I am looking for a nice, clean, reasonably priced place to stay near the airport before our morning flight home. I have seen people mention staying at the Amerisuites and the Sheraton Suites near the airport. Does anyone have comments as to which would be the best? I considered using Priceline, but am just too chicken that I will get someplace horrible. I am looking for a hotel which has complimentary shuttle to airport, is clean, safe, and relatively comfortable for me, DH, DS 13, DS 7 and DD 5. Free breakfast would be nice, but not imperative. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated. TIA.

We stayed at the Amerisuites NW in December the night before our cruise. I was really impressed. Nice room GREAT free breakfast, including yogart, belguim waffles etc..
you can easilly get it on hotwire. It is the only two and a half star suite with a "kitchen" we got it for 39.00 for the night plus the 10.00 fee. PM or email me if you need better details. Ann

I don't think there are any"crummy" airport hotels in that area. Bid a 3 star and you'll be fine.

We stayed at the Marriott Airport (near the Amerisuites) in Jan. for 27. nite plus fees. Very nice. No bkfst tho.

Mom + 4 -

We're in the same boat as you - we only need a hotel room for one night, but I wanted the place to be clean and comfortable. I made reservation with Amerisuites NW ($67/night) but then got scared because of 2.5* mark it got from Priceline (although it does have 3* with AAA). I just booked with Country Inn & Suites (also a 3* with AAA) which is right down the road from Amerisuites NW. The address is 5440 Forbes Place. It just opened this year (just constructed and not a transfer of name as in Amerisuites case), and there's an Introductory Special on the internet for $59/night. Make sure once the screen shows you the rates that you click on the Show All Rates button because the $59 rate originally didn't show up on my first screen.

With this rate, you can choose a King or two Queen beds and breakfast is included.

Not a computer whiz so can't publish a link for you. Good Luck!
