An APRIL Adventure in Autism: 2008 (8/8) Time to Say Good-Bye....

That party looks like so much fun! I hope you have as much fun- and catch the parade- at the Halloween party this year!

Thanks Shannon! I'll be sure to do that! In fact, I believe that the Pirate floats they use in the Halloween parade are the same ones that had been used at the P&PP... so I will get a chance to see them after all! :thumbsup2

GREAT update!!!! Thank you so much! I've never been to the PPP but would love to. Your report is putting me RIGHT there!! Awesome!

Great Updates!

So sorry you missed the parade. You were so close. . .

I would have gone looking for Tricia too. I get worried quickly. I don't let Abby go to the restroom by herself unless I can see all the way there. Although yesterday we were at Panera Bread getting lunch and I stepped up to the counter when our order was ready. I wasn't gone more than a minute. When I came back to our table a little girl was asking Abby if she was there by herself!:confused3
The atmosphere at the party looks like so much fun! I hope the MNSSHP will be like that. The fun decorations will make the price of the tickets worth it(I hope) and the candy too.

Can't wait to read more.

Wow!!! What a full night you guys had!!

Just riding those huge attractions would make it worth it to me! :woohoo:

I love the picture of Space Mountain - in the blue tube! I hope they don't change that...it is my favorite part of the ride! :goodvibes

I am sorry you lost Tricia! I bet that was quite a fright!

And what a cap to the night...Billy and Ed walking on the red carpet together. How sweet!! :cloud9:

Thanks for reading! So glad you're enjoying it! :)

I suppose every minute she was gone felt more like an hour to me! I didn't realize that there was a whole line of CMs handing out "treasure" ... I just expected her to get on one quick line, get her stuff, and come right back!

I'm expecting the MNSSHP to be even better!! :hmghost:

I'm so glad we had the opportunity to enjoy Space Mountain like that... we'll be missing it this year when it's closed for refurb. :sad1: Billy will not be happy about that! Oh well, there's always the thrill of the Hall of Presidents...

Sounds like a great idea! I wonder how one would go about co-ordinating something like that? I'd love to have more time to look around in there!

Kathy

We can add Lauren and Rachel to the mix and have ourselves a powerchair party! Then everyone can enjoy LOTS of time to look around the HM! :rotfl:

I am now coaching a power soccer team (power wheelchair soccer) and we are looking into going to FL to play against the Tampa team at some point...and it would be SO MUCH FUN to stop in Disney for a few days (it is such a long trip to Tampa). That would be 8 or 9 powerchairs in one place. We would have to split up...it would take us FOREVER to ride all of those rides! But that would be a great time to ride HM...or any other ride that you really want to get a closer look. (But we don't ride Spaceship Earth...have you seen those stairs!?!)

OOh, that party looks like so much fun!

After the incredible fireworks, I decided to give the others free reign and told them we would do whatever they wanted. (I want you to realize that this in and of itself was highly unusual... normally I have a “set” itinerary of which rides to do first, then second, etc.)

I think when the park is open late and the crowds are low...it can be a great pick and choose opportunity! good for you guys, sounded like a wonderful success! :thumbsup2

Trust me, it is way cool to do this in the dark!!

I so agree!

We crossed over to the Hub and I couldn’t resist a couple of Castle shots because it looked so pretty bathed in colored lights!

This is a great shot and w/ Mickey and Walt to boot!

Great snack machine shot...I don't know if I've ever seen this :confused3

Mike Wazowski may be the MC, but Roz always seems to steal the show!!

:rotfl: I agree....I just used Roz as a funny reference to my stepping down as Nursery Superintendent at Church, yesterday was my last official day "on the job" and I joked "I'll be watching you!" I thought of Roz:laughing:

Leaving the Magic Kingdom did feel a bit like something out of a dream. A royal red carpet had been laid across the walkway under the Railroad trestle and hidden machines churned out a continuous supply of mysterious fog. Twinkling lights adorned shaped topiaries that had been placed along the carpet for the occasion and majestic red and purple bunting had been draped across the passageways. It was wonderful how the park could be so quickly decorated with all of these special touches to add even more to the festivity of the evening!

Oh it sounded oh so dreamy....

I'm so sad we missed our opportunity to share in this special magic last yr, we missed the Party by one day, the last scheduled party in June of 08 was the 4th and we arrived on the 5th...we had actually conteplated chaning out flight and ressie to go, but didn't, oh well....at least I can share in your fun and magic!

Thanks:goodvibes

:rotfl2: Look at you, plotting yet another way to get to WDW!!!

Very cool about the special soccer team. :thumbsup2 I'll bet they kick butt!

It really was, Hedy! That's one of the reasons I'm looking forward so much to MNSSHP!!

Aww, Srappie! Sorry you couldn't fit it in somehow! I'm hoping they'll bring them back eventually when the economy improves.

The reason I'm so psyched about going to MNSSHP this year is that usually Jersey week falls smack dab in between the Halloween parties and the Christmas parties, so we miss both! This year, the calendar just happens to work in our favor!! :woohoo:

Oh... the silly snack machine is located in the queue area for the Laugh Floor!

Although I'd be totally bummed about missing the parade, kudos to you for not letting it put a damper on the rest of the night. You guys sure had an action packed night! I can't wait til the kids are older and our nights at Disney can be like that!

Ok, Made it back

Now to go see where I left off.....

I had like four updates to get through...I'm exhausted

Nice updates Kathy

I can't believe you didn't tear off your vest and dive in after the hat...:confused3....:goodvibes

Sorry you missed the Pardae but glad you saw the fireworks at least. They are supposed to be the best of all of them. Too bad they don't have P&PP anymore :guilty:. Looks like a fun uncrowded night at MK. Great pics too. your going to love MNSSHP.

It does get easier to do the parks as the kids get older. But please don't be so quick to wish those little boy days away.... once they are gone you can never get them back! :earboy2:

What a sweet update :)

And wow, you guys did a lot at the PPP! :yay:

Thanks... it was so much fun to just zip around at the end of the night going on any ride we wanted!! :goodvibes
