How did the school even know how old her boyfriend is?
Absurd IMO
County policy -- been policy forever and a day: any student bringing a guest who isn't a student at OUR SCHOOL has to turn in a copy of the date's ID ahead of time. The SRO (School Resource Officer) goes through the list /approves them. The idea is that if anything happens at prom (bringing in alcohol, vandalism, etc.), the school administrators can identify everyone who is present.

I knew this was a zombie thread as soon as I saw the name of the OP. He hasn't been around in years

My kids school wont allow it. 20 is the max age. But....I voted I dont know. Who is anyone to judge. This is prom girls big night. Let her be happy. Ive seen lots of kids inviting celebrities and some accepting. Its great then. Why not with common folk? !!

I don't know. I'm just putting it out there... but here is one thought... say a 16 year old girl is attending, and this guy takes notice of her too often, maybe she wonders about the creepy older guy?

EDIT.... not just THIS guy, but any 25 year old guy, is how I meant it.

How is that any different than the waiters, chaperones, teachers in school every day?

my kids are out of high school, but about 5 years ago, for their proms they had to submit a guest for, ID of the guest, letter of good standing from their high school or college and they could only be out of school for 2 years.
