An Anniversary Trip Full of Favorites-May 2012 PTR!*TR Link 5/14 & Question 5/15 p32*

The last several SW flights I've been on sold out... and Ben and I always get the WORST boarding position, so we usually can't sit together. But that's ok cause I sleep and he likes to make friends with the other people around him

I hope we both have good boarding luck!

I think you should keep your Le Cellier lunch ADR- I know how much you both enjoy eating there, and the earlier time being available seems to good to pass up!

Yay 12 days!

Are you able to push Cape May back? I like having 2 sit down ADRs but they would need to be a bit further apart, especially with two places that you want to eat lots of food!

I would just ask the front desk people about the anniversary button. They always seem really happy to give out buttons and chat. Maybe they stopped asking for hotel reservations due to a lot of complaining about ruining surprises? I know that I've read about that happening with engagement celebrations. I've had ADR call center people ask and not the hotel reservations people (and I've called in fairly recently) too, but I can't figure out why it would be that way.

With Test Track down, I think you'll be able to do everything in Epcot easily. And Magic Kindom! They're mostly omnimovers and they load up pretty fast.

Congrats on 12 more days. Just keep both ADRs - cancel stuff later in the week if you start to feel the "too much food" feeling that sometimes happens in Disney.

Very cool pictures. I'll have to check out that site!

I feel like yall could keep both ADRs for your arrival day since they're both favorites of yours. Might as well start off the vacation with a bang right?

Yall can totally get that stuff done! WOOOOOOO 12 days!!! So exciting! :rockband: (That's the band that will serenade yall when you get to the Beach Club. That's right. I've hired a band for you... you're welcome. No, I just really wanted to use that smiley. It cracks me up!)

You can definitely do all of those (and more) on your trip. We did all of those in two days back in October. OK, I guess it was more like 2 1/2 but the point is it's definitely doable!

I don't think you should feel weird about asking for an anniversary button. Isn't that what they're there for? :) I'm sure they'd be happy to give them to you.

AHHH 11 days!!!!!! I am so excited for you!!!!!

I think you can definitely do those must-dos! Maybe some a few times ;)

Maybe after traveling all morning you will be hungry enough for both ADRS.. Atleast one is a buffet!

Disney ALWAYS asked me what I was celebrating when I'm planning trips (especially the ones when we weren't celebrating anything at all! :rotfl:) I'd just bring it up. It's not weird!

I'd do both ADR's. Really, if it's something Brandon wants to do so badly, well, eating two great meals isn't THAT much of a problem! Maybe just pick slightly lighter items at LC to save some room for later?

Love your favorites! Particularly lifting your feet up on Soarin'. I always do that!

Hooray for 12 days!! :cool1:
When I called to make a new reservation I was asked what I was celebrating, no other times though. :confused3 Worst case scenario you can always ask for them when you check in (in fact they might even ask you if you're celebrating when you check in if there's nothing already noted on your reservation). Also you could always get them at a Guest Services in your first park. :goodvibes
6 hours sounds like enough time between two big ADRs as far as eating goes, but I get what you mean, being short on time and two restaurants takes up a lot of it. Personally, I love sitting down and enjoying the atmosphere inside the restaurants, so I would do both. Especially if Brandon wants to so badly! :thumbsup2
Love the favourites list! I say definitely do-able.

Just a thought... since you were able to move your Le Cellier reservation up a little maybe you can move Cape May back a little too. You still have 12 days to keep checking. I hope you can work it out.

I was way behind on your report- I was sorry to read about your stress, but glad to hear you have worked past it. As others have said, normal pre-trip jitters.

But here are some words of wisdom from Jimmy Buffett that give me comfort
(From Don't Chu Know, Barometer Soup)

"The best navigators are not sure where they're going until they get there... and even then they're not quite sure."-- Frank Bama

But I know one thing...indecision may or may not be my problem.

Your trip is going to be great!

GREAT Must-Dos and Favorites!

The monorail between MK and EPCOT rocks! We always use this to hop between these two parks.

TTA is one of my favorites too. And I love that there is rarely a line.

Tough one about the Le Cellier/Cape May ressies. Both restaurants are awesome. I don't know exactly what I would do, except I would definitely keep the clambake. I would consider having a light lunch at Le Cellier OOP(maybe split the soup and an entree with my DH) or cancel althogether and go to a CS at EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons or someplace around the world.

Great List of Must-Dos :D

As I read that Title line I heard Stacy's voice! LOL

SO SO SO EXCITED for your trip!!!!! Not much longer now!!!!

Love Stacy! Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain. Triple Mountain Whammy! Wham! Wham! Wham! It's all Wham!

I can't believe your trip is so close!! Less than 2 weeks away! :woohoo:

I would DEFINITELY keep both ADRs! It's a Trip of Favorites, after all! Do ALL of your favorite things!!

