Amy, 28, My life partner and life long disney addict!
Chelle, Me, 32-Amy inducted me into the Disney addict club back in 2000 and I've never been the same.
Tuesday, February 3rd
After a quick breakfast we headed to the Magic Kingdom for a little fun. We slowly meandered down Main Street and decided to head to Tomorrowland. We rode Buzz Lightyear and I managed to have a higher score than Amy! There is a first time for everything. After Buzz, we grabbed two coffees and found a seat in front of the castle and enjoyed Cinderella's Surprise Celebration. I love this show...I swear I am a 9 year old girl at heart.
We then visited Toontown and saw Minnie's and Mickey's houses. Then off to Fantasyland for Mickey's Philharmagic show. We really enjoyed this show. Very cute and very kid friendly effects...heard none of the usually 3-D movie crying! Next was a spooky ride on Haunted Mansion.
After our HM ride, we exited the park and jumped on the monorail and rode over to the Polynesian. We had a relaxing lunch at Kona Cafe. This is the place that has Amy's favorite hamburgers in all of WDW! She enjoyed her burger. We strolled around the Poly and took in the beautiful resort. We investigated a little as we are staying there in October and wanted to see all that we will be enjoying in the fall!
We decided to go back to the resort for a break. We took a 2 hour nap and woke refreshed and ready for another great evening.
We went to MK for the evening. The park was packed! We did some shopping on Main Street, Liberty Square and Adventureland. Amy grabbed an egg roll and a soda and we staked out our spot for Spectro. We sat on the ground right in front of the rope in Frontierland in front of Country Bear Jamboree. 30 minutes later the parade started. Soon we were able to hear the music and see the lights coming. There was a family behind us with two small boys who were standing. We slid over and let the boys kneel down next to us so they could see better. Spectro was as fun as ever. One of the bubble blowing fishes zoomed over right in front of us and winked. One of the boys thought it was going to hit us...that's how close it was.
Near the end of the parade Peter Pan came by and shook our hands. You have got to love Peter! One of the young boys stood up and yelled at his Mom "Where is Wendy??" How cute was that? We all got a giggle over that one. After the parade we moved towards Main Street and stood and waited for Wishes to start. It was amazing!!! I knew we would have to come back later in the week so I could see it again.
After Wishes we grabbed some hot dogs at Casey's Corner. We ate while the masses of people exited the park. By the time we left, Main Street was pretty clear. We soon realized that all the people were actually waiting for the bus to Pop Century.
This was the longest line we waited in all week. We had to stand in line for 40 minutes before we were able to board a bus. The buses were coming very quickly, but there was just that many people!
Needless to say we fell into bed that night and slept a very sound sleep.
Next: Day 4/More Magic Kingdom fun!
