Yeah, none of those is really what I'm looking for. But I'm going to have browsing and seeing what's available. ;)

I was SOOOO not flaming you!

Glennbo on the other hand...

:rotfl2:

:lmao: I know you weren't. I am still laughing!

And just for his comment, if I ever end up next to him on a plane, I'll make sure to whip out a Q-tip just for him. Are you listening to me, Glennbo???!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

HA!! A shower doesn't take that long- but I've been known to hang out for hours in a hot tub.

:
I love to read in a nice hot bath.....I've been known to fall asleep and wake up to cold water and a wet book.

you'll also need to eat something gas inducing.....

Me too!! bubbles, books and a nice soft towel at the end. Mmm, hmmm!!

So, that's just about anything. But kraut outta work just fine. ;)

One of our favorite souvieners are chop sticks from Japan. My kids love to use them and it usually sparks memories from our trip.
Great idea! I love to eat with chopsticks, but only asian foods, could you imagine me trying to get soup in my mouth with those darn things?!?! :headache: :confused3

I've heard that too, it was the hot topic a couple of years ago at Gourmet Club with a very heated debate about what was the "best" aluminum free deodorant out there (I think it was between Jason's and Tom's of Maine?).

Personal opinion is the aluminum free ones don't work worth squat so why bother at that point.

I bother. Everything causes cancer anyway so I pick my battles and stands. That's not one of them!

I would not have made it through yesterday without it to be sure.

Or WDW in August!:scared1:
I'm right there with you. I've decided to hand it up to God and ask Him to cover me since everything is suppose to give you cancer. Although most of it I don't believe any more, it's just scare tatics by the news media to come and listen to them, scare tactics by somene else too, but we won't go into that. Bananas?! Hotdogs?! Charred meat?! Now the last one really made me mad, I mean seriously how is a girl in Texas suppose to eat if they put B.B.Q on the list!? ;)
I actually use the clinical strength to avoid the stinkies in the summer, it works well. The only weird thing about it....you have to put it on in the evening before bed for it to work well for the next day. Even if you shower in the morning, so the directions say. :confused3 It's expensive, but sometimes it's the only thing keeping me from getting kicked out of places in the summer. :rotfl:

I am back... And I am done!! :yay:

I didn't even get lost once, and only had to take 1 potty break...

I didn't read all the chit chat..

I love the no farting in the bedroom rule... I tried to impose that here after we had been married for 6 months, Terry said that I couldn't change the terms of the contract and I should have thought about that...

:rotfl2: I love this! My DH and I are always saying things like this. DH-"Oh yeah?!? Well it wasn't in the contract!" Me-"Check the fine print buddy!"
Just tell him it's in the fine print, he won't be able to argue that. :rotfl:

I love this post...

Only one potty break! :rotfl:

Change the contract! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

:welcome:

Mary! :goodvibes Glad to see you!

:lmao:

How in the world do you have time to shower a couple times a day? I would think homeschooling your kids would keep you pretty busy.;)

According to my brother in law, who is an ongologist, there is no evidence of cancer caused by deodorant. Which is good, because my teenage son is the grossest smelling thing on earth after a game of basketball.:laughing: I have made him well aquainted with the pit stick.

Of course you, being a woman, doesn't realy need it because you naturally smell like roses, cinnamon rolls and a fresh summer breeze all rolled into one.

Fresh summer breeze...I remember that stupid commercial. :rotfl: Winkers your a hoot! Since I don't poof....never have, I always smell like a fresh, summer breeze.
I have no doubt your BIL is right, scare tactics I tell ya! Scare tactics. :sad2:

YOU READ THE WHOLE THING ALREADY??!! :scared1: :worship::worship::worship: WOW!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: That's the smilie all newcomers get. I wish they'd put the real welcome one on the main page! :lmao:

Yeah, the chit- chat is more about farting, and I can't even remember what else. :confused3 Why does is matter? OH yeah, vegetables. Maroo, you're still going to have to put up with veggie jokes... It's part of the contract. :rotfl2:

If the chit chat is about farting, I am going to have to go back and read all of that too...

My dog had really bad gas today! She is a 90 pound lab, and she is the only dog I have ever seen that farts like a human... It sounds like she is totally ripping them, then she is scared of them and tries to run away from her own butt... :lmao: It makes me almost pee my pants every time... Oh and the smell... :crazy2:

NEVER?!! :worship: LOL!! I regularly give out "fresh summer breezes"!! :rotfl2:

My in-laws dog does that too! It's a whole evening's worth of entertainment right there! Duffy is a small Scotty, so I imagine the sound is rather less impressive. :lmao: Smell will singe your nosehairs, though. Size matters not in that area.

