American Cancelled My Flights and Didn't Tell Me!

Hi to the OP (Callalily6)... We're all in suspense now.

Did we understand the situation correctly? (Your actual flights were cancelled, but AA had not yet assigned you to other flights.)

How did you resolve the matter with American?

I PM'd the OP yesterday asking that she come back and let us know what happened. I'm curious to learn how American is dealing with their customers.

I hate it when posters leave us hanging!

While American is the only airline that serves my hometown airport, and that's where most of my FF miles are - I usually don't fly American to Florida. However, next week I'm flying from Chicago to Orlando on American because I got a really good fare, so I hope my flights will be okay. I have been checking my ORD-MCO flight the past few days, and it hasn't been cancelled. Now - if AA wants to cancel my flight home on October 3 and leave me "stuck" at WDW for a few extra days - I won't complain too much!
