American Idol

They said that she was called home for a family emergency or something of that sort.

I guess I'm just used to it because I didn't notice a thing with Paula, thought she acted like she always acts.

I also liked the curly haired guy, great voice!! The woman in the fuzzy yellow 'shirt' was interesting to say the least. She kept lifting it up to reveal her stomach. And she claimed to be 26 when she was 50! Like anyone would have believed her to be 26 years old.

Paula really is becoming quite sad to behold. I hope her personal problems -whatever they may be -don't become a trainwreck for the nation to behold.

On a positive note, I really liked the big guy who sang the Seal song. All geeks of the world (me included) have GOT to be cheering for that guy. "I want to make David Hasselhoff cry." :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I had heard of the interviews but never watched them...She has been acting very very weird. Now that I see the videos...I fee very sorry for her!

I also love the "Kiss From a Rose" guy! I remember thinking, "He's so funny, but I hope he can sing so he gets through to Hollywood." And he did. :cool1:

So tonight's L.A. What do they say when they tell somebody they're going to Hollywood? "Congratulations, you're going about three streets over from here!" :rotfl2:

I've really gotten to the point that I hate watching these early episodes. That 50 year old was nothing more than a waste of time. Everyone knew - before she went in - that she was horrible, and was only doing it to try to get on television. Instead of telling her, no, thanks, we're looking for talent...they indulge her, which just leads all the other idiots out there watching to try the same thing next year. It just gets really old watching fools prove themselves to be fools.

Unfortunately, DD and DW are both even more hooked on the show than I am (and please don't get me wrong, I LOVE the show when it is actually showing talented people...just hate the exposure they give to the idiots in the crowd), so we'll keep watching. Once Hollywood roles around (I would guess next week, right?) the show starts to improve exponentially.

Yeah, the "Kiss from a Rose" guy is a riot, and he can sing, to boot, so he'll be a favorite of mine for a while. I have managed - amid the ridiculousness - to see several that I thought had quite a bit of potential, so once they weed out the rest, this could be a very competitive season!

Ok, I think I've picked my favorite - the funny guy with the thick curly hair who sang Kiss of a Rose. I predict he'll be in the top 10!! I loved his voice!

I really liked him a lot too. He has a different look and an awsome voice. And he was hilarious.

:thumbsup2 ITA. I was thinking the same thing last night... Why would they encourage all the 30yo+ loonie birds that are going to show up now? :confused3 Is 10,000+ people per site not enough to have to weed through? On the bright side though, I am now making plans to audition for next year's contest ;)

I love the "Kiss from a Rose" guy. I knew he could sing before watching the show, because he was on the commercials. I thought he was too funny. I really hope it makes it far.

As for Paula, she is on something without a doubt. They said she had to go back to LA for a family function, but I think she was just hung over. She'll be in rehab soon.

The girl with the long hair. I liked her voice. I wish they would have let her sing another song without her mother present.
