Hello there DIS family! Welcome to our PTR! We will be staying at the Walt Disney World Dolphin from 11/7/2013 until 11/10/2013 and then making our way over to our beloved Bay Lake Tower from 11/10/2013-11/16/2013. First, here's a little bit about us:

This is the picture that best personifies us...Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb. LOL! I grew up going to Disney and of course, I married a man who had never been! After 7 years of dating and 2 years of marriage, I am proud to say that I have converted my husband into a Disney lover just like me! His first trip to the World was in 2009 and we stayed at the Dolphin. We have been nearly every year since then and we always make it a point to do at least a couple of nights at the Dolphin before moving to an on-site resort.

This year we are celebrating 2 years of marriage! We did not get married in Disney, but never fear, we made sure to have a few Disney themed additions to our ceremony and thereafter:

Anyway, back to the upcoming trip at hand! We are very excited to be back at Dolphin for our first leg of the trip. We had enough SPG points for one free night and because we booked so far in advance, got a great AAA rate for the remaining two nights. Here is the itinerary for the first leg:

November 7th:
- Arrive at the Dolphin
- Relax at the pool
- 5:30 p.m. dinner at Chefs de France
- Dessert at Beaches and Cream

November 8th:
- Visit the Festival Welcome Center and check it out get a passport
- Exchange Photopass+ voucher
- Food and Wine Festival at Epcot
- Eat and drink around the World
- 6:30 p.m. dinner at The Garden Grill
-
November 9th:
- Magic Kingdom all day
- Lunch at Columbia Harbor House
- 7:50 p.m. dinner at Ohana

You can probably deduce two things from this section.

1.) We are total Disney foodies. We love to sample food from around the world. We do one QS for lunch everyday and we do a TS every night for dinner. This year we WILL NOT be using the DDP and instead, we opted for TIW simply because we would like more freedom in our ability to order more appetizers and less desserts. Plus, alcohol is included in the discounted rate as well. I have done the math and I feel like this is the best option for our family at this time.
2.) We love pictures. We buy the PP+ every year and really feel as if we get our money's worth. If you compare the cost of what it would be to purchase individual pics from rides/dinners/theme parks compared to the $149.99 for the PP+, you really can't go wrong!

On to the second leg of the trip. We are moving from the Dolphin to Bay Lake and we have hired a Mears town car to take us from one place to the other as we had a bad experience with cab drivers last year. It was only $27.00 and to me, completely worth it! Here is the itinerary:

November 10th:
- Check out of Dolphin
- Mears pick-up at 11:30 a.m.
- Check into Bay Lake Tower
- Lunch at Contempo Cafe
- 3:30 p.m. couples massage at Grand Floridian
- 6:15 p.m. dinner at Narcoossee
- Garden Grocer delivering food @ 7:00 p.m.
- Anniversary Wishes Boat Cruise

November 11th:
- Hollywood Studios all day
- Lunch at Starring Rolls Café
- 6:35 p.m. dinner at Mama Melrose

November 12th:
- 9:40 a.m. Breakfast at Ohana
- Epcot all day
- 9:05 p.m. California Grill

November 13th:
- Downtown Disney for the day
- 12:15 p.m. lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express
- 6:40 p.m. dinner at Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom

November 14th:
- Hollywood Studios
- 6:30 p.m. Il Mulino

November 15th:
- 10:00 a.m. breakfast at The Contempo Cafe
- Sleep in/pool day/movies/laundry
- 5:00 p.m. dinner at Kona Cafe
- Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party

November 16th:
- Check out of Bay Lake
- Epcot All Day
- 3:00 p.m. lunch at Tutto Italia
- Town car pick up at Beach Club Resort to the Airport

So there you have it! November 10th is our day to really celebrate our anniversary so it is jam packed with romantic events like the couples massage, dinner at Narcoossee's and the Wishes fireworks cruise. I have arranged for a small replica of our wedding cake to be delivered to the table during dinner as well. We have rented boats during the day, but we have never done the fireworks cruise and we cannot wait!

So I hope you will follow along with us as we get ready for this trip and make our way back home. In order to prepare I've already done a few things to get myself psyched up (as if I need to).

I have had custom luggage tags made:

Had my itinerary and confirmation numbers bound into a booklet to keep track of:

Had a Minnie Mouse hair clip made for the Christmas Party:

...and last but not least, got my FP+ times all sorted out:

I'll be updating periodically until we leave, see you real soon!

Alright, so a little change in plans. We decided we wanted an earlier ADR on 11/15 because we would be at the Christmas Party that night. We have opted to get rid of Kona and book the Hoop Dee Doo Revue at Ft. Wilderness. My husband and I have never been to this resort or this show. Are there any cool things to look out for at the resort? Anyone have any feedback on the show and/or food?
