Hi all,

As we're nearing the single-digit countdown to our Disney vacation, I've started a mega packing list. For anyone who has stayed recently at Sheraton Vistana Villages, can you help me with a few questions....?

1. What kitchen supplies are provided? (ie trash bags, dishwasher tabs etc)?

2. Do you remember if the coffee maker has a cone/flat filter? Trying to get supplies together...

3. How equipped is the 1-bedroom for cooking? We've got one of the smaller one bedrooms, so I'm expecting two burners, a microwave, and a fridge....

Aside from these basics, do you have any suggestions on items to bring to better equip the villa for an extended stay?

Many thanks!

Answers based more on SVR, it has been a while since we stayed at SVV, but the resorts are essentially the same:
Hi all,

Pretty much everything you need, and don't forget you just call housekeeping if you run out of anything; surprised how many complaints I see of people who felt they were forced to go buy more supplies, but never asked. There will be trash and recycling bags, dish soap, dishwasher packets, paper towels. We generally bring some Lysol wipes, and plastic bags for leftovers (no storage containers provided).

Flat bottom filters. And these they don't supply, although there may be a coffee packet for your first morning. I'm still working through the giant pack of 200 we bought at Publix on our first trip to SVV. Bring a handful along on every trip now.

3. How equipped is the 1-bedroom for cooking? We've got one of the smaller one bedrooms, so I'm expecting two burners, a microwave, and a fridge....
That sounds about right for the most basic 1BR. I've only stayed in 2BR. You still have all the same stuff as the larger units, but probably only place setting for 4 instead of 8 and no oven (cooktop only). Fridge will also be a compact apartment size.

Aside from these basics, do you have any suggestions on items to bring to better equip the villa for an extended stay?
If you have a washer and dryer (not sure about small 1BR) then bring Tide Pods and dryer sheets (easier to carry than liquids if you use those normally). If driving rather than flying, we also bring a good non-stick frying pan (the ones provided are horrible), a good SHARP knife, and good flexible cutting board. We also bring a small salt & pepper set - the resort can only provide the little sealed packets for health code reasons.

Many thanks!

well since pretty sure they all have washers/dryers - would bring some detergent and fabric stuff - they now come in tablets that I am pretty sure you can take in your luggage - just kept little ones away from them.

I think there's a Dollar store right across the street. We shop there for anything that's not supplied.

Thank you! Right across the street? Man.... I can unload half my luggage full of Dollar Store stuff now!

Does anyone know offhand what size coffee pot is at SVV for 1 bedroom? I know it's nitpicky, but looking to buy some coffee filters before we leave....

Dollar Tree store is across the street from Sheraton Vistana RESORT, although that's not too far away. SVV is closer to the best Publix grocery in the area, a nice Walgreen's and the Premium Outlets Vineland. There is another Dollar Tree up I-Drive a bit north on Central Florida Parkway.

Last stay we had in a 1BR it was a standard 12 cup coffee maker. I'm sure all units have the same; they must buy them by the gross.
