AMC Discounts??

Hi, We usually visit the AMC Movie Theater in DTD. Is there any way to get discounted movie tickets for that theater?? Here in RI I can get discounts at AAA for Loews, Entertainment Cinemas, Regal, and Showcase. Does the local AAA in Orlando offer discounts to AMC? Thanks for any help! Joan

I believe that we get our discount tickets through the Entertainment book. I know we did last year anyway. I have not been to the AMC in DD but I would gather that you could use the same tickets that I am talking about. Also your kids can do the program at their website and then get a free kidspack if they met the requirements. I would think that you could use it in DD but I am guessing that around here someone could tell you for sure.

I think they are $4.50 per ticket through hotwiresavingsclub.com too. You can join for a 30 day trial for $1 and purchase tickets the day you join. It is $7.95 per month if you decide to stay with hotwire and you can cancel at anytime.

Hi,

I don't know if you have children, but if you go online to amc theatres website...you can download a form that your children fill out with books that they have read...bring it with you to the concession stand and your child or children (each has to have their own seperate form) can get a free kids' pack. It comes with popcorn, a drink and a tube of m&m's. MY kids love them and I love that they are free!! I have two kids so each them gets a kid's pack and that saves $10.00.

Thank You for the replies! I can not find anything in the Entertainment Book (for Orlando) on the AMC theaters? I do have one child eligible for the reading program and he will do that. I will also look at the Hotwire site. I am still looking for the AAA answer, if they have discount tickets for AMC in the Orlando area? Thanks, Joan

You used to be able to get a small discount at the DD AMC theater if you showed your WDW resort room key. Don't know if that's still the case.

I called AAA in Orlando today, and they do have the AMC tickets. The price is $5.67 plus tax. Hope that helps. You can go to the Auto Club south website for the address and hours of that AAA.

Here in CO we have AMC movie theaters and can purchase passes for movies that have been out for two weekends for $5.50 no tax each at local grocery stores including Safeway and Kroger. The passes say that they are good "nationwide, Special Engagements excluded." Chances are, these can be purchased at local grocery stores in Orlando?

Another good place for AMC perks is Moviewatcher.com. You can join online and they send you a card that entitles you to free popcorn certain days of the week along with other perks.

I earned two FREE AMC tickets, two FREE drinks, and a FREE popcorn through MyPoints, a rewards program. It does take awhile to accumulate enough points, but if you're interested, check out the rewards board on this site. My tickets don't expire until 9/30/05, and they're "good at any AMC theatre nationwide, excluding Canadian theatres."
