My wife recently watched a video of the Kids Club/Oceaneers Club on the Disney Fantasy and she noted that there seemed to be a lot of screens for movies and games. While we are not completely anti-screen time, we would just feel bad having them to go to the kids club just to watch tv essentially. How much non screen entertainment is there?

Our kids are 5 and 3, so I assume they would be separate as 5-7 year olds are grouped together and 3-4 year olds are grouped together.

This is the video she watched:

DS was 7 on our first Disney cruise. We allowed very limited screen time at home. I would notice when we picked him up for meals or shows, etc. that we would find him in an area with screens. I would ask the counselors when I dropped him off if they could suggest to him some other things if they noticed he had been at a screen for a long time. A few days in, I realized that this was his vacation, too, and if he wanted to make a rollercoaster on a screen for hours, then he could.

When my kids went on the Wish at ages 6 and 9, it sounded like there weren't so much age groupings as there were different activities to choose from that appealed to different age groups. I just learned from the video that there was a distinct 3 and 4 age group, so I am not sure about their activities, but here's what I know about the 5 and up group....

My 9 year old spent a lot of time in the Star Wars area and said he got to the last level in the Marvel area, while my 6 year old brought home crafts, told about listening to stories with Belle, and was disappointed when we picked her up for dinner when a Disney Junior dance party was bout to begin. She did enjoy playing in the Marvel area, too, though, so it sounded like everything was more driven by kids' interest than specific age after age 5.
