American Idol fans: Whos going to be in the Bottom 3?

I'm not getting the same vibe as most about Kimberly C. She loves being on camera, but that's what this contest is all about.

I agree, Tinkbell. While I don't think Kimberly C's voice is even in the top five, she is attractive, has a great presence and a lot of confidence, which comes from many years of performing on a stage. I don't really get why so many people hate her. I do think
her vocal range is very limited, but I also think that of Faith Hill, and look how far she has come. :rolleyes

And when Simon said America got the bottom 3 right, the audience boo'ed, it wasnt Simon who put them there it was the public that voted!!

I totally agree! If you're going to say that, then please tell us who you really think should be standing there!! Paula is so afraid of saying the wrong thing. Randy is not much better. He will never tell anyone that they are bad. He just blames it on the song.

I totally agree Tinkbell, Randy always blames it on the song. He should be listening to how they sing, not what they sing.
I have to say though, I am guilty of not liking a performance if someone sings a song I'm not familiar with or do not particularly care for.

I agree about Clay and those twitching eyes. I don't really think as much of him as some others do. Wouldn't bother me if he got the boot after awhile. He is riding high on Paula and Randy's comments. He needs to change the pace a little and sing something a little different to show he can do other types of music well.

It is amazing how Kimberly C is always right there, front, center and crying every week for the person who gets booted off. I mean she gets more camera time than the person having their 'swan song'

Can't wait till the week when she's crying for Kimberly C.

Does anyone remember the question posed to Paula last night? Something about the wrong person voted off too soon? She responded with "No, as in the case of Tamira Grey last season." Now I thought that they, all three judges, were floored when she was voted off. So I don't know if she understood the question or not.

I agree that it was Julia's time to go. If she had only had the confidence that she had last night, she would have went farther. She does have a nice voice.

Corey should go soon. Besides his voice being irritating, hanging his head all the time is annoying.

I agree about Clay's eyes. But I feel that a lot of his presence is that he is just confident in the way he feels about himself. The same goes for Rueben and Rickey. I feel that they are all sure of themselves, not that they will be the next American Idol, but, oh I am looking for a word and can't seem to find it. Well, maybe that they have lots of good self esteem, they feel good about themselves but not that they are better than anyone else. Did that make sense?

From what I remember, I think the question was more like: Do you think that the public always gets it right? And she responded that "no, the public does not always get it right, as in the case of Tamyra Gray last year". Not the exact words I'm sure, but I think that was the jist of it. Anyway, it made perfect sense to me

I can't speak for everyone but I know this is HARDLY the case for me.

I dislike her because of her cocky, arrogant attitude. This is always a turn off to me. Looks wise, I have always admired beautiful people. As a youth I was beat up, spat on and ostracized for being "attractive, has a great presence and a lot of confidence" so I NEVER do that to others.

In the Dale Carnegie world, her lack of humility will be a downfall for her. As I noted before, maybe this latest hit will do it for her. I am willing to bet if she would relax and let other people tell her how great she is instead of being a camera hog, she will have a much bigger following.

Confidence does help with notoriety in the show business world, but most of the biggest, most successful people are shy, retiring, humble people. They usually last the longest in the business also. The fly by nights with the big egos usually fall off the stratosphere rather quickly.

Wow, I think Faith Hill has an amazing voice and a great range, but that's jmo. I'd never compare Kim to Faith, they're not even in the same class. (again, jmo.)

I saw on Yahoo news today that Trenyce has been convicted for stealing in the past, but that they let her be on the show anyway. Has anyone else heard about this?

Also, while I was working today, I started thinking about what songs I'd like to see them sing in the future. Here's what I've come up with so far. Anyone else have ideas?

Carmen- Who I Am by Jessica Andrews.

Ricky- Kiss By A Rose (or did he already do this?) or World's Greatest by R Kelly

Clay- Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. I think most people agree he has more of a Broadway voice, so I'd like to hear him actually do something off Broadway! I'd also love to hear him sing Circle of Life from the Lion King. Don't know why on that one, but it just popped into my head!

Josh- If he's sticking with Country, he needs to sing some George Strait-- maybe Ocean Front Property?

Ruben- For some reason, all I can think of is Marvin Gaye.

I can't come up with anything for Corey- maybe that means I just dont want to hear him sing anymore

I'm stuck on the others, too. Its hard to think of songs that fall within Kim C's range, or something for Trenyce that isn't Whitney.

You are so right about Paula and Randy's response last night to the question about the bottom 3 in the show ! Paula looked like she swallowed her tongue when the host confirmed that these three weren't any of the ones she would've picked.......she finally nodded quickly and mumbled something. (maybe her kerchief was tied too tightly around her neck).
I am so sick and tired of her (and Randy) always jumping on Simon about his comments and picks. Geez, at least the guy has an original thought in his head, which is way more than I can say about those two.
I sure hope they find two new judges to partner with Simon on Idol 3. The "good guy/girl--bad guy" act is getting really ignorant when the good guy /girl don't have any thing intelligent to say to back up their choices. The first year it was just a novelty. this year it is boring enough that they have to bring in a fourth "guest" judge to sit between them !!

I guess I just don't see that cocky attitude in Kim. She seems nice enough to me, what am I missing? So she cried when people got kicked off, to me that showed she is compassionate.

Also, Kimberly L. cried during the show while they were singing "Proud to Be an American". Nobody criticized her for that. If Kim C. cried during that song, I'm sure she'd be called fake or a camera hog.

Okay, I have to stop reading on page two because the results show was on when the rest posted and I don't get to view it until tomorrow.

Based on the performance, I would (IMO) the ones I liked the least (but not necessarially the bottom picks) were Trenyce, I think she was totally off tonight, when normally she does well; Ricky, I didn't like his song choice and didn't think it was his best performance; Corey, I thought he was singing the song too high and Kimberly C. I thought was yelling part of her song. Now with that said, I think the bottom 3 will be Ricky, Corey and Julia. I will check back tomorrow when I can read further.
