OK. This is a very popular design and I've been wrongly credited with it's creation. I only copy other people's work; no vision here. I traced back the original creator...in 2004 or 2005 to okwoodsmith. I don't believe he posts anymore.

Anyway, many people want to be able to play around with it in photoshop.

So, I have created 2 masters that you can have fun with!!

1. Open in Photoshop
2. Create layers for each letter [easy to edit later]; name them D, I, etc.
3. Open the picture you want to add [separate file]; cut and paste into the layer it will go in. Freetransform scale the picture down to right size; freetransform rotate picture to right angle; erase what needs to be erased; you may also need to send back or forward. Do this for each picture.
4. Font I use for the wording [not on these files] is waltograph. You can google it if you don't have it and get it free. I fill the dropper with the dark blue color before I create the text. Make 2 new layers 1 for below and 1 for above [easy to edit later]. Type your text and freeform scale and rotate as needed.
5. you can change the castle to whatever graphic you want; just click on that layer. follow step 3.

Hope that helps....
here's examples of finished ones...

I made one without Walt and World by request.

You can only open them if you have photoshop or something that supports photoshop.

Thanks.

Wow. Thanks - that is great. I have actually tried to create something similar to this design for my own use and wasn't sucessful so I appreciate it.

I have PSE and it works!:goodvibes

Trish,
Thank you very much! Exactly what I wanted! You are wonderful!

hopefully this isn't to dumb of a question but I have been trying to do this per your instructions and I am having a terrible time. How do you erase the inside of the letters so that you can input your picture? I have been using the eraser tool and it is very hard to get nice clean side lines. Thanks in advance for any help.

You make a new layer and you will move backward behind the letter....there's a command [not on the computer with photoshop] that lets you arrange the order of the layers....hope that helps. Then you can move the picture back and forth behind the letters til you like what you see.

good luck. it's lots of trial and error.
