American Attractions and Magic Bands?

Hello!

American Attractions has a 14 day Ultimate ticket available right now for £279, £20 cheaper per person than the Disney website.

Does anyone know if tickets bought on that website can be added to Magic Bands? I really love not having to carry tickets with us so would like to know before buying.

Any good/bad stories about American Attractions?

Hi. When we went in 2015 we purchased our park tickets with Virgin Holidays who only supplied an A4 paper copy of the ticket. When we got to MK we had to exchange the paper copy for the character tickets/cards for each member of our party but, like you, I didn't want the hassle of each time going on a ride, into a park etc having to take out a wallet or purse to get the cards out. So, for that reason, we bought magic bands and had our tickets transferred onto them - the only thing I can't answer is if you already have magic bands from a previous trip can you use them this time round so you don't have to spend that saving of £20.

We have used the same magic bands for the last three or four trips.
When setting up the MDE on line with your ticket details there is an option to input the serial number of the one you wish to use.
This number is on the back of the band.

To be clear, nothing is added to any bands. The tickets can be linked to your MDE account and a Magic Band is used to access the information stored in the MDE account, including tickets, Fastpasses, etc. If staying on site the Magic Band can also be used to access your hotel room and to charge to your room account. You can reuse any band from a previous visit, no need to 'select' it or anything. All Magic Bands linked to your MDE can be used.

Forgot to ask - where are you staying (Disney resort or off site)? If you are staying at a Disney resort then you'll get wrist bands upon arrival and can link your tickets to them when you check in

Again, you are not linking anything to the bands. The tickets can be linked to MDE well in advance of checking in. And, for the record, they will need to be linked to MDE in order for you to be able to make Fastpass reservations

My apologies for confusing the thread with 'linking tickets to wrist bands' but the original question was 'can theme park tickets bought on American Attractions website be added to wrist bands?' The answer I'm trying to get across is 'yes they can be added to wrist bands' - I'm presuming tho that Diane hasn't already got wrist bands which if that is the case then she'll need to buy one/some in one of the parks and then link/associate the wrist band with the ticket on her MDE (again I'm presuming that she has done this but several friends of ours that have recently been to DW didn't even know that the MDE app even existed - more fool them eh).

It was at that point that I too wanted wrist bands to save the hassle of keep getting them out so we bought one each and linked them to the MDE (the paper ticket was already entered on the MDE from home but we had to exchange the paper tickets upon arrival).
To make things even more confusing I had surprised my wife by changing our booking so that our third week we checked out of our hotel on International Drive and into a Disney resort so upon arrival we had a set of wrist bands all already assigned to the room but had to have those removed and the ones we bought 2 weeks previous added instead
