Joanne, I LOVE that box!! Much more professional than mine, too! And you know how much I adore the logo you made ... what a wonderful keepsake!! BTW, I love the photos you've added to your signature ... they're just beautiful.

I can also report that our cake server and forks arrived today. They were packaged beautifully (I almost hated to open them!) and are even more gorgeous in person than in the photos. I'm so happy with them!

Hi Joanne! Actually, since we've switched back to the Swan and aren't using the Pavilion, we're not going to have a banner. Instead, I bought two pretty tablecovers that match our aisle runner and one will be on the sand table/"altar" at the front and the other will cover our guest table next to the Crescent platform area.

Now, on a completely un-VR-related note, will you ladies indulge a proud mom? Our ds just finished high school and dh took him to a local park for some senior photos yesterday. I've been playing with them a bit today and these 3 are my very favorite:

Thank you all! School wasn't his favorite thing and we're ALL relieved that it's done, LOL!! Although he is of course planning on college this fall. He wants to go into Exercise Science. He's really passionate about it (martial arts, fitness, nutrition, etc.) so I'm hoping he'll find college much more interesting/exciting than high school.

Joanne, isn't it amazing how fast the years go by? Kristi, my best friend's kiddoes are only 10 and 7 and it's so strange to be in such a different stage of life than her when we're the same age! Treasure that time when they're little and sweet ... it flies by!! And I agree with both of you girls ... I'm still a princess for sure!!

Well, I broke the cardinal rule of dress shopping: "Once You Find Your Dress, Stop Looking". This morning I got an email from David's Bridal about their new fall 2011 styles and I clicked on it.

On their site is THE dress. The one I envisioned myself wearing when we started planning this VR a year ago. The one, where if you took our theme and made it into a dress, this is the dress. If my bouquet was a dress, it would be this dress. It's light, it's soft, it doesn't look too much like something a first-time bride would wear. It is everything I ever wanted and never could find.

This is it:

Here's the thing -- I would have to sell the other dress. AND ... this dress isn't available 'til August. And their system won't even let me pre-order it because the delivery date it kicks back is THE DAY AFTER OUR VR.

My only hope is that if I sit tight 'til August, they'll get one in the store in my size, or that they can find one at another store in my size. Otherwise, it's not gonna happen.

I could seriously just kill myself right now. Whyyyyyyyyyy do I do this to myself??

I'm editing to add 2 photos of my bouquet so you can see them w/the dress. See how great they go?

That dress is absolutely divine. I so hope that you will manage to get one that fits.

I do so understand where you are coming from. I had my dress since December and I could not imagine ever wanting to wear something else. Then I came across another dress that I fell in love with. Fortunately they were both really inexpensive. The first one was about $125 and the second about $70. So I decided that I will wear them both and will enjoy them. I will wear the original dress for the actual vow renewal and the photos. As the photos will be outside and the dress has a bit of a train, I figured that it will be filthy after this. So I will get change once we have checked in at our hotel and will wear the second dress for dinner.

Hi Amy, I've been content just silently following your plans, but had to comment after your post. The new dress is gorgeous and with your bouquet, sublime! What a dilema you now have, but personally if it fits in the budget, I would so go for it!
