American Express Points for buying Tickets?

Can anyone tell me if you can buy park passes with American Express points? I have a friend planning a trip and she has tons of points available to her and we're not sure how to go about getting the PP with the points.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

I could have sworn you used to be able to get a 2 or 3 day ticket. I just logged onto Amex rewards and searched for Disney, only DVDs, Dinner shows (Arabian, etc) and timeshare rentals came up.

We order Land's End, Old Navy, Gap, Home Depot, Barnes and Noble cards and use them for back to school, birthday and holiday shopping.

I don't believe you can buy tickets direct with the points, but you can purchase American Express Gift Cards which can then be used to purchase tickets.

Its not a very good use of points though; I think you need 10,000 points for a $50 gift card.

I agree that 10,000.00 points for a GC is a poor use of points.

I don't have AMEX so I couldn't look it up myself.

You used to be able to do it, but once Disney partnered with the Chase Visa, they stopped with Amex.

The points can always be used for the flights (assuming they're flying) or toward the rental car.
