you'd keep going! We're a comptetive bunch here!

Yes, yes, and yes. :thumbsup2

I feel like this this 4 day weekend, I'm all discombobulated with my posting- here and everywhere else too.

Really, didn't want to get behind :goodvibes

I really a weinie in cold weather, but I wasn't cold a bit today. It was so fun that I guess I didn't think about it.

Tim came up with the perfect response to getting

A WHIP! :lmao: Not many could pull that off as well as he did!

It truly is. She did her best though. I think she ended up with more cotton candy and sprite inside though, after all was said and done.

Exactly. That why we get traffic jams for fender benders too.

He's quite a nut, isn't he?

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
HEY!!

(I am though huh?):confused3:rotfl:

Love the pics of you getting your whip Tim. :lmao: That's too funny, especially you whipping yourself first. Now you have something to threatin the guys with who come to the house to date your princess.

"You see this?! Think about how close I would have to be in order to use it, do you really want me that close to you? Good! Then don't get that close to my daughter!" :rotfl2: I can see it now!
And Tim, I was actually good that night when I said I would be getting off in about 10 mins......usually it's another hour, but that night I was off in less than 10 mins. so hmmph! :snooty: :goodvibes

DATING???? DATING!!??!!!!!!

I better not have to think about that for another 20 years... ok at least 10! :lmao:

SUUUURRREEEE you were off in 10 minutes. I've heard that b4!!!!! :lmao: (j/k)

hey, were there stamps on the package?? Saw the seal, but not stamps. :confused3
I didn't want to post the stamps.. I have pics of them.. I can post if it is ok.

Tim - Awesome pictures! :lmao: I can see my husband raising an eyebrow if someone sent me a whip. But, he'd probably just be excited. :rolleyes1

I think if it had gone on any more DH would have felt compelled to "do something". :scared1: Seriously, it's hard to sit back and watch someone getting the snot kicked out of them and feel so helpless.

Ouch. That dinner fight sounds scary :scared1: Glad that you and your family didn't get involved.

The festival looks awesome! It's nice to see Blankistan in a different way... if you know what I mean. The mutton looks mmmmm, mmmm, good.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAROO! :cake:

Me too!! That would be a little awkward to explain to our supporters! :rolleyes1

It truly was one of the most fun holidays we've had here! And yes, I think I do know what you mean. ;) Sometimes this area of the world gets a bad rap- some of it for good reason, but mostly not.

THAT is one of the best updates I have ever seen!

You should really, really consider writing a book! If you could put pics in there and tell the stories we have read here....

Awesome update!

Spring arrived with a bang in Mississippi, too. It snowed - for hours. It didn't stick, but it was one of the strangest beginnings of spring I have ever seen. :)

Wow, crazy fighting in a restaurant. It always starts with a drunk, doesn't it.

The festival looks really fun, though, and the costumes are beautiful! How amazing to experience another culture like that!

And Happy B-Day Maroo!

Strange stuff happens at restaurants...I could tell you stories...I've called the police for sure before...

The advent of spring...such happiness on the faces of the people where you're at. I'm sure it helps that it's not quite as cold...or is it still cold.

Quite the dinner theatre you experienced. I think I'll pass on that show myself. But the spring festival looks much more palatable. I'm always up for watching dancers.

Thanks maroo!! I can only say I've really enjoyed using it (my blog and here)to get my memories down "on paper", and hope that when I'm 85, and my grandkids ask me to tell them these stories, I'll have something to jog my failing memory.

I just saw somewhere... maybe it was blogspot that you could, for like $14.95 or soemthing, have them bind your stories in a hardbound book. That sounds really, really cool!! I might look into that!

I can't believe it snowed AGAIN in MS!!! Uncanny!

Yep, most of the time, it does. But sometimes not. We've seen plenty of donkey like behavior with people who just plain old have anger issues. Especialy women sellers in the bazaar. One might get all hot under the collar about another one taking business or whatever. It's just amazing what people make themselves look like. :sad2:

I can only imagine- at Sweet Tomatoes someone getting rowdy over not enough brocolli in their soup, or the croutons not being crunchy enough. HA! J/K. I really can picture some outrageous behavior over all kinds of silly things.

That's EXACTLY what we said to each other as it was unfolding! "Dinner theater"! How funny that you used those words too. :lmao: I saw the pix you posted yesterday of your kiddos; I'll bet it was so pretty to watch in real life!

No, I was just wondering if there were any. And it may not be ok with mom...:confused3 go ahead if you get an ok and you'd like to though!

I didn't actually mail it, so I don't know if there were or not. It would be pretty obvious where I am living it you did, but then again, I think by now, it already is. :rotfl2::lmao:;)

Part II of "How Bad Do You REALLY Want to Fly??!!" is up on the blog.

Time for another set of clues for you to chew on.

This is for Saturday, Sept. 11th (3 People):

1) Today is an all-day DHS day.

2) Because of the nature of this meal, we'll be eating a lite meal earlier.

3) After our day at DHS and meal, we may be hitting up Jellyrolls.
After this, only 2 more sets to go. Hopefully, things are falling into place for your guesses. Good luck!
