Has anyone ever stayed at the Amersuites across the street from Universal? What did you think if you have?

We stayed there in May, 2002 for about 10 nights on a bid through Priceline ($28/nt.). Overall it was a very nice place. The deluxe continental breakfast is nice, (waffles, sweet rolls, cereal, fresh fruit, bagels, cream cheese, toast, jelly, juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs) and free and although my DH and I got tired of it after a few days, my three DDs loved it. We saved a fortune just on breakfast. The pool was small but adequate and never too crowded while we were there. We did have a small issue with housekeeping but brought it to the attention of the manager and it was taken care of. It is across the street from Universal's parking structure (but it is still quite a hike). They do have a bus that goes there (but we never used it because we had a car and APs w/ free parking). We were very happy with the hotel considering what we paid and would stay there again for the same price or slightly more.

how far is it from citywalk

The one that I am going to is right across the street from Universal. This is my first time to the Universal area so I have no idea . Sorry!!

It's advertised as being directly across from Universal but it isn't exactly. It's across from the parking structure and it's about a 15 minute walk (with stroller and kids) to Citywalk and the theme parks. The only hotels that are truly across from Universal are the on-site ones, RPH, HRH and PBH. It's definitely walkable but we're used to walking and it didn't bother us. People who aren't used to walking may think it's too much of a hike.
