Ok,
Explore bugs lands & take lots of photos as this appears to be a really cool picture spot (Is Dot represented??????? Long story about me & Dot)

Are you gonna bring me with you now!? ;)

:rotfl:

Rick Springfield? Wow, a blast from the past!! LOL I think I was in the 6th grade the last time I listened to him. I love Jesse's Girl. :cool1:

Oh, and I love the cake you did. Nice job!!!

I'm sorry the Muppet shirt doesn't fit! What a bummer!! I'm glad she agreed to take it back, though! I love those DISigns!! That board is awesome! I like the Kermit one, too! Thanks for the suggestions on the Walt books. I just love reading about him and his life. I got a DVD on his life not too long ago from the Disney Movie Club and I cried and cried like a baby! :rotfl2: I'm going to keep my eyes open for some of those books!!!

Not trying to hijack your thread but I have great news!!! I'm going for a 3 day mini trip in January (no husband) with a friend!!! A bunch of past Disney Brides and Honeymooners are getting together and we're going for a weekend trip! I can't wait!!!!

You could tell us what "must do's" you accomplished on your last DL trip so we can think of anything new to add :confused3

Great cake, good job with the Font!

Are they letting you go to the Walt Disney Studios store at the Studios? That has a small selection of Walt Disney Studios merchandise and a ton of WDW merchandise(it's technically owned by WDW). I told you where to find the mice from Cinderella on the Legends Statue, right?
I think we will have time in the Studio store after lunch there in the comissary. I am most excited about shopping at Mickey's of Glendales at Imagineering though. Remind me again, I think you told me on one of your trip report, but I didn't write it down.

Is your DVD, Walt the Man Behind the Myth? I cry every time I watch it & I love listening to his grandchildren & daughter talk about him.
 :cool1: On your trip to WDW :cool1:  You are going to do a trip report right?

You could tell us what "must do's" you accomplished on your last DL trip so we can think of anything new to add :confused3

Great cake, good job with the Font!
I'll have to think on that.........we did most of the rides so that is why rides aren't up there on the MUST DO lists for me. We will do rides I am sure, but I want this to be more about the experience & soaking up the atmosphere of Walt's park. Thanks about the cake. I had fun & I love doing the Disney writing. My instructor was like you have that down huh? :rotfl:

Ok young man.......there will be no dissing of Rick on this here trippie. Where's the smilie for tapping my foot.........:sad2: You are just too young to understand.......& not a girl. Surely more than 8 people showed up at the concert though..........his shows in Nashville at the Wildhorse both sold out last year. I forgive you for laughing but just because I like ya.............:rolleyes1 Now on to the Imagineering book......said in my best Napoleon Dynamite impression....."Get your own." :goodvibes

i am sorry i just thought it was very funny that he did not want the key to the city.

well fine then, i told candi that i wanted the book last night, since you wont give me yours.

i do like some of his songs, just to make you happy:goodvibes

the plans sound good, and i like the cake, try mickey shapped pancakes and chocolate chips or m and ms for the eyes

I hope you write a TR Karen! Yours are always fun to read :goodvibes

Great job with the cake! You can send a slice my way, I'm a good cake taster :rotfl:

Maliboomer if it's still open!!!!

What is Maliboomer? I don't think I've heard of it before.

The mice are in a little tube on the back of the Legends Statue. They can be somewhat tough to see, but they're in there.

Maliboomer is an attraction in DCA. It launches you high up in the air extremely fast. Almost a reverse Tower of Terror, albeit with an almost complete lack of themeing.

Love the Rick Springfield story! I wasn't really a super fan - I chose not to be star struck in those days - but I still love a good fan story! :thumbsup2 How cool that you made it onto the "album jacket!"

Oooohhh....Melanie...I just found this. Sean said his one trip to Cali was enough for him...if we ever had the opportunity to do a trip like this I could trick him into going back. (My sister & other relatives live near LA). I need a good day off to read this thread. I can't wait to continue reading & read the POST-trip report!!

A tube? Is it at the base? I really want to find them because my Mom loves her some Gus & I need to get a picture for her.

the countdown calander looks really cool, i like it, sadly i dont think we will be making one this year, i did not have time.

Hi Melanie. I'm trying to remember exactly where Gus is. In looking at my pics from the statue, I think they're inside the rolls of the scroll.

legendstatue.jpg

The scroll is to the left of Mickey's arm and the castle in here.

Here's a close up of the scroll itself in the upper left corner of the pic above Steamboat Willie. Hopefully I'm remembering correctly and that's where they are. It is pretty cool to see them in there.

I think we will definetly try to find it as where we are staying we should be able to get a far away kind of picture, but I would like some closer pictures. It's on my list of things to do on the way back to the hotel. Thanks for getting the directions for me from your friend.:goodvibes
