America's Largest RV Show!!!

Beware of the Hershey RV show. Last year my wife and I went "just to look" and found a TT we liked. Went to a dealership a couple weeks later and ended up buying one (not the same one we saw at the show, however). That dollar off coupon can be very expensive!

I've never been to Hershey or the RV show there. I really want to go to Hershey if I could get my DH to take an actual vacation instead of sporadic 3 or 4 day weekends.

We have a fairly large RV show in Tampa every January. We always enjoy going to it.

Have fun & leave your credit cards at home!!

Went to the Tampa show a couple of years ago. See my sig for the result. Went last year and came so, so, close to upgrading. I think I'll stay home during the next show.

I am happy with what I have, but I still go to the shows.

I just go into the rv's I know there is not way I could afford to keep it safe.

What could you possibly upgrade to that is nicer than what you already have? Are you thinking Prevost or Country Coach? Nah!! They aren't THAT much nicer for the price difference. Why...you'd have a nice down payment for a home in Golden Oaks for the cost of a Prevost or CC! :rotfl2:

Prevost, that's a big leap from what I have. It was the same make as I what I have now, but it was a little longer, had the tag axel, and had a layout that we liked better. But you're right, after thinking about it, it wasn't that drastic a change, so that was that. Logic won out at the last minute, better known as my wife. But I really did almost get it.
BTW, I drive a Prevost, bus that is. The bus I like the least, the Nova, is made by Prevost.

We suffered from "One-Foot-itis" big time. Went from a 30ft Dutch Star with 2 slides, to a 45ft Travel Supreme with 4 slides, to a 40ft Vectra with 4 slides, to our now 32ft Meridian with 2 slides. If I could only have all that $$$ back that I lost trading. Uck!! I wouldn't have to work anymore!!

They need to develop a vaccine to prevent "One-Foot-itis"!! :rotfl2:

My problem is keeping my wife focused. The last two trailers we have ended up with something more than I wanted because she sat in a different one than we were looking at. I will admit, though, I have been happy with her choices.

Let this serve as an example to husbands everywhere.....always buy the unit the wife wants. It will save you from trading and losing, and trading and losing because if "Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" :rotfl:

Carol has to have the "wow" factor. She has to sit at the dinette and look around and say "wow." I, on the other hand, am more practical and look at weights and lengths and such boring things. What we usually do is satisfy my requirements first, then she has several to choose from within my limits. The trailer we got last year was not the one we went to look at. I just happened to look on the dealer's website before we left and saw he had one leftover 2009 on the lot and he dropped the price that morning drastically to get rid of it. Coincidentally, it was parked right next to the one we went to look at, which she liked too and we were ready to deal on, but I asked to take a look at the leftover and the rest is history.

Oops, now you tell me. You mean you're supposed to show it to your wife before you buy it. Maybe next time.
True story, I told her about it after I bought it. Wanna see my new toy? Do I at least get brownie points for knowing she'd like it?

In 2008 we were camped next to a family that had an Alfa See Ya. the gentlemen was telling DH about when they went to look at motorhomes. When the wife walked into the one they have she looked at the salesman and said we'll buy it and walked out. The guy looked at my husband and said you don't want to know how much I paid for this.

:cloud9:

We got into the Hershey RV show for $4 apiece. How did you do that ?????

Ya gotta be really old. It was SENIOR day.

For 4 bucks let's go up for an hour or two. 6 1/2 hours later we left for home. It's a shame that my Dad was a barber and not a Rockefeller. Well Dad coulda given any Rockefeller a whoopin' on a pool table, but some of those A's at Hershey were unreal at Rockefeller prices.

Hey JIM: We caught up to our Sales guy from Schaeffers. The Heartland Focus x21 and x22 look real nice. We would like to downsize from the 5r and both of these units we drop around 3000 lbs.

My DH will definately agree with you on that. Especially when it comes to MY camper.
When we bought our FW I did 90% of the looking then made him go back to the dealer with me when I finally found the one.
That is pretty much the same thing we are going through now looking for a Class A.

We're going to the RV show in Atlanta tomorrow. It's nowhere near the size of the one in PA, but I still love to drool over all the pretty MHs. We have a 2006 Providence, but I really want a Tiffen Phaeton. If they have one there, it will be hard for me to leave it behind...but of course, I will. :(

Oh yeah. We want a "Phaeton" so bad we can taste it. We are currently camping now at Williamsburg and there is a Phaeton in front of us and one behind us. How much torture can one person take!!! My brother is going to the Hershey show to look at Phaetons also. He looking to purchase his first A and is so excited.

Tiffen is a great product.

There is an RV show in Daytona next weekend. I just checked into it. It's actually one RV dealer, and only looks like brands I'm not interested in. Guess I'll wait for the Tampa Super Show in January.

We have Lazy Days practically in our back yard and they have an RV show 360 days a year. :thumbsup2

I went to the RV show in Atlanta today and it was a major disappointment. There were very few Class As and all except for maybe one were used. One dealership had SOLD signs on almost every RV that they had brought in. The also showed that they were going to have 3 or 4 Tiffen Class As and they didn't even have one. Like I said...major disappointment.

no, if you want to be dissappointed with an rv/camper show come up here to ours. You will find about 7 pop-ups. 5 fifth wheels, 1 truck camper, 4 motorhomes. and trust me they are the most ecenomical ones out there. :)

oh and i can't forget about 4-6 chevy's and fords. we have to include the car show in this or it wouldn't fill up the space.

we go once in a while just for something to do.