Oh that is good... I am going to use this... Now, to just wait for the perfect moment... :rolleyes1

Let us know how that works out. Mine would tell me HE wrote the fine print, and would assure me it's not there.

I love to read in a nice hot bath.....I've been known to fall asleep and wake up to cold water and a wet book.

I used to do that. Now it's too much work to clean the tub so easier to never take a bath. Pathetic isn't it? The blessing and curse of the "big" tub. Not to mention I feel much cleaner taking a shower, bath water kind of grosses me out.

Clinical strength? Who knew????

Too much of ANYTHING is bad for you. That seems a pretty simple rule to follow if you ask me. Beyond that....whatever!

We always say "it's in (or not in) the JD"

Job Description.

Which are the most deliberately vague subject to interpretation things known to man. In fact, I'd like the pay for the hourly wages spent creating just one JD for the big companies. HOURS spent creating duties, responsibilities and required skills and qualifications that often have little bearing on the actual job with multiple revisions and group think.

ok,

I digress.

:rotfl:

Hi Liesa, I bought something in Canada: soap - seems to be the trend... I bought the moose spit soap as a present for my in-laws, they are outdoor type people, so I thought it would fit. I haven't given it to them yet, so I can't report more than that it smells nice :goodvibes
the price was 6.95

So........... you don't use it??? :scared1: That should be a crime!!

Hi Katharina! Still noodling the options for our layover in Germany. Really, I'm not ignoring you- just need more time to figure out if we can swing it.

I hadn't thought of doing some early Christmas shopping! And $6.95 for all 4 of my BIL's sounds good. They'd all love it. :lmao: Do guys really care if it smells good?? Seriously? Do they??

No problem!!! I completely understand. But maybe you could remind me, what date it would be (approximately), I'm sure you mentioned it already somewhere in your PTR...

At least it will be good for a laugh when they open the present :)

I'll take your brother IL's word for it, but why use it, if you just don't need it. My kids are my radar; if they tell me I stink, I'm perfectly happy to go rinse off and use my lavendar soap. ;)

I totally agree! Deodorant is a great invention, but there really is no need to use it just to conform with certain habits. If you don't need it, why use it? And if you have someone who will honestly tell you when you need to use it, you also know wether you need it or not. Besides the cancer issue (wether this is real or not), it is also better for the evironment if we use less chemicals! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately I can only dream about not using it... :rolleyes1

Wanted to say the same: take your time, you really need to find something that works for you! And I had planned to ask the same question as Katharina about dates: sometime in August? :goodvibes

Shhhh, that's what I'm sticking with. I belch with the best, but the jury is out if I poof. I'm a fresh summer breeze all the time....thanks to clinical strength deoderant.

It's the truth too! Cats are known to go here, just sayin. :rolleyes1

:laughing:This is something my DH would like to convince me of, it doesn't work around here.

We just make the youngest take baths in there and tell her to clean the sides before she gets out. :rotfl: :rolleyes1 Also if you clean it and then use the shower spray for the glass showers so you don't have the water build up, it works really well. Also car wax is a great way to keep things from sticking to the sides, and no I'm not pulling your leg. Once it's clean wipe down the tub or shower with a good car wax just like you would the car, and then wipe away! I think we heard about doing this with the Amway car wax, works like a charm!

Clinical strength? Who knew????
I had a problem with my body being able to side step regular deoderant and having to switch them out with another brand or using them a couple of times a day and then someone mentioned on the boards about it and I thought that's my only choice at this point. Tried it and have never looked back! :thumbsup2

Too much of ANYTHING is bad for you. That seems a pretty simple rule to follow if you ask me. Beyond that....whatever!
True that!

:rotfl:

:rotfl2: Cynthia, your talents and gifts couldn't leave you even if you wanted them too. I love it when someone stays true to who they are and how they are wired. :thumbsup2

No problem!!! I completely understand. But maybe you could remind me, what date it would be (approximately), I'm sure you mentioned it already somewhere in your PTR...

If it becomes reality, it would be August 17-19th.

Exactly.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'll still sit with you on a plane- as long as you're living in reality WITH your deodorant, then. :lmao::rotfl2:

Wanted to say the same: take your time, you really need to find something that works for you! And I had planned to ask the same question as Katharina about dates: sometime in August? :goodvibes

I imagine it will be another week or so before we really know. DH wants to call DHL to check their shipping rates. At $150 per box times 5 or 6 boxes, that adds up!!