I've never been asked by CRO if we were celebrating anything, but the Dining Line always asks me. The CM at the resort might ask you at check-in though. And if nothing else, you can get your buttons from Guest Relations in whatever park you go to first!

You're soooooo close to being in single digits!!!:woohoo:

Hmm, I don't know if I could do both Le Cellier and Cape May on arrival day, but I know you and Brandon love both places. I guess since Cape May is a buffet, you wouldn't have to eat too much if you were still full from lunch.:confused3 I really don't know, though.

I love SimpleDisneyThings, as well! They make me so excited to be going to WDW when I see them. I frequently post them on my facebook page, and I know people think I'm crazy with how random it is, but I don't mind; it's the simple things that make Disney great, anyways.:thumbsup2

Love your favorites....and yes, 4 way ties are totally allowed! (It's MK we're talking about here, how could you possibly narrow MK rides down?!:rotfl2:)

So excited your almost at single digits!! I can't wait for your trip report!! It's going to be so good.
I started a trip report on my last trip, stop by if you want to. The link is in my siggy.

I love all your favorites!!! People mover is the best!!! I know it's such a boring ride to some people but it's the best!!!!! I would watch Philarmagic over and over and over. I could just sing to the music I  it! DHS - great choices! Epcot - Soarin but I can see how much you love it. Just like me. AK - Love it!!!!

Again, i can't wait to read your trip report!!!!

YAY!!! I finally had time to sit down and read through your whole PTR so far!:cool1: It looks like you guys are going to have an AMAZING time!! I'm totally jealous that you are staying at the Beach Club and are so close to Epcot! When we first called Disney they asked if we were celebrating something...we told them our birthdays...so I don't know why they didn't ask you??? I reserved all our Dining online and you can put on there what you're celebrating, too. Your trip is sooooo close!!! How exciting!!! :yay::yay:

In some parks it's just SO HARD to pick your top 3 hey?? lol. I'm that way too. When we got back from our last trip DD made up a visual display board of her favorite coasters. I told her to pick her top 5 and she could NOT DO IT!!! LOL so it ended up being the top 10 :)

The last several SW flights I've been on sold out... and Ben and I always get the WORST boarding position, so we usually can't sit together. But that's ok cause I sleep and he likes to make friends with the other people around him

I think you should keep your Le Cellier lunch ADR- I know how much you both enjoy eating there, and the earlier time being available seems to good to pass up!

Brandon wouldn't care if we didn't sit together, he would just talk to whoever he was sitting next to also, but I just am weird with being cramped in with strangers! I'm trying to decide if I should take the window seat and make Brandon sit in the middle and give the stranger the aisle seat, or if I should take the aisle seat, have Brandon in the middle and make the stranger take the window? I always have to get up to pee, I don't want to climb over someone, but at the same time, I like being near the window! :rotfl:

I'm really over thinking this! :sad2: You guys don't do Early Bird check in? We do, because if I wasn't in the A boarding group, I'd have a panic attack, I like being able to decide where we want to sit!

I will probably keep Le Cellier, why not, it's vacation, 2 restaurants in one day is fine with me! :thumbsup2

10 DAYS now!!! :dance3:

I didn't check to see if Cape May had any later times, but I actually like going there when it first opens...that way, less people have been near the buffet and everything is nice and fresh...I'm weird, I know! And our Le Cellier ADR is early, right when it opens, so we will have 5 and half hours between meals, I'm sure we will be hungry by then! :yay:

I swear, every single time I've called to book a Disney trip, they have asked if we were celebrating anything except this time! I guess I could just ask for the anniversary buttons when we check in but that seems weird! I'm just going to think of an excuse to call again in the next few days and see if they ask me I think...:rotfl:

The only thing I'm nervous about in Epcot is Soarin' I'm afraid the FP's are going to be gone really quickly now that there is no Test Track. Everything else should be pretty easy, and hopefully MK won't be too bad! :woohoo:

Congrats on 12 more days. Just keep both ADRs - cancel stuff later in the week if you start to feel the "too much food" feeling that sometimes happens in Disney.

Very cool pictures. I'll have to check out that site!

I think I'm going to just keep Le Cellier and Cape May, because I can always choose to NOT stuff myself at Cape May, you know? :rotfl: And I don't think I'll get dessert at Le Cellier since it will be so early, so we should be good!

I love simpledisneythings, I wish I thought of it! :thumbsup2

Exactly, it will be nice to get off the plane, drive over to Disney, check in and go right over to Le Cellier! :thumbsup2 I just hope we can make it there in time, our flight lands at 9:30 so we'll be pushing it a little!

