Does anyone know if the Girl of the Year items will go on sale?

Trying to decide on if I should get things with free shipping or wait...

The girl of the year items will not go on sale. The only sale they have is the starter collection or her whole world collection. I would buy them now with the free ship.

I asked a friend recently who is a die hard, longtime American Girl customer, if they ever have big sales or coupon codes or good black Friday deals. She told me the free shipping is about the best they ever offer other than the items on their website they put on clearance. She's never seen a reduction on the dolls or main accessories in all these years. Bummer!! I was hoping for a discount percentage off coupon or something but it doesn't appear likely.

For sale items, don't forget to check the spotlight savings...the sales rotate weekly I think. I just bought Julie's picnic basket for my DD for Christmas. It's normally $48, but it's on sale for $39 this week, combined with free shipping, it's a pretty good deal.
