We are arriving at POR in just under 2 weeks for a short 5 night stay. In the past we have always used Garden Grocer because we were staying 10 nights and needed a lot of stuff. Now that we have such a short stay we won't need much so I am considering Prime Now. Is it possible to order the items before I get on the plane and have everything delivered to the hotel? Will they hold the groceries the same way that they hold them for Garden Grocer?

TIA!

What all do you need? The DVC resorts have alot more to choose from in terms of groceries. The prices are decent and they have the basics for breakfast, snacks, fruit, lunches, frozen foods, etc. There si also a Hess gas station about .25 off the front of the Boardwalk Resort for things like beer, wine, chips, soft drinks, etc.

I really just need water and a few other things. We won't arrive at the resort until about 11 pm and plan to hit MK at rope drop. The resort stores won't be open those hours. We won't have a car to go off site so I thought prime now would be our best bet. We can always just buy water at the park if needed.

If you're a prime member and are just looking for water and the like, you can do a pantry box which they will hold for you at the desk for sure. If you're looking for some refrigerated/cold items through Prime Now, you may have to actually BE there to receive the items.

Prime Now you could order from MCO while waiting for the Magical Express bus and schedule your delivery. Not sure about delivery hours. I have heard that the smartphone app uses GPS to find your location, so you would need to be in Orlando. I used the website on my laptop and just entered the zip code. If you wanted to do this from home the day before, it would certainly work. Bell services will keep your items just like Garden Grocer.

We just returned from POR. I ordered water from Prime Now the day before we arrived; I was able to designate the delivery time for the next day.

This was the address I used (courtesy of portorleans.org):
Name (Guest)
Disneys Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
1251 Riverside Drive
32830-8514

For delivery instructions I said: "Please deliver to Bell Services for Name (guest) to pick up."

I retrieved the order from Bell Services the night we arrived, and they helped us transport it to our room. We ordered both 24-packs and jugs of water, along with a handful of refrigerated/frozen items. Amazon had those items separately wrapped in an insulated bag with ice packs inside.

I used the code GETITNOW and got $20 off the order - I believe there's a $50 minimum for that code/new customers only.

We also used Dizzy Dolphin Delivery for items we couldn't get from Prime Now, and we were very happy with their service as well.

Thank you so much!!! You just made this trip so much easier on us!!

We did this for our last trip staying at POFQ. We didn't order perishables, and had it delivered two days prior to arrival. We just asked at our checkin, and they delivered it to our room later that evening. Tipped the guy $5 who delivered the box on a dry cleaning cart and we were set for the week!

We used Prime Now at POR a couple weeks ago. It was fantastic. We ordered and it was delivered within 2 hours to Bell Services. When we went to pick it up they told us that they would have to bring it to our room since it was so much. We didn't have any specific refrigerated items, so not sure how that would work- but we just got shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, laundry detergent, sunscreen and other bath items instead of bringing them on the plane (we were there 12 days) in addition to snacks, drinks and water bottles. Love the service!

As a local, there has been some days I couldn't' get a prime now delivery the same day. If pantry will work for you, I recommend that route unless you discover you forgot something and prime now works out well for that situation most of the time.

We want our order to include perishable items (bananas, oranges, yogurt, juice, milk) and alcoholic beverages.
We see them from Garden Grocer, but they are not available from Amazon Now app. Will they show as available when we us the Amazon Now app when we are in the Orlando area, but not at home in Maine?

Garden Grocer prices seem high (I know they charge a premium for the convenience) and it would be nice to be able to compare our shopping list with Amazon Now.

At first I thought the same thing too. A word of warning: if you feel the Garden Grocer prices are high, prepare yourself for the cost of park foods. And snacks. And drinks. We paid about $60 for breakfast items and beer and munchies for the entire week for 4 of us to eat in room...that's close to the cost at the food court ONE day for breakfast. Not even a character meal, just the cafeteria. The reason Garden Grocer is so popular is because they bend over backwards to provide you top service and they do all the work, but it really is a steal compared to restaurants. I haven't heard one bad thing about them yet. Peace of mind is priceless to me.

I have to agree about Garden Grocer. They really are amazing. The only reason I am not using them this time is because I would never be able to get to the $40 minimum order.

My husband totally sees it that way. We can play instead of going to a grocery store and walking up and down the aisles.

I just wanted to compare Garden Grocer vs. Amazon Prime Now for perishable items. People have said they get them from Amazon, but I can't find them when I search.

I know about Disney food prices. Breakfast is our own food in the room. I drink water, we often split entrees, I seldom buy theme park snacks.

I used Prime Now last week at CSR. We actually paid the extra $7.99 to have it delivered in an hour because we were not going to be at the resort long that day. The Prime Now employee called when he was close and I asked for him to leave the order with Bell Services. Bell Services then delivered it to our room. We did not order any perishable items--just some snacks and drinks. It worked great for us and I plan on using it again.

Oh that's good, sounds like you are really on the right track. I am unfortunately not familiar with AmazonNow so I wish I could be better help. Sorry.