Just 10 days now! Tomorrow will be single digits, which of course, I'll have to come here to post a little single digit dance...maybe your band could play while we're all single digit dancing! :dance3: :yay:

You can definitely do all of those (and more) on your trip. We did all of those in two days back in October. OK, I guess it was more like 2 1/2 but the point is it's definitely doable!

I don't think you should feel weird about asking for an anniversary button. Isn't that what they're there for? :) I'm sure they'd be happy to give them to you.

I hope we can do all of those things! I'm still not 100% sure if we are going to do AK on this trip, I'm hoping to find a place to add it in, but if not, there's always next time I guess! However, thinking about skipping it makes me so sad! :(

I know I shouldn't feel weird about asking for anniversary buttons, but I do! :rotfl2: I'll just have Brandon ask I guess, he won't mind! I'm going to call Disney one more time before my trip to see if they ask if we are celebrating anything! :yay:

AHHH 11 days!!!!!! I am so excited for you!!!!!

I think you can definitely do those must-dos! Maybe some a few times ;)

Maybe after traveling all morning you will be hungry enough for both ADRS.. Atleast one is a buffet!

10 days! I'm so excited too!! :yay:

I hope we get to do a few of those multiple times...I mean, I need to ride Soarin' and ToT as many times as possible, that's just a given!

We're always really hungry when we get to Disney, we usually go to DTD to eat on the way to our resort, but I guess this time we'll skip it and go straight to Le Cellier! :woohoo: And you're right, it's nice that the 2nd ADR is a buffet, that means I don't have to eat that much! Try telling that to Brandon, though, he loves stuffing himself there! :cool2:

Disney ALWAYS asked me what I was celebrating when I'm planning trips (especially the ones when we weren't celebrating anything at all! :rotfl:) I'd just bring it up. It's not weird!

I'd do both ADR's. Really, if it's something Brandon wants to do so badly, well, eating two great meals isn't THAT much of a problem! Maybe just pick slightly lighter items at LC to save some room for later?

Love your favorites! Particularly lifting your feet up on Soarin'. I always do that!

I know, they have always asked me too, and I think I've called 3 times about this trip and not once have they asked if we were celebrating anything! :scared1: The only other time I was celebrating was on our Disneymoon and we had that added to our reservation and they had our buttons ready when we checked in! I'm going to just call again and see if they bring it up, if not, I guess we can just ask when we check in! :yay:

Haha, you're right, eating 2 great meals isn't that horrible! I would love to pick lighter things at Le Cellier, however, I'm not sure I could go there and not eat steak and get that cheddar cheese soup! The only thing I could cut out is dessert! :rotfl2:

Me too...ahh, I love Soarin' so much! :cloud9:

Hooray for 12 days!! :cool1:
When I called to make a new reservation I was asked what I was celebrating, no other times though. :confused3 Worst case scenario you can always ask for them when you check in (in fact they might even ask you if you're celebrating when you check in if there's nothing already noted on your reservation). Love the favourites list! I say definitely do-able.

It's so weird, I guess it just depends on the person answering the phone! I've always been asked if we are celebrating anything, except this time! I'll have Brandon ask for buttons when we check in if I don't get it added to our reservation somehow! It just seems strange to ask for them!

I love eating in the restaurants too, and that's a big reason why Brandon likes going to Disney in the first place, so I don't mind using some of our time in restaurants! :thumbsup2 I love Le Cellier and Cape May so much, eating at both of them in one day will be pretty amazing! I'll just have to pace myself! :rotfl:

Just a thought... since you were able to move your Le Cellier reservation up a little maybe you can move Cape May back a little too. You still have 12 days to keep checking. I hope you can work it out.

I did think of that, but I like to go to Cape May early, when it first opens! :thumbsup2 We have almost 6 hours between ADR's so I think we will be ok! I might just play around on the Disney dining website though, just for fun, to see if anything is open! :yay:

I was way behind on your report- I was sorry to read about your stress, but glad to hear you have worked past it. As others have said, normal pre-trip jitters.

But here are some words of wisdom from Jimmy Buffett that give me comfort

But I know one thing...indecision may or may not be my problem.

Your trip is going to be great!

That's ok, I know you were away and busy and everything! :cool1:

Haha, thanks for the words of wisdom! :yay: I think this is going to be a great trip, no matter what we do, what parks we go to on what day, as long as we're in Disney, we're going to have an awesome time!

GREAT Must-Dos and Favorites!

I can't wait to use the monorail between MK and Epcot! :cool1:

TTA is the best, and it's nice that you can basically walk on to it at any time of day!

I'm most likely keeping both ADR's! There's no way I can cancel Cape May, it's one of our favorites and now that Brandon knows about Le Cellier I can't cancel that one either! I think I'll just skip dessert at Le Cellier and hope I have room for Cape May a few hours later! I'm glad it's a buffet so I don't have to eat a lot! :woohoo:
