American Express No annual fee Blue card

Hi all,

I am thinking about applying for the AmEx No annual fee Blue card. If you have this card, do you like it? Anything that I should be aware of prior to applying? I have never had an AmEx card, but I do pay off my bills every month.

We love our Amex, but there are different blue cards. One is cash back, one is points for rewards, adn there might be others. We use our cash back most.

We always use our Amex for electronics (computers, tvs, etc). Amex gives you an extra year warranty on top of any manufacturer warranty that came with the product. It is awesome! I like that protection.

Love my blue card. I have the rewards points one. I have gotten gift cards for Potter Barn, Sports Authority etc & purchased a huge wall unit, high end treadmill etc. all using points.

Good card, we use the rewards points...it has paid for Disney Rooms, and other great stuff, no issues and great service!

Just look around to see if there are any deals first- we have Blue Sky and they were running a $300 rewards deal. Used $100 on a car rental and another $100 on a timeshare exchange fee- was super easy!

The only problem I have is that a few local places I shop at (produce/deli markets) don't take AMEX.

I have a gold and blue card. I've had the gold one for ages, and got the blue one when DS started school. We gave him charging privileges on the blue card so that he could pay it off over time, if need be. Love the extra perks that Amex gives you.

Both are rewards cards. Those points build up fairly quickly.

Does the blue card offer the buyer protection that other AmEx cards do? Such as if you buy something and are not satisfied with it they will reimburse you. They do it maybe twice a year or so. Or is that only on the cards that have an annual fee?
