Thank you to all who answered all my beginner's question while I planned our first trip to DLP! Your answers helped SO much! We are from USA and just got home from our 1st Adventures by Disney Adventure to London & Paris and added on 4 nights at Hotel New York - Marvel to experience DLP. The shower layout at the hotel was interesting! 😉 The transfers with Western Tours both from our Paris Hotel to DLP and then to the airport were flawless and very comfortable!

We had an amazing experience and I will say the Disney Magic is alive and well in Paris! We hadn't been in the parks an hour when Captain Jack Sparrow snatched my daughter and took her on a tour of the park since she mentioned it was our first time there. We were so impressed with the number of languages he spoke! :-) The parks were so clean and the fireworks....♥️! Wish we had more time to enjoy more restaurants but we did experience Captain Jack's, Chez Remy, Plaza Character Dinner, and Walt's. The shows were amazing as well! Mickey and the Magician as well as Lion King are must sees!

Also enjoyed Dream...and Shine Brighter! We didn't know what to expect the first time - it was a parade down Main Street but then the characters and dancers moved to the stages in the hub to perform. Best spot is in the center of the hub because then you can hop from stage to stage easily to see your favorites. This performs several times per day but Stars on Parade is only at 5:30 pm.

Found the alleys behind the Main Street shops which REALLY help the crowds exit after big events instead of everyone being plastered together on Main Street.

Now, it's my turn to repay the favor! If anyone, especially those traveling from the USA, have any questions (no matter how basic), feel free to ask and I will try to answer

Thanks for reporting back. I have Western Tours booked for August, so appreciated hearing that you had two good experiences with them. I am concerned that the AC will not be sufficient. Did you find the AC to be comfortable at Marvel? We are staying at Sequoia.

We used Western and they were great! We stayed at the Sequoia (end of June) and room temp was fine. Be sure to get to the pool-- great jacuzzi there!

Oh gosh. Let's hear about the bathroom layout at Marvel. Was considering booking with friends there and need to be prepared. Europe has some doozies. lol

Great summary report!

I'm going to DLP for the first time in late November this year.

Couple questions.

1. Did you have any fav counter services or snacks?

2. Which characters were at the Plaza dinner?

3. We are big into meeting characters, any advice?

Sorry for the slow responses, I have been catching up at home and work after being gone for 2 weeks!

A/C was fine in both our 1st Paris hotel (Hilton Opera Paris) and Hotel New York.

The shower layout was just odd. The tub has very tall sides - great if you have kids that want to take a bath but almost needed a step-stool to get in. The glass door is only about 1/2 the length of the tub and swings out so the back end of the tub is open to the sink area (so be mindful of how you align the showerhead or anything on the counter next to the sink may get wet). Speaking of the showerhead, it is the type that slides up and down on a rail so you can adjust the height, but ours would not stay up. We left a note for housekeeping but maybe they didn't read English well as it was never fixed.

Speaking of housekeeping, they came in twice without knocking! Once we had the bar on the door so they were stopped, but once my daughter was in the room on her own and she didn't have the bar on the door and they just walked in while she was in the bathroom. Our Do Not Disturb sign kept disappearing from our door so think other rooms may have snagged it if they were missing theirs.

We were surprised there was not quick service food available at the hotel, only sit down restaurants. We did eat at the New York Style Deli (that's what it's called) in Disney Village several times since they stayed open after the parks closed. The combo meals were a good deal - Sandwich and a drink for $10 or Mickey pizza, side (fries or salad), dessert and drink for $15. The menu doesn't show it but the dessert can be fruit and they gave us a huge slice of watermelon as the dessert. We went back just to buy watermelon (my daughter loves fruit) several times.

Disneyland Park stayed open until 11 pm on our nights (didn't get dark enough for fireworks until then) but many of the quick service places in the park closed early (like 7 or 8 pm). This left the few that were open later with HUGE lines. We had a dining reservation each day so just snacked the rest of the day. Disappointed that DLP does not have Mickey pretzels like US parks but did find good soft pretzels at the Studios Park by Ratatouille. They have all kinds of waffles as snacks throughout the parks, with either powdered sugar or Nutella. They also didn't have Mickey Ice Cream sandwiches but did have other frozen treats I've never seen in US parks.

At the Plaza we had Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy, Tigger and Rabbit. Most of the character meets in the park had longer lines than the rides so we didn't bother to wait since we had limited time. Found many just wandering around without scheduled times (kind of like at Disneyland in CA),

I was thinking about this during my visit this week. We were staying at a good neighbour hotel, Campanile.
None of the DLP hotels has a quick service like the hotels at WDW have. They all have sit down restaurants, either buffet or a la carte.

On this visit I arrived really late at the hotel, and I was just hungry. I was able to grab a sandwich from the quick service at Campanile.

Do we need anything other than passport, EU Digital Passenger Locator, and CDC vaccine card to enter France? I'm just paranoid I am going to miss something I need.

Great recap and we must have been there around the same time! First trip to DLP as well. We are DVC, Annual Pass and live about 1.5 hrs from WDW and been to DL and CA several times and have to say, we were completely impressed with DLP! We stayed at Newport and heard some say the walk was so far. Clearly they have not been to WDW! Walk was like 10 min. Further walk from World Showcase at EPCOT to monorail! Agree re alley behind Main Street. Wish MK would do the same. Made it so easy. Felt most rides were better as well - Space and Thunder and love the tweak on Tower of Terror (but love the Guardians version at DL). Anyway, we were apprehensive after reading some reviews from others about the differences but were very pleasantly surprised. Happy to hear same from you! (Fyi, we found the same type of shower in all our Paris & London hotels as well with that half door pulling out. Not sure what to make of it!)

It looks like a shower screen, quite common, only covers down half the side of the bath. I have the same in my home & have no issues. Better than a shower curtain and in long term cheaper as easier to clean.

Glad you enjoyed your trip, thanks for sharing :)

Thanks, I already have two! I am more worried about not having Covid related paperwork, but it appears all we need is our vaccination cards for France.

Do you know if the DLP Ultimate Access pass includes rides from Marvel Campus?

Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spiderman.

Do you know if the DLP Ultimate Access pass includes rides from Marvel Campus?

Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spiderman.

As of the today (the first day Avengers Campus is officially open in DLP) these rides are not included in the Premier Access Ultimate or Disney Premier Access One. This could always change.

Will be headed to DLP in December for the first time. What is the EU digital passenger locator, and do we need to have one?
